Is it just me or was it kind of odd how Sakura was able to push Zangief into a corner? Doesn't it usually go the other way around or is this matchup an exception? Or is it just Uryo specifically being intimidating as the best Sakura player?
I think he is are super overpowered at casual level play. High health, super easy, damaging mix ups after a knock down, easy execution and mashable moves. Obviously when you get to mid/high level play it probably changes. I don't have enough interest to work out what my characters true blockstrings or how to beat out a mashed spd with a normal.
I like how a russian, who normally wrestlers with bears, and only his thumb is as thick as o normal persons arms. And still gets beaten up by a little girl . .
@22Travail You obviously couldn't tell a joke if it'd kara-throw you, then hit you with a level 3 focus attack on wake-up, and then Raging Demon your ass for a shiny ultra finish. Oh, & btw, I've done her trials, as well as all of the trials, twice! Need proof?

Because backdash is immune to throws, and Gief's SPD has long punishable recovery on miss (and so do all other command throws).

high level players can avoid the grabs easily, so high level zangief play is about punishing people when they run from the grab, not landing the grab.
