This has now officially become a "rebuilding year + Curry" for the Warriors whether anyone wants to admit that or not. There will be no championship for the final 2-3 years of Curry's career and any dedication towards winning it all this year or next is just a waste of valuable time and lost opportunities. First, Dubs Nation has got to cure itself of it's long "CurryLove" addiction and start thinking about a future without him. Second, Dray, Klay and Wiggs have to go before this deadline in order to bring max value in return. If the front office waits until the end of this season, those three won't bring any real value. Third, the Dubs have to start thinking about a coaching change in the offseason. Kerr has a "Back to the Future" coaching mentality and the present change in personnel and skill don't fit his old system and he seems unwilling or unable to adapt. And if Klay, Dray and Wiggs are gone, this is no longer his team. New skills require new systems and in a league of fluidity where new teams emerge as contenders every year, sitting on past success just doesn't get it done anymore. Suddenly, Kerr seems out of his depth and, as they say, a fish dies from the head down, and this team is starting to smell like last week's fish. Sacrifices have to be made to move forward...starting NOW!
Could trade Moody, Kuminga, Wigg, and CP3, and give it a final go, or two?
A complete rebuild towards the future should have been done last summer with, or without the Poole trade.
3rd Option. Just ride it out like Kobe's Lakers, and get 3 lifers Jerseys in the rafters, build some legacy

Curry is just as much of the reason the team is falling apart. He is 35. He is the Damian Lilliard of the Blazers in carrying the offense. The ironic thing is Portland stopped his three point basket streak. Time to trade Curry to an actual contender and start over.

Kuminga has the potential to become a star at the 4. My biggest gripe with him is his footwork - letting opposing attacks penetrate all too easily. As we can see, the GSW allows a huge percentage of FG and that is part of the problem.
Wiggins leave last season made the team adjust their play without him and he has difficulties coming to grips with this altered system. He thrives at the POA when he has a defensive-minded 4 shoring him up. He is far from as bad as he seems.
Trade-wise, seeing as Kuminga is openly unhappy at the situation and the Toronto has some interest in him, I'ld inquire about a trade there. Either Siakam, to get a seasoned power forward that I feel more secure with disrupting the opposing teams offense down the stretch, although his talk about going as a free agent is a downside to that....OR trade for Poeltl and switch TJD to the 4 and see what happens (?) Both trades would include Kuminga. The Siakam trade would include CP3 aswell for salary but I am not knowledgeable enough in that area to propose a fair deal. The Poeltl trade would include Looney (same thing here, I don't know how the balance would work in a trade)
Of course there is a small chance that Siakam AND Poeltl are included in a big trade. There are a lot of IFs right now, so to cover all possibilities is a daunting task. Other targets at the 5 would be Jarrett Allen and Clint Capela.
edit: Although the man management from Kerr should be a fireable offence at this level. He should have split the number of minutes at the 2 at the start of the season evenly with Klay and Moody - perhaps even favouring Moody. He has lost control of the team and we could be witnessing a crash of epic proportions in the making.
I think the reason Kerr doesn’t play Kuminga in the fourth is he is a bad three point shooter and free throw shooter. So he doesn’t provide spacing out there. He shoots better overall than Wiggins and plays better overall than Wiggins.
But Kuminga is inconsistent also.

It already ended 2 years ago when they renewed jordan poole. That was the beginning of the end.
The only change needed is the coach. The whole coaching staff as well. Keep the roster.
Steve Kerr thought it was still 2014 even though we are now in the 2024 season....
Whatever the stats are, Kuminga is currently a slight defensive liability atm. He makes silly fouls at pivotal moments. That said, he’s a good scorer.
Meanwhile, a much more defensively sound player who brings consistent 3 pointers has to be Moody. Fans who watch in person know what I mean. Rather than invest so much in Joseph, idk why Kerr doesn’t develop Moody with consistent minutes.
Some lineups that work without Paul and GP2 are Steph+Draymond+Klay, Pods+Kuminga+Saric, and Steph+Saric/Looney+Moody
when Wiggs went to the brench, it was Podz who replaced him in the starting lineup, not JK

I, and I think I'm not the only one, would actually respect Steph EVEN MORE if he decided to go all-in for the next years of his prime, and told Warriors' organisation to put him in the best position to get more rings in the next few years, no matter what the collateral damage would be.

You really have to fault Draymond Green for a lot of the Warriors problems, hitting a team player and violent on the basketball court has cost the Warriors to have a poor basketball season. The Warriors also don't have a real go to person like a 7 foot tall Center that can score inside the paint. During the summer break the Warriors should have tried to sign Kai Sotto from the Philippines or Jaycee Johnson from the G League both of these two players are 7 foot tall. The Warriors need size and stop trying to beat teams playing Small Ball basketball only. Draymond Green has destroyed the Warriors with the his negative attitude towards his own team members and on the way court negative violent attitude, sorry to say it but Draymond Green might have to be traded and not Klay Thompson or any of the Warriors young players, the Warriors need to keep them............. There are only 2 untouchables on the Dubs right now: Steph and Kuminga and for entirely different roles and reasons. Podz, Trace and Saric are almost untouchable. The rest are moveable pieces if the right deals for the future can be made now. The Dubs we knew are now a dead team walking. Time to find a new formula, a new system and new top talent to fit in to it. Can Kerr adapt and do the job in the coming years? That is the biggest question of all, because it all starts with the front office and the coach. If CP3 has a coaching jones, that should be investigated right now, just in case this is his last year as a player and Kerr's last year as the Warriors' coach. I'm all good with Curry and everything, but he's wrong here. Kuminga's camp already teased that he wasn't happy with the minutes at the end of last season--they didn't fix it because he's still struggling to get on the court despite there being a bunch of injuries and he satisfies a positional need. He came back and did his part over the off season to fix as many of his defects as possible. However, Kerr keeps coming up with excuses not to play him.
Remember last year the problem was that "we can't put Kuminga and Draymond on the floor at the same time because of the spacing". He went and came back with a serviceable 3pt shot. His numbers are down, but I'd attribute at least 5% points to the lack of consistency in minutes--it's hard to get a rhythm when your minutes are so variable.
Now, look, this year, the issue is that Kerr can't find a way to play two athletic wings at the same time... them resign, because if you can't win with that, you're not the guy for the job...
The reality is that Wiggins/Kuminga minutes have a bad plus minus because the lineups they're playing are bad, and Wiggins overall has been bad. If you have to play Wiggins anyway, don't act like his minutes are worse because of Kuminga and him lacking a fit. Move Wiggins and kuminga to the 2/3 and put a good rim protector behind them, then watch how the +/- looks... smh.
Kerr literally puts Wiggins at the 4, Kuminga at the 3, with Dario Saric protecting the rim and CP3 or Klay out there and wonders to himself, "Why can't we get defensive stops"... head ass.
It turns out Jordan Poole wasn't the problem. He was made the scapegoat! The problem is age, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. Green should never have been given a 4 year contract with his game on the decline and his behavior hurting the team two years in a row.

I like how one day there are 25 videos about “The Warriors have finally solved the problem” or “Podz is the savior of the Warriors” and they lose 3 out of 4 and suddenly my all the videos are “2 trades to fix the Warriors” or “They’re toast.” I love watching the franchise burn down around Kerr’s and Steph’s tiny little feet.
It's time to trade Wiggins and some of our young depth (Moody, TJD, Podz should all be on the table) to commit to Kuminga and get a star calibur Frontcourt/Big. Starting lineup should be Steph, Klay, Kuminga, Dray, Siakam/Vucevic/Markkanen. Kuminga absolutely deserves 30+ minutes and is already good enough to help tremendously in a playoff run. Kerr is blind not seeing his potential.
Why would want to trade our Young player ? Some of our young player is playing better than our veteran. You want to keep curry, dray and Klay together for ever? Clearly it isn’t working out. They need to trade Dray and wiggings plus other BUT TJD & PODZ SHOULD BE OFF THE TABLE.
