If it doesn't respond to antibiotics, you treat with antifungals, even if the infection hasn't been identified, it's just protocol. The daughter shouldn't have had to tell them that. It's a bonkers situation tho to be sure and they did an amazing job figuring it out.

Arthur is a house painter so the first thing I would think is that it has to do with some chemical that's inside of paint in my house or it could have been lead poisoning from paint from the house
I was called The Noid by both of my parents when I was a kid 🙄 I hated it. I'd come into the room and they'd scream "AVOID THE NOID!" All because I'm a red head 😑

The doctor this simple-minded doctor tell us this guy that he doesn't have lung cancer the guy comes there asking if he has lung cancer the guy tells him know he doesn't have lung cancer you're good to go to Germany buddy all the while he knew that he had cryptococcus meningitis and he never said a word so then the guy goes to Germany and he's getting wrong medication the entire time and then what happens is his daughter goes to the doctor's office the very same doctor that claimed that the guy was good and healthy to go and then he for some inexplicable reason she asked him again before she leaves and somehow he changes his mind and finally now decides to tell her that her dad had cryptococcus meningitis and that that could be the exact reason why he's feeling this way and he already knew that right so you got to wonder what was it the second time around that she did to make him change his mind what did she have to do to get this simple-minded doctor to tell her the truth I mean this is crazy how are you going to sit there and tell him that he doesn't have any problems and then he has a fungal infection inside of his goddamn chest and then let him go to a foreign country and spread that s*** around like wildfire you know what I mean it's pretty obvious that the governmental spread that crap around in the ocean and in the air that's what they did this is from a governmental office some bunker adjacent to the 10 circles of hell
