I love the way Uryo handles the pressure of losing significant health very quickly, he composes himself and puts his head back in the game. Also those last 2 victories were so clean and nice to watch. Very good matches.
It is indeed less damage. It's either to build meter or to guarantee the ultra because the ultra can still actually miss if mis-timed. The shoryu right before sets the opponent up at a distance so that it's impossible to miss.

This tourney shows skills with a little luck can overcome obstacles (including handicaps on matchups). Uryo just outplayed kazu (you can tell with every on-point hits and counter footsies). I'm juat glad this tourney made my week better since it was turning shitty.
Anyone notice that throughout these matches Uryo looks extremely nervous. You can clearly see him making a lot of effort to calm himself down. Also good Shit Uryo!
@JustinRyukyu Well according to some of the top players, they're kind of agreed on Fei Long being pretty powerful, as well as the Yun/Yang duo, with the edge given to Yun. Kindevu thinks Sakura is A-tier, but Daigo, Tokido and Mago think she's not that much better. Given what I've seen, she's got great combo links, decent damage, and quite a few mixups. She has a touch more HP than Yun (Arcade Ed.) and a touch less than Ken or Ryu. Maybe she has some priority and range issues?

In the hands of a highly skill player (Uryo) Sakura is an A tier character. Overall, I still believe she is a B tier character. ... Until the patch and she's going to be even more beastly.

Well.. I play Sakura and I'm a pad player. I've never had any issues with either combos or movement. Pretty much never drop anything. I play on Xbox default pad

@mynameistnb sakura has so much trouble with divekicks. and her dp is ass if you use it like you would ryus (as an anti air). her pokes are alright, but not great. yea she has fairly high damage combos, but her ultras are pretty low damage. and where did you get sakura a tier from? shes more like mid-high b. don't comment if you dont know what youre talking about
The only way I can win is by using Seth, and wasting time with him. Like once, there was this 10,000 bp guy as my oponent. I didn't stand a chance so I just jumped and teleported around for 99 seconds.

It's pretty smart of Uryo using one of the less used characters. I believe that can become an advantage in certain tournaments/games.

Her tastu combos are very tough 1 framers and require a lot of accuracy. As you can see by how many Uyro missed. She is in no means OP.
