    Wow.... breathless.....
    I feel absolutely lucky to have been able to see Ayrton compete and win in Interlagos until 1994...
    Winning Brazilian GP in 1993 with that McLaren was magical, impressing, something that only him could achieve...
    I can recall all the moments from that race, but specially one... when first raindrops started to fall, all the crowd was yelling, as if it was a goal scored in a football match.. we all knew that he would win that one in rainy conditions... history...

      Prost is the original McLaren driver, of course. He won three titles with them (should have been 5 actually), and was forced to quit his family, not out of choice like Senna did, but out of necessity.
      Senna was a Honda driver.

    In my opinion the was a gap to go for at that corner, but at idiot risk aswell. Senna got the car at a point where Prost had to decide between letting him through or take both cars of the track. He gambled, as said before, on the fact that Prost normally would back off. The thing is that it was the worst time/place to make that bet, after all, it was a low speed corner and the professor had nothing to lose by closing the door and taking both of the race. I wouldn't let him trough in Prost's place aswell, hahaha!

    Yet drivers spent most of their time managing boost pressure and fuel consumption to get to the end of the race, if we had it today there'd be an outcry about drivers not going flat out.

  • @XandreUK
    @XandreUK Před 10 lety

    I have no clue. I reckon it's because folk just want something to complain about - same thing with tyres; first they're too durable, then not durable enough, then too durable, and the Pirelli people must feel like human yo-yo's trying to keep up.
    But ultimately, the teams will still crank out at least the same amount of power as the 2013 spec engines, probably use a thimbleful less fuel so fuel-saving objectives achieved, I guess, and Vettel will still win it all.
    The more things change...

  • @tiagoBE83
    @tiagoBE83 Před 10 lety

    GT Speedster you have to make your mind on something: at first you point the fact that Prost outscored Senna and only lost because of the "rules" backthen, and right before you claim that Senna was fairly punished for cutting the chicane because of the "rules" backthen (which has been done before by many drivers without any further consideration, but that's not the point here). So, strangely, when it suited Prost, the rule was there to be followed, when it didn't it sucked. Any conflict in there...?

    in 1989 his car broke a lot of times, and anyway he had more victories than Prost, and even J m Ballestre sayd years after that he favoreced Prost at this year ( make a research if you want ) , and w/o the shiit the Ballestre made at Japan, Senna would be the world champion, you can be sure of that.
    and in 1990 senna had a far superior car? so u means that Prost w/o a good car is a shiit right?
    and btw, if was on nowdays, Prost would be punished for what he made in suzuka 1988.
