I've been through a FBO build with my WRX. If I did it over again I'd do the killer B headers with external wastegates first. Makes it sound gnarly

My 2021 wrx is being shipped from Oregon at the end of this month and I cannot wait man. The dealer told us that the shipment is the final 2021 wrx’s that will be brand new before they swap over to the 2022’s. Seeing your vids are really inspiring my build!

Also if you haven't seen it but getting a bilitworkz brass shifter bushing with a shift stop it will help stop the play that these wrxs have in first and second gear. If you wanna go far and beyond it was a pain in the butt to install but I found it so worth it to get the entire bilitworkz short shifter kit but if the install seems to much shift stop and brass bushing will help so much

I have a 2013 WRX with just a Cobb catback and that happens to me all the time, especially in nicer neighborhoods. I'm always going under the speed limit in residentials, but these people equate loud car = fast (and just a cat back isn't even that loud)

I had the same loss of power issue after installing the bov. Yes it is the blow off valve. That is also the reason why the car backfired more. It means it’s running too rich now.

@@chris_borges Well, i bought the car about 4 months ago, it was a stage 2 15’ wrx with 60k miles. I unfortunately got ringland failure 2500 miles later and as 18 years old i was scared because i just took out a huge loan, 18,500 for the car and i can’t rebuild the engine and subaru quoted me 10k for a long block. So unfortunately i had to trade it in for another car at another dealership. I now have a fiesta st and i like it a lot but it’s nothing like the wrx. I stay w the channel to get a glimpse of what could have been! Love the channel man and i wish the best of luck to your build!

It’s prolly popping because you’re running a BOV which Is venting “no matter even if it’s closed” to air. It’s running rich once you let off boost

honestly man the hks just sounds like the boomba and I would personally trust the boomba more because its an actual bpv rather than a bov modified to be a bpv and also how were you able to purchase a tune from phat botti cause their website is still saying he is moving

@@chris_borges Like you mentioned the wrx depends on the recirculating system which is what bypass valve is it recirculates it back into the intake the hks was originally designed to blow off to atmosphere but honestly I could be talking nonsense but for the price I would just stick with the boom a bpv for safety it’s more tried and true

i love the sound of compressor surge! but there’s so many differing opinions online on whether or not its bad for the longevity of the turbo
The wheel and bearings wear out and damage the turbo completely. This could happen just on normal everyday driving, so its not uncommon. But trying to create the surge on boost will increase the chances you will damage it.
@@axeya366 No it wont the turbo spins at 250K rpm and produces loads of pressure, air without force pushing it has no pressure therefore its not putting strain on the turbo when leaving through the fan
