I think that for small channels the most important thing is to get good presence from the beginning. If you are not popular, people won't care even if you have the best videos and the best content on platform. I am not beginner anymore, but I know how hard it can be (and honestly if I didn't use a lot of Fame - ster, I would have quit a long time ago. It made everything much easier for me, especially getting to 1000 subs and view hours).
Building your own brand instead of hopping on trends is such a great advice.
I’ve realized that Social Media isn’t for the weak. You must have a tough skin and ignore the negative energy/comments. Keep up the good work 👍🏽
this is great advice! 👏
Great video Peter, "Dont complain about the algorithm" 100% correct, you hit the nail on the head there, i couldnt of said it any better
On to the next... Probably the best thing I've heard in a while. That really helped me not to worry and even fear of one content performing badly. Thank Peter!
„Up to the next“ is such an important advice in my opinion which also keeps me going, because with every rep you get better. I have 3 videos with over 10k views, which is insane for my small channel, but also some videos, which barely got over 100 views. Overall these views mean nothing if I don’t continue and get better through the reps.
Thanks again for the reminder and motivation Peter!
The brand deal part is currently something new to me personally and difficult to handle, but I will follow your advice and look out for red flags.
I’m at the same stage dude, and I don’t quite agree with Peter, I think for small creators working with brands for goods is not a bad start. This way, they at least begin to see some advantages and profits from the channel, which will help them not to burn out. But take products that you yourself would be interested in trying and that are related to your niche.
Very insightful! Don’t hesitate to dig even deeper into the business side of things this in later videos 😊
Might do!
Great video! found you with mr iceland and the nurf guns you always bring such positivity I have 3+ monetised channels and it's so true lol the crap you work the hardest on sometimes nobody sees and then low effort will blow up sometimes so just keep grinding till the day you get to make the im crying video cause we finally got there! life goal crying video!
Another Masterclass for free here ... just sayin ... I'm still surprised you didn't hit a million subs yet. I still remember the celebration for the first 2k Subs lol . Popping confetti and all on your lil brown table . Fast forward several years later .. 600k subs .... NOT enough . You deserve more. You are deeply appreciated. !! Aloha
I Slept yesterday thinking, about how to and what to do next? and voila! woke up this morning and logged in to CZcams and there was this video on my feed to understand "move on to the next!" Incredible ❤
Great advice :) On a side note, I love when I watch your videos and an ad break happens featuring you for Motion Array!
Your video looks so good. quality is excellent. Got a little 3-D pop going on. Love the new set up.
Thank you Peter for these videos!
Excellent Peter 👍
Perfect timing!!!! Ty 🙌🏻
Needed this, thanks Peter
This video is amazing. I am seeing your videos many times.
Hjälpsamma tips Peter! Genuint, tydligt och underhållande på samma gång 👏🙂
Great info man.. thanks for sharing Pete! 👊
Thank you for the insight. Very helpful.
I've been bodybuilding for 2 decades and still don't have the arms you had! They were sick brother!
On to the next.. that hit spot on for me.. 🙌🏻 looking way to much on analytics 😅
I started watching you when you had 4000 subs, more than me now haha, , been awesome to see your channel grow, so when you give advice I like to listen.
Appreciera the support 🔥
Very good! I'm considering starting a casual channel myself, and this was great information!
Great content as always. Thanks for posting!
i'm glad, proud and jelous too😅
congrats Pete
very good advice, Peter. I really appreciate that you took your time to talk heart-to-heart.
That some amazing advice Peter. Btw i love your channel !
Hey Peter, a little feedback: your way to "talking head" and your sense of humor is unique (imho). That's how you got me 🤠. Beside that, of course your content is also great. What I want to say: no matter how your channel will evolve: keep on being Peter Lindgren💪. Meanwhile, I try to learn from you as much as I can, thanks man!
Love these videos. So glad YT pushed it to me. Thx Algo!
One thing I have realised creating content for over 2 years now is the fact that stuff takes time but also the qdvantage is you grow as you keep creating skill wise.
It absolutely does take time lol!
Im always left a little wiser after watching your videos! This video made me come to the conclusion that my channel is going to be in Swedish. I’ve filmed 3 episodes in English but I don’t feel my character, charisma or humor shines through when talking in English. Also made me realize I just want to have fun with it and not focus on the money. I get wrapped in thoughts like “I have to do it in English because it can go viral easier” but I already make a substantial living doing client work 7-10 days a month and shouldn’t do it just to go viral… thank you for this video and the sincere talk to the camera, I really enjoy these types of videos from you Peter💪🏽 big up
You're one of my CZcams heroes! Love the humor and the personality. I want to be just like you when I grow up. ;-)
Super point on the viral video thing! Great insight.
Having managed to create and upload my first 7 videos now in the last 7 weeks, staying consistent and getting everything from 3000 views on one video to 100 on another, the algorithm is the least of my problems - it can all be traced back to choice of a clear topic (or lack of topic) and the thumbnail/title-combo it seems. All videos have lots of impressions, some have a much higher clickthrough rate than others (topic/thumb/title hitting or not).
But:
on a couple of low flyers, when I look at what videos CZcams showed my videos on as recommended next etc they are *all* over the place, my videos being shown after totally unreleated videos and topics.
Usually this happens early on after releasing, then, it could be as much as a week or two or even longer, youtube suddenly «finds» the audience to a certain degree.
My latest video about how a piece of cardboard can kickstart your youtube career, has been suggested to a lot of viewers watching 3D-printing videos for some reason … like, whut? And a *Trump*-video of all things … and videos about airpods … and my video is clearly about starting a youtube channel using a minimal set of gear, made from cardboard, nowhere in the video or description do I even mention 3D-printers …
But: it could be that the people watching that 3D-printing video was in a segment/has interests that align with diy filmmaking.
So don’t stare blindly at the stats and immediately think the youtube algorithm is f**ked up, because it might just be hou need to work more on your thumbs and titles if impressions are high on hour video but clickthroughs are low.
And if your viewers mostly drop off after a minute or two one definitely needs to work on scripting, pacing, foreshadowing and dropping hints of content coming up later in the video to keep people interested :)
I really like this guy
Appreciate that!
Boa !!! obrigado pelas dicas, você é uma referência muito forte !
This talk hit me right in the face! Thanks👍
Drone videography and photography is my out ... And I've made friends all over the world into the same thing! And then get acknowledgment when out on the ground. It's all a learning curve .... To get better! It's my out from the mundane. Be nice to take off etc ........ Algorithm ..... Pahhhhhhh
Many good points and tips Peter 👍😊
I need a few new plates! That’s a good idea 😉 great video bro
Well done, great information Peter. Thanks for sharing 😉👌
Until next time, this is Chris from Chicago saying, "Thank you! You're the best." 👏
Very reflective and openly spoken. Thanks for the advice Peter!
I want to start a channel as well. But still can't figure out, if I should do it in German or English. My Instagram account and my whole online appearance as a photo- and videographer is in German because of local client jobs. But I don't know, if I should switch my social media stuff and my future CZcams channel to English. Any advice? :)
Thanks for amazing vidoe 🙏🏼✌️😉
Very interesting one!🔥
What's that howling sound in the background? It really gets into your head when you listen on headphones... Is it something in the new studio? Dedicated fan ❤.
Might be echo? I didn’t hear anything while editing, but haven’t dailed in the space properly yet either 👀
Good stuff Peter! Thanks for the inspiration and direction. Can we have some more please?
nice havee been here since tthe hair era
Great video
Great time
Thank you
I will start after my thesis work now in June 🇸🇪
i'm writing this comment but i don't know if Peter will see it or not, So
let me tell you guys, i was following Peter since he has 30K or less, and i promised him in one of his videos, that i will start my CZcams Channel,
and what happen?
yeh, i started my staff because of this guy, i know maybe it's not a lot to him but i really appreciate his advices, from here or from his family Channel since he created it.
So, know i'm focusing on my channel, and trying to make it easy and i will make my channel a successful channel.
See you in the next video.
(my comment ends exactly with his words)
Thanks Peter
Thanks for the tips, Peter. Do you have any more suggestions on negotiating with brands? I get plenty of free products but only one or two (good) sponsors a month. How do I reach higher quality brands?
Would appreciate any guidance. Thanks!😊
Oh my god!!! I almost started to set up a new channel before watching this … whew! 😏
Phew 😮💨
nice
🤟❤
I click the 👍at the start of the video
Hi Peter. Do you feel the algorithm is influenced by the larger influencers or is it the other way around? I started thinking about that the other day. If someone does well doing something new, does the algorithm look at that and then suggest similar channels/videos?
This one hit me in the heart. I’ll make a video that does great (by my standards) then one will flop and I’ll lose motivation and it’ll be a month or more until I publish again. #Embarassed
For me it is big problem to start film myself everywhere and specially in public
Then don't film yourself in public.
I solved that problem by filming my videos in my studio/workshop, works like a charm ;)
Hey Peter, I live in Stockholm and would like to learn video editing, do you have classes?
I Have my Final Cut Pro course available online!
Covers more or less everything I know 💪🏼
No time to be honest mr. Lindgren, you’re a household name for sure ;)
Peter, again manual indoor? 😂....we know how this will end up 😅
I have rhis idea that you have found out that there are more wievs in making videos talking about “How to become a youtuber…etc…etc” then making the tech videos you did a year ago…am i right🙂🙂🙂
Not at all, its actually quite the opposite!
@@PeterLindgren1 👍💪😎…All youre videos have good content…🙂
He lost hair because of us
Not really, I decided to shave it off because it got super thin and looked ugly.
How can this video have 0 views but 5 "thumbs up"?
"the algorithm"
Some people click the «thumbs up»-button before they start watching ;) We all know we’re in for a good time anyway so might as well just get the thumb up outta the way ;)
Aww come on Peter clickbait is below you
Lmao, all the videos I do with clickbait perform better than the ones I don’t.
This though, is not clickbait.
Background is not looking great looks lika kitchen..better to change the direction of your desk..#just saying
Good thing I’m liking it, since I’m the one working there!
I can change it around the way I want, whenever I want, but I don’t right now :)
Your last posted Video title says you are leaving. The click bait thing is so old. I refuse to watch it.
Its difficult to be original so its the same content over and over again…just a little bit different.
He’s leaving his old studio for a new studio. Thats was true and the main meaning. He’s leaving his all stuff to start new things!
aku sih mau unsubscribe aja
Yeah, and if you’d watch you’d understand why.
Judging by the cover isn’t a good trait to have :)
😂 Peter 🎉 keep doing you
all these videos are about starting youtube and tips for youtube and
