Harry Potter Film Locations Revealed tour -Black Park, Slough, Buckinghamshire - free entry. Black Park is a must see place to visit for all fans of the Harry Potter films as it was used in four Harry Potter films. My film takes you on a tour around the scenic Black Park, showing you exactly where each scene was filmed and provides information about the filming.
Black Park in Buckinghamshire is a country park, near Slough, which is adjacent to Pinewood Studios and has been a popular location with film and tv productions over the years! Black Park has been the location in several Bond films, the Hammer films of the 50s - 70s and has appeared in Star Wars, Harry Potter and Marvel franchises. It has over 500 acres of woodland, heathland, grassland and a large lake and can easily double for foreign countries or even planets in another galaxy!
Why not visit yourself and walk in the footsteps of Harry Potter, Ron and Hermione? The films made here based on author J.K.Rowling’s novels were: Harry Potter and The Philosophers Stone; Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets; Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Among the Harry Potter actors who were present at Black Park, during filming were: Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter, Emma Watson as Hermione Granger, Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley, Robbie Coltrane as Hagrid and Evanna Lynch as Luna Lovegood. The scenes filmed at Black Park included:
• In Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone when Harry, Ron and Hermione visit Hagrid’s Hut and when Hagrid takes the pupils into the Forbidden Forest where they see Voldemort for the first time.
• In The Chamber of Secrets scenes filmed at Black Park were when Harry, Ron and Hermione visit Hagrid’s Hut; Harry and Ron follow the spiders into the Forbidden Forest; Harry and Ron drive the Ford Anglia into the Forbidden Forest and are chased by spiders.
• In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: Hagrid takes Harry into the forest to see the first challenge in the Tri-Wizard Tournament, dragons!
• In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix the Hogwarts’ train station scenes were filmed here where the pupils arrive and depart.
Black park is easy to visit and has hard concrete accessible paths in some parts of the park, a very nice café, food stall and toilets. It also has Go Ape climbing for children. Large pay and display car park. Open 8am - 7pm. Very scenic lake and walks, great facilities, next to pinewood and outstanding movie history.
