The BEST Gut Friendly Foods To Eat In 2020 - Probiotic & Fermented Foods

  • Here are some of my favorite gut friendly foods at the grocery store. These foods are loaded with probiotic bacteria and help feed the goos bacteria in your stomach. I think the gut is the back bone to your health and you need to foster the good bacteria and avoid too much sugar because that destroys your gut bacteria. Mad love..Bobby, Dessi, Rose, and Art! XOXO

One of my favorite gluten-free things is the Wildbrine gluten-free kimchi that you can get at Sprouts in the refrigerated section. It's almost impossible to eat Korean food if you are gluten-free, but at least I can have my kimchi dish with some sushi rice. Take two eggs over easy and mix it with your rice and kimchi. Add fresh green onions, sriracha, and toasted sesame seeds. A cheap and filling meal and you can use cauliflower rice as well, and I have done that plenty of times. Sprouts also has their kombucha on sale right now for a $1.88 a bottle, but they don't have as much scoby at the bottom as GT's does. Would really love if you did a more through video on this topic, going store to store and comparing ingredients and prices and really getting into all of the different probiotic options. I need to find that Sriracha now!

I've been culturing my own kefir at home for years. It's so easy and so much cheaper than buying it, plus it's kind of fun! :)

You said don’t heat kimchi, but what about sauerkraut? Won’t heat harm the probiotics in kraut too?

So far I've tried the plain Lifeway Kefir and the 365 Strawberry Kefir. The plain Kefir was super sour. I could not drink it without mixing it with juice. Might be really good for smoothies. The Strawberry was really good. The 365 brand was the only one I saw that used actual fruit puree for the flavor. But it did have sugar.
I've also tried the Wild Brine sauerkraut. It's got a serious kick, but I liked it. Expensive though. Around $7 for a small container. Makes me want to go back to the bags of sauerkraut they sell in the meat section.
Bubbie's is on my to try list, but again very expensive. I saw the sauerkraut in Wegmans today for $7.29. I know it's healthy, but I wish it wasn't so pricey.

Hi there! Great content. If I blend plain kefir with fresh fruit, would that kill the probiotics?

Bobby can you a video on best olive to eat. The grocery stores have soooo many. I’ve been eating a brand called Sicilian Village from HEB but it only comes in 1.7oz and expensive to purchase like this. Is there any at Costco?
