- This story spans the legacy of head coach Dan Davidson and the rise of the program. Through trial and tribulation the Pioneers prevail. The cowards never started. The weak died on the way. Only the strong survived. They were the Pioneers!
I was a part of the 04 and 05 championship run teams. Travis Kurpjuweit, OT. Even under Coach Howell, the family aspect was always a part of it. The proving ourselves to all the schools around us. Beating the rich schools, beating the ranked teams and the former champions. We’ve always been counted out and we’ve always fought back. So so proud that the winning tradition is back, to see that CIF banner is something else. The 73-74 team couldn’t do it, we (04-05) couldn’t do it, good job getting it done boys!

I just gotta say, this doc really captured the heart of what Western Football is all about. It ain't about wins, losses, or championships, it's about how you can positively influence players to be the best versions of themselves and how to overcome obstacles. And it was so thrilling to see this doc explore that in an entertaining, emotional, and captivating way.

Being a part of the 92-93 Western Football teams, this brought back great memories of our 2 playoff runs. Family and resilience definitely describes the the WHS football culture. Great film! Thanks for sharing!🙌

Blah blah . Western for at least the last 5 years played in a league that was Division 12 or 13 the 2 lowest divisions in California Southern Section. Dont think they’ve won a Championship above Division 3 or 4
