It’s a good thing you brought up how studio Pierrot isn’t as big as it used to be, because studios like Mappa and Toei are having great success. Pierrot needs an anime to lead em into the new era, and it looks like Bleach is it. As a Bleach fan I’m just happy it’s getting the love it deserves, and a faithful remake would be amazing.
Pierrot is big given they have had some really big success legacy with both Bleach, Naruto and YuYu Hakusho but the issue is that they haven't really adapting anything big since Tokyo ghoul which went horrible due to the director and the studio has since been kinda off the radar. I wouldn't call Toei successful given they have been incredibly lazy and should have adapted some seasonal animes years ago with the amount of stored cash from the DB and One piece franchise, they are just incredibly lucky that the Live action of OP was a hit and netflix are advertising One piece for Toei. Mappa I agree but they started out as a passion company and was a hotspot for talented animators, we just have to see how long they are going to get away with horrible work schedules given some animators have sweared to never work in that studio anymore..
Remake of OG bleach will be a huge force to increase the manga sales.
Hopefully if peirrot understand their stuff they are wrong with and make tybw and later projects top teir than it will be worth it. Right now boruto and bc isn't in production can make this condition better for bleach c3 animation and peirrot to step up
And bring new watchers to the series which also brings more dvd/blu ray sells merchandise etc
An uncensored version of the old anime with elements of that time's light novels and related materials would be welcomed. Polished, refined and close to the original manga. We will see.
Well studio pierrot did say about 2 weeks ago, that bleach is their number one priority, notice they didn't say bleach tybw in general
Maybe if we align all of this, it's possible for a remake, light novel anime adaptations or movies and even non canon anime movies as well
Non canon movies seems the first way they should go in that way they can make alot of money to get more animators and resources in the future 😊

Not to mention with the poster, the ichigo showcased is also not drawn in the original arc's style, that blocky look of og bleach, but rather a more modern drawn style reminiscent of tybw

remaking the anime following the actual manga scenes with no censory would be amazing and without those unnecessary addition they did to the anime +amazing animation especially since the hueco mundo arc was so long compared to the manga and it wasn't as enjoyable as the manga
If Toshiro and Rukia can get a movie about them, why not a Kenpachi movie? A very popular character with a background that still needs to be explored.
Maybe it takes place in between post-CFYOW and before the hell arc. The new villain could be from the animal realm or something else...

id like to add something about you talking about kubo having to go full time for the hell arc but thats not necessarily true, as we know sui ishida has a contract so that hes allowed to put out chapters whenever he feels like it with his new manga choujin X, sometimes he does 10-11 chapters a year and other years he only does about 6-7 so if kubo got that it would be an amazing help and he would enjoy writing the hell arc so much more without any health problems....might like it so much hell arc aint the finale (ok thats coping)
also would love to add i love how your one of the only not only bleach youtubers but anime youtubers that go in depth with animation and the studios which i love to talk about because cour 3 seems to be looking up with the recent changes we will just have to see how much new stuff they can bring on

Kubo is just an inept troll he could've easily put out more for the Hell arc years ago he chooses not to thus leaving the Bleach stans on copium yet again.

I heard about a remake about a week ago.
Going to be going over the anime and make it more accurate to the manga and have Kubo more involved in it being made correctly

I think they should definitely do everything up to tybw Arc, new and consistently almost the same
It would be strange, imo if there are multiple arcs that look way too different from each other.
And this is coming from someone who thinks/said (since the beginning of tybw arc) that the Fullbring arc has the best art style

The best thing is right now that boruto and bc isn't in production for now it is possible that they might shift a good and large portion of that team to c3 of tybw so that it can make c3 alot better.
Hope they understand their stuff and just as director itsumi tells in interview like they gonna focus on quality more from now as bleach was a massive success then it will be worth it for us fans and for studio too.

@@animeweeb29 tbh after naruto ended and they had boruto,tokyo ghoul and bc they actually fumbled cause of their bad decisions but I think that incase of bleach they are getting a good amount of profit by it and right now they don't have any other big shounen at work+ just like dbzimran said studio peirrot is doing some kind of reconstructing so I guess it is right now best outcome to have a step up so it might last long from now on.

I would honestly love a Brotherhood or Crystal remake of the anime, where the series is more faithful to the source material, which would include uncensored content, restoring Ichigo and Orihime's dynamic, color correcting things like Ichigo's reiatsu colors, White's first appearance, etc. it'd remove the filler or most of it (I believe that most of the series before the Zanpaktou Rebellion filler Arc would be covered in the 250 canon episodes, so that would be a good sign), it'd restore Chad's character from the diservice in the original anime, and such. A Brotherhood/Crystal treatment for Bleach is long overdue and would transcend both the anime in manga by being an adaptation of the manga as it should've been from the start.
In an ideal scenario, Kubo would be able to insert the original length of the Substitute Arc and the Lost Agent Arcs, unmarred by Editorial meddling, the former getting just cut and the latter because the Editors wanted Kubo to hurry up and bring the Shinigami back. That'd probably be asking a bit much since Kubo doing the Hell Arc would probably hold priority.
The Bleach version of FMA:B. Would be god damn amazing, or even OVA seasons of the main cannon arcs would be fucking fire

I think they made a rerun of the first cour before cour 2 aired. If we can get the schedule of the rerun, we might be able to determine whether cour 3'll air in summer or fall.
A great vid from rebirth. I am all for a remake as diehard fan. Hope peirrot undertsand their stuff and get more talents and get cour 3 and 4 top teir animation. If they make animation peak than it is possible that it will skyrocket in profit cause its bleach the hype for c3 is so good so far too. Give us best product and we gonna get u as much as we can.

I've been saying for years we need a Bleach (Kai) treatment, but handled better. Condense the story down to maybe 4 or 5 arcs 12/13 ep each. Cut all filler. Update animation to be on par or at least in the same art style as TYBW, new/remastered OST, with light novel and databook stories implemented. Basically the most optimal way to consume bleach would be to watch "Bleach: Kai". Would also bring in the viewers who's main complaint is either its too long or they can watch 4:3 hand drawn anime because of the dated art style. A remaster would fix all these issues and get so many new people into Bleach and even us veteran viewers will watch every episode to see what changed and how they improved the anime. Keep it closer to the manga than the original anime, less ichiruki shipping since that was a studio decision not kubos fpr example

I think a Bleach remake falls into a similar boat as the Urusei Yatsura remake. What I mean by that is Urusei Yatsura is an iconic anime that really didn't NEED a remake. Sure animation quality between the 80s and now would show a huge difference but that would apply to ANY 80s anime. The original anime covered pretty much everything it needed to (Urusei Yatsura was very episodic so missing a chapter here and there wasn't a big deal) with it really only missing one notable story arc that could easily have just been made into an OVA to celebrate the series. That's how I felt going into the remake, it wasn't needed.
And then episode 1 won me over the completely. From the opening referencing the varies part of the franchise over the years, the commerial break card recreating the first chapter cover, them able to give Lum her proper hair colour thanks to today's technology, I could feel how much the people working on the remake loved the franchise. Really my only cristism was a slight bit of censorship due to the change in standards for what a "kids" anime can show (though they still pushed as much as they could, I'll give them that).
That's how I feel about Bleach. Multiple fan edits already exist that cut out the padding (I even made one myself) and the overall fixes I would want (Orhime's backstory, a completely manga accurate version of Memories in the Rain [combining the OG anime eps and the ova is possible, I've done it but it is impossible to due without it being a bit janky], and some uncensored scenes) I didn't think were enough to warrent a remake (instead hoping we get them as anime cutscenes in a Bleach game). However, the second I see ep 1 with modern animation and the music going, I'd be all for it.
CFYOW can work more as movie if we are going with the Logic rebirth birth, where Can Shuhei carry the movie??? Like if people are already not so optimistic about that then how much more if "we prolong the time Shuhei is the MC" By making CFYOW a full blown season????
So with that logic it is a safer bet for it be a movie, Despite me wanting it to be a dull on season so that less content will get cut.
Another Pro for CFYOW is that to those who read it, the novel don't really rely solely on Shuhei's star power and its more so the lore it actually contain. For non novel readers then yeah CFYOW might appeal less since Shuhei will be the MC. To those who at least read the novel, I think shuehei is not the main selling point for them
I think cfyow as seasonal anime is better cause it is more of a lore stuff and I think having being divided in movie would interrupt things a lot. Rather we do knot always love you will work a lot more for a movie series. Just my opinion
Nah a Bleach remake with Taguchi directing would be a blessing it could even enhance the mangas greatness so people can finally experience the product the way it was meant to be watched. For a movie instead of doing a time skip after TYBW maybe make a movie about Ichigo n Orihime romance with some action in it as well.

In my opinion, what is meant by 0:56 is, Kubo himself will create or lead this project in full, So it's not like Kubo just let go of this project and focused on making Hell Arc
because from what everyone knows, in general, anime is an adaptation of an existing manga, while original work means something created in the anime industry without a manga, do you know about original anime? it doesn't have a manga but there is an anime what does that mean? everything in the anime is canon, and yes, it is very likely that Bleach will be remade, but not like the existing canon episode count, but also adding things that should have been there if at that time he had time and was not sick,
I will give an example:
in the old Bleach anime adaptation after episode 1 is episode 2, but in this new project after episode 1 of the old anime adaptation, episodes 2 and 3 will be completely new and not in the manga, then continue with episode 4, taking from episode 2 of the old anime adaptation, more or less like that in my opinion.
hopefully if they remake it, they can get the english voice actors to have the chilling and stoic way the japanese actors say bankai (minus our boy zaraki)

I'm not going to hold my breath on it being a remake/reboot (I would really love for that to be what it is) but like for Naruto's big celebration they had, they just did that cool animation short of "best of" moments. One Piece doing a remake gives me SOME hope that maybe some studios and creators are more open to remakes/reboots, I just don't want to get my hopes up.

Bleach deserve a reboot with Madhouse. Frieren just looks amazing, so Bleach should get the same treatment. Studio Colorido is 2nd choice, they did great with BTW. If its Pierot again, it will just be a slideshow with zero animation again

Chad does not suck. Just because he's not what you wanted him to be doesn't mean he sucks. He plays his role as Ichigo's friend, coming to terms with his own insecurities and self doubt, became stronger and was able fight by side with him all the way till the end.

One Piece became a good adaptation with good animation and a great schedule because they changed director as Wano started (rather than it being about Toei). So maybe that's what BLEACH needs...(or does your agenda keep you from thinking that lol)

Except for the censorship i don't really see the reason, the OG is vastly superior in animation departpent then the project led by the TYBW Team.
Even some of the really old fights still kick ass, with additional scenes and not being rushed piece like the new adaptation.
Overall, if it was led by some proper people, then yes, if we have Taguchi "not care" agenda i prefer the Bleach to stay the way it was.
It could improve the paccing, and after been reading the manga I see there is a lot of stuff the OG anime has omitted from the manga and in some cases changed the meaning in some scenes just to put in a gag.. I highly doubt OG bleach is going to get remaked in the same sense as One piece is getting a full remake (WIT is only going to cover east blue only). There is just too much content as it would require 125 episodes adapting about 4 chapters each episode.
