- Here's our discussion on how much UFC 303 is selling for. Dana White has already said the card's live gate is way over 20 million dollars and as of now the lowest ticket price for UFC 303 is literally $1,200. We're talking nosebleeds at the price. Is this good or bad for the sport?

The average fan is being filtered out for celebrity spectacles
People talk shit about Brazilian crowds but they ignore that diehard Brazilian fans of Aldo from the glory days of the UFC going to Brazil, just can’t justify or even afford these prices. They’ve got rich snobs who don’t actually care in the crowd. And that’s happening all over now with the ufc crowds
@@casillasscorer That is what the UFC wants now. They want the influencers and wealthy there and could care less about the actual fan. The average fan can't afford a live event anymore.
Every event is the Superbowl I guess😂. Naw. These are Taylor Swift prices. The only thing more brutal than the hits in the octagon is the hit on our wallets.
@LowLight420 If the arenas were mostly empty all the time and they had to hire seat fillers, any company would go bankrupt... hi, my name is common sense 😂

The reality is Mcgregor has transcended the sport. So there are sports fans that haven't watched a single UFC fight since July 2021 when he broke his leg that will still buy this fight. Because it's about seeing Conor. Has mma become too expensive? No. Because the individuals, restaurants, bars, etc. buying this fight only do so when Conor fights. He's the mike tyson of mma. And those years and years he doesn't fight, 99.99% of sports fans don't watch mma. And this is coming from somebody who loves the sport and watches every event. Sorry for the novel lol
That’s why we all pirate those ppv streams. When Dana White gambles 35k a hand at the casino, I don’t lose much sleep over my choices.
When he blows more than a fighters show and win money in one bloody poker hand…. ($12k/$12k as documented on the low end)
When a fight night live tickets are $385 for the last row of the upper deck in Salt Lake City we have a problem
Yeah that's crazy
UFC in Toronto was $912 for the absolute worst seats.
I paid $250 a ticket to go to UFC 291 last July
400 for nosebleeds in anaheim
400 for nosebleeds in London also
The sad thing is that old school fans (myself included) wanted the UFC to go mainstream and compete with the Big Four sports and this is what we get. Over priced tickets for a washed Conor that will get crumbled inside 3 rounds.
Except Connor gets his back as agreed to. Friends wagers fulfilled... Racket!
Mcgregors been washed for close to a decade
I can go to 3 New York Knicks playoff games in Madison square Garden for what it cost to go to one UFC show. Football isn’t even close in cost.

I went to Jones/DC 2 and Mcgregor/Diaz 2 and I paid $300 for a lower bowl ticket in the 100s section. Today that wouldn’t even buy me a ticket in the nosebleeds
Probably just about pay for your parking! 😂
I went to jones/Gustafson 2 and paid $200 for seats right above the floor….
Yes.
This is why I never feel bad for not paying for a UFC PPV, even though I watch every signle one. 🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️

they ppv model needs to go
Just pirate it? Been doing it every week since 2016 pay for ESPN so I get fight nights for free now but didn’t used to or go to a bar or restaurant with it playing? Or unless you have 0 friends that watch have 8 people pitch 10$ to all watch together?
They charge that much for Americans to watch the sport. In 90% of countries you just buy a subscription to a streaming service to view PPV’s

$700 a ticket for UFC 269 for us to sit about halfway down the lower level and I still wanted to watch the big screen to see the fights better.
No “UFC” is getting more Expensive.
Very very big distinction. And I agree. I went to two bellator shows in Chicago, a year apart and I paid the same 110$ for basically the same seats but a diff angle.
You’re very correct the UFC is price gouging for the product
Facts. Just bought tickets for One FC’s event in Denver for $150 each for good seats. Shit when the tickets first went on sale, floor seats were only about $350.
This!
PPVs cost a couple hundred to thousands to see live and it’s been that way for years. Then they wonder why people pirate streams and watch at home
Edit: I’ve been to like 3-4 fight nights and each one gets more expensive each year it comes to my city
Some people buy watches, objects that have value and can last forever. Im buying tickets to this fight, something that will end in one day and holds zero value. And then home boy was calling it an investment. Its not an investment, its a loss
It's a memory😂
Definitely not an investment, but not a loss if the experience was worth it (to you)
I can tell that the illegal streams for 303 would be through the roof
100% 🤣
I paid $350 for 2 seats to 232 in 2018 (rescheduled due to picogram)
I paid 650 for 2 tickets to watch 298 in 2024. Ridiculous.
Can't imagine going through the reschedule process man.
@GazerPlur420 oh I grabbed them when they rescheduled to LA. I had a buddy who had already paid for the hotel and plane tickets, he was pretty pissed. I got him a shirt.
Doesn't seem that expensive compared to other sports.
NBA teams play 41 home games. Similar prices and basketball games don't even last as long as just the main card. A basketball game very rarely lasts longer than 3 hours....... Almost every UFC main card has lasted at least 3 hours and that is not including roughly 6 hours or prelims and early prelims.
Lower Bowl tickets for the upcoming Game 7 Denver/Minnesota are selling for $700+.......... Each......... For a game that won't even last 3 hours.
Over twice the price per ticket that you are complaining about for 33% of the time in the seat you are paying for and that is for a team that has a long term lease on the arena compared to the UFC renting the arena for the night.
@tmzz3609 the tickets I bought were nosebleeds. I could touch the wall behind the highest seat in the arena.
As a semi-casual fan...I'll say this. I'm no longer interested in seeing McGregor fighting, but I'm rapidly becoming morbidly curious how his career will end. I know most of the MMA shows/podcasts are casually ignoring the fact that the dude has been doing tons of drugs and is mentally questionable, but the appeal of "he's such a good fighter" is quickly being replaced by "oh this will be a sh_t show..let's watch".
Its good to see some people with common sense. Most people still think its 2013 and that mcgregor is some type of star. He is literally just a wwe character the UFC used for popularity and to bring in pro wrestling fans.
Dana is trying to squeeze every penny out of his little golden boy before the sun sets, no matter how bad the quality of the product is.
Ive actually been having similar thoughts for a while. I don't think his fans realize just how long its been since hes had a win particularly at lightweight. And people have only been getting better while he seems to have already peaked .
I mean in the ufc he literally only has 1 win at lightweight a long time ago
@@procow2274in fairness he and chandler are fighting at 170 not 155. Not saying that to like, imply it’s an entirely different story or anything lol. But it is a slight difference
You’re kidding, right? That’s been Conor’s shtick since pretty much Day 1; the “Damn I hate this guy! I’ll gladly pay to watch him get whooped.” The same shtick Ali copied from Gorgeous George. “Morbidly curious to watch this shit show” is just the next logical step. Between that & the chance it might be the last time to see this shit show explains why the ticket price is so high.
Nobody is ignoring the fact that he's been popping drugs! It's literally in every video and comments section. Click on any post of his and you'll see the guy-covered-in-white-powder-screaming meme
They are still filling stadiums from cageside to the nosebleeds. So just like anything else. Something is worth what someone is willing to pay.
i used to spend almost $1200 a year on ufc. then i stopped. and still watch.
That's the issue, the individual fan who spend thousands is replaced by the corporate sponsors' millions.. 'real fans' are reduced to an online presence, and the UFC is ok with it..
YES
UFC 292 cost 500 a seat and we werent even on the floor
$500?
I've never seen floor seats for under $1,000
500 is super cheap I would expect to be in the parking lot for that price
That’s not expensive tho, I’d expect that for a decent seat
I was on the floor for 292 it was 700
@@ultimatechickenhorsesweat2614do you understand what you’re saying
Tickets in general to many events are too expensive, but UFC events especially don’t offer that much to the viewer way up in the stands. It’s more worth it to just stay at home at that point because you’re still paying 300-400 dollars for those seats. Unless you have seats on or near floor level, save your money up for an event when you can afford it.
That being said, the environment of a UFC event is like no other. To be surrounded by tens of thousands of fans who are all as invested as you, seeing their reactions, and just feeling that rush of the crowd is something you should feel at least once.
I will never attend a UFC event in my life due to ticket prices. Not the only one. Greedy bastards wouldnt mind if fighters were seeing more cause of it, but no...
I spent less than $300 for two seats in loge seating with a great view for holloway vs mcgregor with sonnen vs rua as the headliner. the last event near me was $500 for nose bleeds per ticket
I'll just buy a bigger TV and be just as happy
I've never once paid for a UFC fight, nor any fight for that matter; that's why I'm on the internet.

@@zs1337btw ARGGG
Who are they selling it to? Most Irish people won't travel to see McGregor anymore.
Of course it is. But they are not the only ones pricing people out. WWE have increased prices for their PLEs dramatically. Premier League tickets, especially for the big teams. Even concert tickets for Springsteen and AC-DC are more expensive than a week's holiday somewhere like the Costa del Sol.
thats why you watch local and small, heard cage warriors is like 100 quid for a ticket and drinks and i support a league 2 team and my season ticket is only 100 quid, same entertainment as the expensive ones
It always has been too expensive, but that didn't stop me from watching/going to events.
Unfortunately it's gotten *prohibitively* expensive to the point that I haven't bought a PPV in years and won't be going to any events for the foreseeable future.
they wanted 650 CAD for Strickland v Du Plessis, they tripping and lying about the numbers they put up 100%
So, I feel like I have a good mind to chime in on this before even watching the video. You guys have used clips from several of my videos from previous UFC events from my main channel and my MMA channel. I can tell you that the difference in the close seats from UFC 261 to UFC Austin 2023 has increased unbelievably. I’ve attended well over a dozen UFC events in the last three years, and it seems like every time there’s a new one that I’m interested in, the price is hiked in a noticeable fashion.
The cost between the first Jacksonville card post-COVID and Miami are INSANE.
all sports are going from being for the regular folk to vip rich celebrities and executives. The average fan cant afford these things anymore
Mcgregor is still big for casual fans who rarely watch
I had cage side seats before and it was hard to see what was happening on the other side of the octagon. We watched most of the event on the jumbotron.
Its always better to watch at home. Ive been to numerous ufc events and its fun for the experience but watching from the tv is far better
Agreed@@thenedsmmachannel8970
This reminds me of going to UFC in houston for Lewis vs Gane, nosebleeds were $110 , and right before the main card me and a handful of people were given lower row seating because the tickets weren’t sold (they were bought by resellers but didn’t resell). The biggest issue is Ticketmaster or other venues buying all tickets in bulk and reselling them at a price wayyyy above face value. Glad I was able to go but holy shit $110 for nosebleeds is insane. If you go buy yourself, decent seating, a hot dog and beer will run you $300. Which average person can pay that? Mind you this doesn’t include parking/hotels if needed, or a million other potential factors
I live in a remote area where there’s basically zero local mma so regional shows aren’t an option. I’ve been a ufc fan for 20 year, never been to a live show and I’ve dreamt of going to international fight week for years. But these ticket prices are insane so I think I’d better adjust my dream to something more practical. A fight night in my country is probably the best I’ll manage.
Yes because I don't see a change in what the unranked fighters are being paid
Everything is getting more expensive...
Seriously. I can't go to live events of any kind. There's just no way to justify the expense. It's extra annoying to see front row seats empty at UFC (and lots of other events - it's really bad at tennis grand slam events) because corporate sponsors, friends of people in high places, prostitutes, etc., get free passes and choose to skip the event. Meanwhile, real fans dream of sitting there but will never have a chance.

This is the way.
This is why AFL in Australia is great. Costs me $147 bucks for myself, my dad and my two sisters to go see it live with great tickets. Genuinely feel grateful to watch live sports at such a low cost ❤️
2:08 My buddy does security work in Vegas. The UFC seats are NOT all sold out. Lots of free tickets are given to fill the seats to make it appear “bigger and badder.”
I don't think UFC people will be giving away Conor tickets
I can see them doing that for any other UFC PPV in Vegas but for Conor? No way in hell theyre giving those out for free
And then they have the nerve to say ANYTHING AT ALL about people illegally streaming the events.
I think the comparison to WWE is interesting. WWE has lifetime fans because it's so accessible between the weekly appearances on TV for free and relatively cheap tickets. I could see MMA becoming increasingly niche because of inaccessibility like with boxing. Don't get me wrong, boxing is still really popular, but it's not mainstream like it was in it's heyday
A few years ago I planned on going to Arizona to watch one of Condits last fights as he's one of my favorite fighters. Flight, hotel and a decent pair of tix would've been about $800 for 2 of us. Turns out I should've just went because I clearly can't afford to now.
Without a doubt😂😂😂 I was wanting to go to the Toronto card as that’s my area but never ended up going because the cheapest ticket I saw was around 900 in the nose bleeds
Thanks for the video
It's impossible to afford a subscription PLUS per view.. it's just insane what they change.
I'll never pay, I'll always use streaming sites with dubious (at best) legality.
Exactly. Dana can personally pay out for the lost revenue. That fucker can afford it (and to properly compensate his fighters, which he doesn't)
I got tieckets to a show just before the pandemic. $135 for decent seats. Looked at most events recently and the same spot is easily 2-3X higher or more.. Wild
The prices pre covid and post is ridiculously more expensive. I had floor seats for UFC 199 and i was row 5 and it was 500 bucks. Today? Those tickets are probably 2.5-3k
Lads, i absolutely love your channel and all your beautiful and educated conversations. It's a treat. We'll see how 303 goes, I'll speak to my Russian buddies to help me out watch it haha :D
I worked in the VIP suites first 3 UFC's in London. Which was great fun, but a very different crowd than the music. In combat sports you seem to get a wealthier crowd and better tips :)
Hey guys thank you. I love your channel!! You three are my favourite. The Hart .Alex and Luke I really like Tom too ✌️ Nathan Galios
Don’t even need to watch the video to say yes. Not even talking about going to shows. Watching every ppv and paying for ESPN+ is too much. Especially considering they’re making more than ever and not paying the fighters more
This just shows me that the UFC hasn't been able to hype up another fighter to replace him as a draw.
It's a damn shame; they are beating a dead horse so hard, it may come back to life 😬👍
Yes. F1 has the same problem. The American F1 events will run you easily 1k for the weekend. Meanwhile I can get really good Indy 500 tickets for less than $100.
Yes. Ufc came to Toronto in 18’ for Max v Ortega. Got 2 tix for 500. I checked for ufc 297 and it was about 1700. Safe to say we stayed at home.
Dana white is turning to 200iq the scalpers make the prices insane, the scalpers buy them at that price so the gate is insanely high but the scalpers take a massive loss on secondary
It really sucks that hobbies or things we enjoy are becoming expensive and just a reminder of how the cost of living is ridiculous
In 2015 I went to Cormier VS Gus we sat in nosebleeds for $60 each. In Feb 2020 right before covid we went to Jones VS Reyes and sat in lower level right above tunnel where fighters walked out and after fees it was $245 each for great seats. If prices don't come back to that I won't go again. Shame because live events are AWESOME.
them prices are crazy
I’ve been priced out of pay per views for years. If it’s not free on tv I don’t get to watch. Sucks cause I’m a huge mma fan have been since it was underground decades ago.
And this is why I’ll be going to ONES event in Denver… with the plane ticket and a hotel I’d still be saving money for a ringside ticket…
Crazy. The last fight I watched was at Mandalay Bay in vegas and I paid $140 and they were okay seats.
I remember I paid 1700 for lower level last year for two tickets to international fight week UFC 290 and I was planning a return this year but it’s not worth the 3000 for last row seating
We should get 2 channels. One for the videos and one for the podcast discussions
They have a second channel that they started, but they stopped using it a few months after they started.
UFC on Fox Cain vs JDS my tickets were 125 each plus fees and it was right before the floor level. Weidman vs Silva 1 was $200 a ticket for my buddy and I upper mid level. UFC Heavy Artillery was I believe $225 for mid level. Machida vs shogun 1 was $230 mid level. Jeez I miss those prices.
In 2016 I went to Boston to watch Dillashaw vs Cruz fight for the bantamweight belt. It was a stacked Fight Night card, I remember paying no more than $250 to sit on the floor risers which is just one level away from being cageside basically. Now because of inflation and greed you can’t even get a nosebleed ticket for that price at a fight night event, let alone a numbered PPV. Insanity.
If people are willing to pay to fill the arena then its not too expensive.
🤷♂️
I was lucky enough to be a guest at the UFC once and the tickets we got were thousands….and every ticket was sold and a lot to just normal people and they weren’t the most expensive seats. That was a UK card.
I don't spend a dollar and till watch the fights.
Tickets are getting insane. To put event prices into perspective. Past ticket and prices.

I went to UFC 129 in Toronto, GSP vs Shields, and paid $1000 per ticket for floor seats on secondary sale. And this is $1700 for the worst ones. Man that is crazy.
that is a very good point when mentioning wrestlemania. Why would we benchmark a success of an event from the total gate. as mentioned in the video wrestlemania sold out 80K seats but the gate is only 3 milion-ish. while other sports (whatever it is) can get a 20 mill gate with 15K-20K attendance, that not meant it is more success, it just meant the ticket is much more expensive. What will happens to plebs like me who cant afford either PPV streams or live event because it is to expensive. Things like this will push more people to illegal streams
UFC keep raising the prices for PPV and Tickets for live events. Yet, the bonuses and other compensation firmly set at the same amount year after year after year.
Started getting expensive when they switched to espn. Had to get an app just to be able to buy the fight and pay for the app each month even if you’re not buying that month’s ppv.
I’ve been saying this for years. Cost keeps me from every show in the last 6 years. Just to be in the building is like 400-500 every single event
Missed out on the 2nd ufc St Louis fight card because tickets were too high
Yeah i wanted to go to ufc 289 vancouver this last time and nosebleeds were $450...
Well ive never been in a position where i even thought going to see a event live was even a option so...
The absolutely unbelievable amount of greed from the top brass in anything now is why this world is so fucked
Front row seats are so expensive because they want to fill it with influencers and fighters to grow the sport even faster
They need to up the amount of promotions and put lower level fighters out in smaller cities in each state. Would grow the sport and give some smaller guys room to grow a local following in areas.
At least 450$ for nosebleed seats for UFC 302 in NJ smh
Went to UFC 220 @ TD Garden & sat in box seats at face value ($150).. UFC 292, back in Boston, the 300 section nose-bleeds were for going for $500... the issue is 3rd party resellers like Ticketmaster who jack up the price & add fees for no reason. $500 for nose bleeds where you're essentially watching the big screen is absolutely BS.
Latest WrestleMania did 36million dollar gate
I managed to get row B of upper tier for $650 (on AXS) , not cheap by any means but a lot more reasonable that $1000+
Imagine paying that kind of money on a seat at a fight that can end in seconds.
When old mate showers, the hair on the left side of his head runs to his knees.
I was at 205 had like seats in about middle of msg was like 1600 for that incredible night but def probably never again was to damn high the price
As exciting as it is for BKFC to get bigger and bigger, I'm going to miss the cheap seats. You can sit right up front in the box seats for $100 at a BKFC event. And they are very high quality events. The setup, the lighting, etc is very good.
Went to ufc 247 in Houston right before the pandemic and paid $160 total for nosebleed seats..
Went to UFC 262 in Houston, same seats were $350 total… never again
The first dudes argument makes no sense
You cant forget that its mostly sold out from the bots and theres almost always tickets available day of
I use to buy PPV when they were like $50 and even then I would second guess if it was a good value. I now only stream through other means because prices are just crazy. If PPV were $20 I’d buy most of them.
The UFC and the sport may be doing well, for revenue and attendance but there still holding a PPV in the UK in the middle of the night.
100%
They wanted $300-$400 minimum for UFC 297 in Toronto. Last event in Toronto prior I paid $62/ticket.
I figured it being a PPV it was going to be at worst doubled to $125.. maybe $160ish with inflation.. a price I was willing to pay but just seeing the price 5-6x what it should have been turned me off the event completely. To where week off I could've got tickets in the $100 range but I passed.
Also Groupon had 50$ off. My already half off seatgeek tickets.... Its not lame to save. Youll need it for the beer prices in there lol
That will ultimately be their downfall. Overpriced tickets and PPV cards. People will eventually stop paying
The quick answer to the title is “yes”. I went to UFC Vancouver in 2019 and 2023, the seats I paid $400 for in 2019 were almost $900 in 2023…
