Since Pharos Is Bitten By Sir Sparklepuff, He's Gonna Be Aaravos' Next Pawn To Use In The Civil War. ♟️

And Karim is on his way to becoming the next Viren, since he’s a mage who’s betraying his morals and family for his version of a bright future and to drive out outsiders. Imagine Karim’s face when he’s told by Janai that he’s not better than the man who destroyed their home!

It does make sense since Aaravos also helped Viren corrupt Luz Auria in the first place. He’s been planting the seeds for the sunfire civil war! Pharos is probably being subtly influenced by Aaravos. Maybe once they use the sun seed to heal Sol Regeam, he’ll try to challenge Zubeia for the throne while she’s still weak from almost being corrupted.
I also think the sunfire plot will tie into the main one in a meaningful way. Remember in season 2 had us sometimes cut back to Amaya at the stronghold fighting Janai and the other elves. We had to wait until season 3 to get the payoff for that. I just wished that season 4 and 5 did a better job at pacing them, since it felt like they’re taking up too much screen time. We had three episodes in season 4 dealing with the Karen put on trial for snuffing out the candle, but no reunion scene between Viren and Soren? Or even more flashback scenes to up build up Aaravos? I can understand people being frustrated that Karim is taking screen time away from the other characters and plot lines.

My theory is that Karim loses the sun seed somehow, Janai cures Lux Aurea with the seed and roots out the rebels led by Karim

Somehow I didn't connect Pharos as the bitten Sunfire Elf with his glowing mark in Book 5, but since he was trying to cover it up definitely seemed like he was potentially going to serve as Aaravos' puppet

Unless Aaravos drove the Sunfire Elf King mad, he would not manipulate other elves.
