Avery Bradley - Lockdown

- Avery Bradley. is a monster defender, a relentless ball hound. The compilations on CZcams weren't good enough for me so I decided to make one myself.
The reel obviously highlights his ball pressure, though not all of them end with steals or blocks, every play you see is a phenomenal basketball play.

I don't know about anybody else but too me its more satisfying too lockdown your opponent then to score on them
Richard Forbes It's WAY more satisfying.
💯
Jordan would lock you down them give you 50
yerrp!! and it helps if u can lock the down and force some stops, and then score on them. I love 2way players
yep
Avery Bradley and Kawhi Leonard are 2 of my favorite players to watch because of how dominant they are defensively. Lock-down D is great to watch in a league full of shooters.
Brandon Van agreed
Also Marcus smart
Carlos F Vilchez no nigga
@@CarlosfVilcheznot the same level. he got the DPOY, but what for? I can remember thinking "Jrue is far better wth?"
This dude makes defense fun to watch
Thank you for not putting music to this. Avery Bradley is awesome to watch.
Smh at the people who think this man's defense is overrated
Wide Neck shit I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say that. If I do it will prob be from
Skip Bayless
Hugh Mungus facts
@@Darkskinjus his style of defense is a pretty risky one. Instead of containing his man he tend to chase after the ball instead, if it fails, he could get blown by easily. The example of a better elite perimeter defender is Jrue Holiday, while he does the ball pressure, he also makes sure not to let the opponent to get a step on him, it's only possible due to his quick feet, long arms and his strength. He doesn't gamble after the ball if he doesn't need to, he does so by being opportunistic, jumping on passing lane, the timing of rebounds or catching passes or to strip the ball when the opponent being careless around him. He is also very good at navigating screens
Welcome to Lakers Avery Bradley
I thought Teague was exaggerating. This man the real deal.
You didn’t watch basketball if you didn’t know about his defense
@@brandonwilkins6816 you’re right! I just started watchin basketball like 3 years ago and i normally just watch the highlights so im pretty new to a lot of sh*t
@@edwardv4546 I feel you, atleast you kept it real 💯
That’s what brought me here!
This nigga's a predator out there. Beautiful defense to watch
true
Gotta love rondo for rewarding Bradley with the bucket at 1:30
Rondo just tryna get an assist
First team all DEFENSE.
Yessirr
he didn't deserve any team defense. crowder & smart, > Bradley
+Wolve bye
+Wolve 😞
+Wolve boy if you don't...

Looking good to me.
Me
I hope they start him & Green in the backcourt. They could be just what the team needs
Fellow Laker fan doing some scouting! 👍🏾
He not bringing in any of this though lmao
Harden's expression at 1:43...
"You mean I didn't get the call!?"
💜💛💜💛💜💛
Welcome to the Lakers Bradley! Much needed defense. Give us iggy memphis and we'll be good! 💪
Anyone here after Lakers signed him?
NBA just released a defensive highlight reel for Avery Bradley and without a doubt this is still waaaay better.
Defense is so overlooked now a days
Yeah somehow... I miss these days, though they're not so long ago. But today, half of that super nice defensive plays would be called a defensive foul. Don't know why.
i love these videos, defense is underrated
man I love this guy
Welcome to Lakers
king defence. seize as bulldog
Evin you got one of the best basketball channels in CZcams.
Hell yea a full year of Rondo, him, and Marcus Smart should be elite Defense. Guards from all around the peague be trembling right now! Go Celtics!
kdanh712™ good call man
Love his guts and relentlessness on D.
Players like this are so underrated. Avery Bradley and Tony Allen are two of the most valuable players in the league in my opinion.
2:24 fucking savage
Took his cookies and then said "nigga what"
Jav Tiss "gimme that shit" lol he took it like blake wasnt suppose to hav it in the 1st place
+Sneak Ez Just took the ball out of Blake's hands like he was a baby.
I love this video.
Avery Bradley is a one man wrecking crew. The guy plays offense on defense. just inspirational to watch.
One of the best on-ball defenders in the league. I'm a huge Celtic fan, you're gonna love his hustle L.A.
That strip steal then state down on Blake was straight disrespectful hahahaha
Welcome to lakers 👌
Imagine getting broke and then making up for it 2:00 😂
His career got saved by that screen lmao
You slip on a drop of sweat, heaving no grip accelerating. That's not an ankle breaker at all. Probably your opponent slipping is the only time you got by your defender. Laaaaame
Did I just see a 3 point layup? 0:33
Hans Sayno nah I think it cut til after free throw I guesse if not then he's so dam good refs just have to give it to him
Avery Bradley is my friends uncle, and this nigga chill af. One of the best defenders in the league and is a great player all around.
The one on deon waiters was a classic! You could hear deon yelling hey hey hey! Lol like he was saying hey stop. Him he got the damn ball! 😂
Nba need more of this
Anyone here after laker signing
my favorite player in nba today. .he deserve to be in USA team , he could be the nightmare in every opponent .this player play defense and talent and heart as will.
Welcome to the lakers
He makes defense enjoyable to watch
Anyone else notice that they gave him 3 points on that steal against the Raptors near the start of the video?
Welcome to the real LA team, my man! His nickname should be, "Kleptomaniac" lol lol!
Who are here after he joined Lakers
This is what happens when you max out pickpocketing
BEST
4:59 has to be one of the best blocks of the decade
him and smart will be scary let's go c's !
The best Defense
...and he's a Laker now. #LakeShow
When lakers acquired avery, youtube suddenly pop this on my recommend vids
2:22 WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
most underrated player in the nba
💛💜
HANG TIGHT, DON’T BLINK 🤣 YOU ARE ABOUT TO SEE WHAT A LOCKDOWN SERIOUSLY IS 👍🏻
6:29 That’s a great block!
Dang, he just took the ball at 2:04
Defense is the greatest offense of all time!!!!
Lakers?
AB + marcus smart = best defensive duo in the league?
definitely best defensive backcourt
+what "kawaii" lmao. i guess his cornrows are pretty anime-worthy lol
💯
Yes & no one is even close. They're on another level defensively.
conley and toney allen are close
First team all EFFORT
The Pistons need this Kind of defensive effort/energy hopefully it will become contagious team wide
we were 2nd or 3rd best defensive in the league before reggie came back lol.
In 2:00 got crossed still recover amazing
Please make a new one for Avery Bradley
4:57 how u recover from a pump fake to get the block anyway?
2:14 and that's why you were fired Varejao
I did not know this dude was such a great defender.
I feel like him and Westbrook would make a great defensive back court.
Sure but at the time this was posted Smart wasn't doing much. Besides sure they're doing okay but it would still be better if he worked with Westbrook.
Who else was screaming when his head nearly passed the rim? The blocks from this guy what the living fuck ! And now the Lakers have him??
Tenacious
Not even my favorite player Kyrie Irving can dribble in front of the great Avery Bradley!
The way he just takes the ball from Blake 😂
Damn
First team boi
jr smiths body language is jus "wtf jus happened" @ 2:02
It's more scary to face a guy who takes the ball from you every time than someone who can score a lot.
I didn't watch the celtics often this year but was Avery Bradley doing most of this throughout the 2014-15 season?
+MaxsDinner For sure. Wasn't picking up his defender up full court and quite as much as he was back in the day because of the additions of Brad Stevens and Marcus Smart, but he's still a great on ball defender
:35 when he scored they counted it as a 3 😂
Jr highkey broke his ankles
Impressive video!...feisty defender, surprisingly never made the all defensive team.
How did he not make any of the all defensive teams this year?smh
Nate Dogg only cuz of injury
It might be just me but the Celtics home stadium has to be one of the best home arenas in the NBA. Look at the reaction from the block and the three pointer at 6:05
idk how Jameer Nelson dodged ending up on shaqtin with that. boy's out there with his brain on Otto Pilot haha
Bradley bledsoe allen backcourt would be killer
Still cant believe he didn't make the All Defense team...
Anyone notice on the layup at 0:33 they awarded him 3 points? LOL
The last play of this video, his block on Dwayne Wade, was what put his name out there
nahh nigga his defense was what put his name out there tf
+Bryce Muller nah that put him on the map
Is it 1 for wade?
LOCKDOWN
welcome to Detroit
Robert Davis And hes out
reminds me raja bell.
2:27 lmaoooo
AB grillinnnnn griffin 😂
what if tony allen is in the Lakers now 2019 thats dope Bradley green and Tony Allen
0:30 it goes from 7 to 10 with a layup
1:50 Harden flopping and fouling now that’s a first
AB is fucking legit, I was hoping the cavs would trade Iman Shumpert for him during the 2017 season
This boy Avery Bradley is the best defender in the NBA hands down. Sorry Kawhi. If Boston trades him they will regret it for sure.
+Definitive1 based on what? i felt really bad when bradley was hurt, cause I was worried, he'd never regain his form and I love bradley...but defense has so many aspect that contribute to the overall defense a player provide for the team..big men, based on their position have the biggest impact, while 1 or 2 impact in defense isn't that significant
Kawhi-led spurs is 1st on defense and the 2nd team isn't even close..Kawhi literaly rejuvenated the spurs defense as their core starting to get old and lost their identity as defensive beast team
Kawhi, while probably not having the best stats, i think he's the best rebounder at his position, to rebound the ball is to actually stop the opponent offense
Kawhi produce more steals hence the turnover for opponents, more blocks that potentially end the opponents' possession
Kawhi is the best in the league for defending without committing a foul(a foul that could potentially send his team to penalty and give the opponent a FT)
love love love bradley, but to label him "best", you must add better context to it..."best perimeter defender" and i have absolutely no problem with that...in bradley 2nd season, i saw him literally dominate the whole spurs team, the celtics lost that game, but I'll never forget it
If they ever brought back hand checking
2:00 yoink. lmao
Does Bradley usually end up in foul trouble with this tenacious D?
OutThe Mud that's what I was thinking if I did this in a game they'd probably call me for a reach- in foul
Nope. When you have a reputation as a great defender, refs tend to let you get away with more shit. Look at Beverly and Draymond Green. They both get away with a lot of holding and grabbing. Bev be taking out defenders knees and ref don’t say shit.
2:29 commentator " And Harden's not the world's greatest defensive player" haha. The commentator was too lenient with that comment.
