Unfortunate that Vincent only does his tours Tues-Wed-Thurs, would love to enjoy his company. When my husband and I come to Paris near the end of April next year, the only free day we'll be able to do a food tour is Saturday before we begin a seven day barge tour the next day in the Champagne region with French Country Waterways. Would you have any other recommendations for a neighborhood food tour in the Montmartre or St Germain areas that operate on a Saturday? We love watching your videos and seeing how much you enjoy eating all those wonderful foods! Your entire series of videos are such a wealth of information to help us prepare for our first time visit to France. Already looking forward to doing your recommended Paris and Montmartre by Night Tour in a 2CV. Thanking you in advance for any further suggestions you may wish to share!
There are so many great places in Saint-Germain, I’m sure you could easily do an hour-long episode on the food there. That said, I hope there will a Part 2 to this video.
of course!!
The Maison Brémond is amazing, and the attendant is fluent in English.
yes, she was awesome!!
I just got back from my first trip to Paris - your videos were immensely helpful. I stayed in Hotel Bonaparte in St. Germain - wonderful area. L'Jacobine was one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Anyone visiting should really consider making reservations to anywhere they plan to go, it is very busy!
Antoine is a man after my heart! Do I have time to go to the Louvre?! Nope, I'm on the search for the best coconut macaron in Paris!
🤣 well said!!
Gotta have your priorities straight! Lol I don't need to see the sites, I need to taste the tastes!
let's do it! ready for the ride? @@yaowsers77
Always love a good food tour!
More to come!
Agree!
You are lovely people and you always accompany lovely people. It's a great pleasure to watch your videos.
Thank you so much!
*I'm glad you represent France and Paris so well!!! Merci Les Frenchies!* 🥰😘
You guys are so damn good at this. Love your channel. And love seeing more of Vincent. A food tour with him is definitely on the list!
Thank you very much, let me know if you have any special request, i'll do my best to make you happy in Paris. With love😋😋😋😋
I love your friends! They seem like such a sweet couple!! They are fun and funny.
Another great vlog! I just got back from 3 weeks in France (6 nights in Paris) and tried a number of your recommendations. We went into Richard Chocolates on a rare rainy afternoon and were completely cheered up. The staff member knew who you were … Les Frenchies! We bought macarons as a gift that was very much appreciated by friends who loved all of the flavours. Now I have to plan another trip to Paris ASAP to take in your latest suggestions 😂. Thanks very much ❤
I work in IT and we have a tradition : "he who left his session open, the croisant he will offer"
That means : if you leave the room with your session open, someone can take your seat to send a general email saying "I will bring croissants for everyone tomorrow".
yes, I waant to be a part of it!!! 😋
That's a good one!
Wonderful! Thank you very much!
All of these places I miss so much... thank you for bringing them back to my life.
I hope to visit Paris again soon one day… Right now, I am terrified about the bed bug infestation. 😳
forget that, we have a Chef preparing a new receipe o cook them!!!! 🤣🤣🤣 the medias talk all day long, but we don't see anyone, take it easy
@@vincentdupont315 then why has the Parisian government asked for help from the French government? Perhaps you have not experienced it, but I have family in Paris and they are saying the opposite of what you are saying. Perhaps make a video on precautions to take instead of saying it is doesn't exist. It wouldn't stop me from travelling to Paris, but at least people are made aware and can take precautions not to be inconvenienced nor bring them back home, regardless of the destination, because they do exist everywhere, not just Paris or France in general.
We were just there! Great tour suggestions. I have to go back just to do one of these tours! Thank you again!
Fabulous!
Love your show and love France. We were recently in Poland and stepped into a McDonalds out of curiosity. We don’t eat there in the US. We were shocked to see fancy coffees, croissants, and macarons. Croissants were on the kids menu.
I was in France last year for a month and I want to go back already. Whenever I want to feel like I'm there, I watch your videos so Merci! The news about France reported here today though is strangely all about the bed bugs situation. Hope it isn't as bad as the media makes it sound!
No problem with bed bugs, is a media exageration.
From Nice
the beg bug story is all hype, it's really not an issue at all
Never a Dull Video.. les frenchies rock!
They should just call it a happiness tour because everyone looks very happy
You're right! Thank you

I enjoy your videos, very much, and often believe you would do amazing tours around Paris and the villages outside the city that you are familiar with. Considering Vincent’s professional background and his love of good food, good wine and aperitif? He would be the icing on the cake to truly experience Paris at its best!

Je mange des croissants régulièrement et la crème de pistaches sur une tartine grillée occasionnellement. Another excellent video 😊
What a nice overview of all the wonderful quick foods to try in Paris. Croissants, unusual pb/pistachio spreads, cheese, charcuterie, wine, chocolat, macaron...hits them all. Merci!

I know Paris well, but your videos are a goldmine of new information about non-touristy places, I'll need to write everything down for my next visit Spring 2024 !
if we can help you, just let us know.😋
Hello *Les Frenchies,*
Happy to see u again.
No, the term "viennoiserie" doesn't come from Viennese bakers who came to settle in Paris (even if there's a connection, read more).
The French cook of Marie-Antoinette (who herself was an Austrian) gave them this name.
It seems to me that's J.C Doyen, squire of the queen at Trianon, cousin of the painter Gabriel-François Doyen and lover of Elisabeth Vigée Lebrun and who was Marie-Antoinette's chef for more than ten years.
The queen was nostalgic for her country. To please her, his cook was inspired by the Austrian bakery rolls, which had the shape of a croissant and were sold by two Austrian bakers (Ernest Schwartzer and August Zand) recently established in Paris. However, both bakers offered simple bread, not as good quality as French bread, which was shaped like a croissant which, in addition, had a rounded and full shape at each end (a "C" shape), and not cut into a point like the French croissant. And that's all.
The Parisian croissant recipe (puff pastry containing a layer of dough, a layer of butter, a layer of dough, etc., and rolled up) was created by this cook.
We then named "viennoiserie" to this recipe's derivatives (croissant, pain au chocolat, chausson fourré, etc.).
Contrary to what their name may suggest, the "viennoiseries" are, therefore, totally French and even Parisian.
Peace, folks. ☮😉
The fact is, that historians are not realy agree each other.... many answers about that. But what you write is a part of true and it's acceptable. Thank you
@@vincentdupont315 The truth is, "croissant viennois" is just bread, nothing else, lol.
Like the "crème anglaise" isn't English, the "viennoiseries" aren't Viennese. 😊😉
Love watching your videos. We returned from Paris last week and enjoyed many of your restaurant recommendations. I only wish we were there to do Vincent’s walking tours. I would have done all 3.
for next time, I'll be there 😉

Seeing your video now after we just got back an hour ago in St. Germaine on the same little street you highlighted! Beautiful and romantic at night. Great, fun area. We ate at St. Germaine last night on your recommendation and we let them know it was because of you, as did another couple who was dining there. We told the restaurant they should give you a percentage!!! Thanks for all the help-- you have, well-- really helped us to plan and enjoy our vacation. Tonight we ate at the oldest restaurant in Paris (Le Procope). Beautiful table and excellent service. Great history.
Wonderful!
LOVE❤

Heavenly food and my boss has grabbed an assistant in Paris to go buy and ship to London. Love these food tours as do my bosses.
Smart, lucky boss!
I really like your videos. I think a lot of french people said that to you but this is a very good entertainement to see how foreigners discovers or give some advices about our country food, alcool etc..
If you have the possibility to try : Corsica cold cuts. And specialy the Lonzu, Figatelli and Fitone. They are very special and for me the best cold cuts I tried.

In the gallery you visited in Saint-Germain-Des-Prés stands the Café Procope, said to be the very first café in Paris , founded by a Sicilian in the years around 1750 .
yes you're absolutly right
Guys: that was a nice tour, Vincent's program! The pistachio butter was very interesting! Also, for your information, every morning, I drink a tablespoon of EVOO with a 1/4 teaspoon of ground organic ginger! On to Monmontre!

I’m scared of funky cheeses, Colleen but you have given me confidence that I might enjoy some in France!
In Madison Thevenin at 7:14 bottom left corner of the shot there’s a fluffy yellow wedge of something that looks yummy! The label is just out of the shot. Can you identify that for me? Thank you!

Hello, I'm Vincent, it's a Tropezienne, a south of France specialty, from de city St-Tropez, very famous on the French Riviera.. yummi yummi 😋
To add what he said, it’s a brioche with crumble. It is split, punched with syrup flavored with orange flower water. It’s filled with creme madame (pastry cream, gelatin and whipped cream).

A former colleague of mine, who spent close to 20 years working in the former Soviet Union, used to do vodka shots of olive oil before he went to socialize with his Russian, Belarussian, and Central Asian counterparts. He found it would coat his insides, making the vodka he was forced to drink to be 'social' less potent and damaging!
smart 😁
It would have been nice to know the prices of each item.
Bonjour Antoine and Colleen and Vincent
To think we opted to go to Versailles rather than St Germaine. We just have to come back😊
absolutly!!! Thank you very much
Interestingly enough, as famous as Danish pastry is itself, the danish word for pastries is akin to "viennoiserie" -- it's "wienerbrød" -- literally "Vienna bread".
Similar origin story.
Hello! We will arrive on 15 October in Paris. Please, give us an advice about bid bugs. Do you know are dengerous or do you think it's good to cancel our trip? Wirh regards:Cristina and Hamid! Thank you!
Need bugs are NOT a problem...
How’s the bed bug situations there?
no issue, it's all hype. Honestly
Legitimate question :Why is the Parisian government asking the French government to intervene then? I saw this on French television and newspapers.
What is the music at the 30 second mark?
Hi..about bedbugs news,is it safe this time there? I'm heading to Paris on the 16th, I see some media and a little bit afraid but I really want to be there..do I have to buy spray or what to protect our body from bedbugs?
it was all blown out of proportion. There's no bed bug invasion to speak of. We did a survey on our Facebook group and 99.9% of respondents (757 of them) said that they they didn't see any bed bugs
@@LesFrenchiesTravel Honestly I don't have a lot of worry about bedbugs but last night I watched the news and there is a high alert bcs of a bomb threat in Louvre and Versailles and make me afraid and cancelled the flight. I hope Paris will be safe and I can reschedule the flight. I want to visit Paris!
comme disait Karen😊😊😊😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
I’m jealous
Buy a flight, it's gonna be your turn! 😉
Hi, seeing in the news and social media that there’s a bad bedbug infestation. Pl share your views and is it safe to visit
We did a survey of recent visitors in our Facebook Group. Les than 1% were effected. It's hype.
Don’t know when I’ll be back in Paris again after an epic European vacation, but I am hesitant on eating so called “French style or influenced” pastries and desserts back in the US…it’s not the same 😢.
come back, that's the only answer, Welcome
Is it possible to get gluten-free options?
yes, but it's not that easy everywhere. In fact, the quality in France , and the desagrement about wheat between USA ² France are diffent. I know some Americans can't eat bread in the US, and had nno problem here downtown Paris, So....
@@vincentdupont315 That’s what I’ve heard. Europe doesn’t allow all of the preservatives, additives, etc. in their food like the US does. Lucky them!
Richart has great chocolate but the macaroons are a let down ... Best macaroons are from Christopher roussel
OOT... what camera do you guys use for video making? Sorry to ask this 😊
Yeah i was supposed to comment on that too... right from the start i have been a follower... and never did i see your videos so clear... till now....
Colleen and Vincent, I registered for Antoine's Food Tour this coming Tuesday at 11 am. It is now Saturday Oct 7th at 9:16 pm, unfortunately I will need to cancel my reservation, but your system is telling me I will not get a refund as it is less than 48 hours. However it is clearly more than 48 hours notice. There looks to be no way other thank this to message Antoine other than CZcams. Can you help me out? So sorry to have to cancel.
We refund you this morning, the money will be back on your account in 5/10 next days. 😊
Have you been affected by the bed bug infestation over there? Or is it all media hype. Cause I just canceled my trip for February.
it's all media hype, I accross Paris downton every single day, i didn't see anyone, just on TV.... so sad! Vince

You'll find a long list of people with current experiences here in Paris hotels that will also tell you it's BS. There is no rain to cancel anything.
