This just makes me miss Freddie. No one should wear that jacket but him. Without his energy the world is just not the same.
the jacket is absolutely gorgeous and the crown too, but the transcript of one of the most iconic songs ever written is just 🤯
When he wrote these songs, he probably never thought about these sums, which are now on the level of the great classics.

I went down to NYC to see the exhibit. It was an honor to be in the same room with some of Freddie's possessions. I so wish there was more there--but I'll take whatever I can get. I still love you and will forever💕THANK YOU for inspiring me to be more of who I am.
I felt the same way. I kept thinking this and this passed through his hands! He wore this and this and his DNA still is there. It's the closest I'll ever come to seeing these things or him.
There’s something so deep and so sacred about Freddie’s belongings.
I have been a Queen fan long enough to remember a time (at least for me) when it wasn’t popular to be a fan of this band and now here we are over 3 decades later and one of the networks is showing Fred’s stuff off and man i wish his telecaster from the last tour was on sale….

I saw these items at Sotheby's last Friday along with about 25 other items belonging to Freddie at Sotheby's. The exhibit was amazing! Everyone who loves Freddie should go! You won't be sorry! Thursday is the last day! And yes, the jacket is vey small!

He was also the glue!
Freddie Mercury was much more than a rock star - he was a genius.
His music is the music of beauty and freedom, eternal!
He was an intelligent, educated and versatile person
Kind, generous.
His love of art is unparalleled, - his taste is excellent
His wonderful voice and fantastic piano playing are unforgettable and irreplaceable.
Why weren't these things put in a museum????
Mary Austin knew best what Freddie wanted and she carried out his wishes with love and respect.
I wish her the best of health and happiness for the rest of her days.

Does Sotheby's disclose the amount that an item actually sells for at auction? Or is it considered confidential? There are about 1500 of Freddie Mercury's possessions included in the 4 auctions. The 15 pages of "Bohemian Rhapsody" manuscript is the cream of the crop, in my opinion. But it also includes jewelry, costumes, and various pieces of highly valued artwork.

I hate seeing his belongings sold this way. I wish his home, Garden Lodge, had been turned into a museum with his belongings on display. With his belongings being sold off there will never be a chance for a true Freddie Mercury museum along the lines of Graceland and it the opens the door to future counterfeits of these items.
Yes I understand my friend but Freddie himself didn't want that. He had no interest in a museum to himself. I believe it was mentioned to him b 3:14 efore he died but he said no. I want life in my house especially children, not a ****** mausoleum"

Iam happy they respect his items not to touch them .The show from England that premiered them items did .They put the crown on and touched everything .The silver mustache comb actually was dropped .Very disrespectful! Thankyou for respecting his items .We all miss Freddy so much .His death still has devastation on the world .

I agree that it is very sad. I wish at least anything pertaining to music, like the lyrics, his jacket, etc...be given back to the rest of the band members or museum. These are the things should be held by the band members. I'm so surprised that they didn't get any of these.

This is so wrong istg. His stuff shouldn't be sold, he directly said that he wasn't giving ANY of his stuff away after his death. Mary could've at least put it into a museum instead of selling it all. This is so sad and disrespectful, i don't care what anybody else says about it.
