I cycled 572KM ACROSS an ENTIRE COUNTRY in ONE DAY! - Crazy Cross Country Challenge 2020

- Would this be my biggest challenge yet? I'm pushing myself to another limit by riding 572km non stop within 24 hours!
I needed a new challenge and I found one! I started at the most Southern point of The Netherlands on the morning of September 12th. From there on I would ride to the most Northern point of The Netherlands, but by passing all 12 provinces along the way! This made the entire route almost 600km across the entire country and I had to do it in one day! That's a Crazy Cross Country Challenge!!

The Netherlands - the heaven for cyclist. The only place when you can ride thru whole country on bike lanes :) I was only 3 days in Amsterdam on 2019 but it was amazing experience for cyclist. I hope someday there will be same place for bikes in my hometown Krakow.

i was in Warsaw on 2019, and I think exactly same as you, it was an amazing experience for me, not Amsterdam but Warsaw of course. I wish we had the oppurtunities you have there (bike lanes, respect for cyclists, rental system etc) in my hometown, Ankara :)

Bloody hell, my longest ride ever is 167 km. But that was hilly. Gonna do 200 km next year. Epic ride Jasper. What I'm most impressed about is that you kept your spirit high for so long. Next challenge: how to do an everesting in flat Netherland :D

Hey Jasper, that’s brilliant, well done. I’m new to cycling, did a 100 mile ride last year, took me 9 hours, my rear end was in bits, I cannot imagine what near 18 hours would be like. Your ride looked amazing, luckily flat. I live in Wales 🏴 so very hilly here. Your speed across the ride was crazy. I find it fantastic that you didn’t moan, just stayed positive throughout. You are true motivation and inspiration. Well done you. Anyway, that’s done, what’s next 😂😂 got to keep these vids coming.

Thats amazing, it would be an absolute amazing opportunity to ask you questions about your experience. I am waiting on Doctors clearance to plan my trip to Ontario, just under 2000 km with some step hills. My Goal is to prove I can more then anything.
5 years ago i had a painful neck injury, ended up needing c5-c6 fusion, now 2 years after surgery im looking to get my life back.

When I did my 320km this summer I noticed that my heart rate dropped after about 200km, I was putting down more power and I was feeling better every minute. Your body gets accustomed to putting out that power, and at the same time doing it as efficiently as possible I reckon. Great sensation.
Eventually fatigue will play in and doest allow you to raise HR ,🤙

@@jasperverkuijl From the same start-point, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, France is less than 300km, after which you could push on to Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria. But that would be more like 672km, and 4500m of climbing, too.
