I've been trying to setup 2 x AP-587 in this mesh mode however when I finalise the configuration on the point AP (6:11) and disconnect it from the local LAN and connect it at the remote switch, the mesh link doesn't form. The IP address of the Point AP doesn't retain the static IP I specified in Central and when I do a show ip interface brief it comes up with a 169 IP address.
When I go into apboot and do a printenv, it shows the specified IP address settings, but for some reason it's not showing on e0.
Does the remote switch side need to have VLAN 1 as it's native untagged set? I thought it might be able to still form the mesh link with or without a remote switch connection.
What is the name of the PoE+ device that supplied power to the AP?
How did you manage to continue using WinFi? The app has not worked in America for 1 year. Could you share how you did it?
Such a shame Aruba ditched the 60Ghz AP. 2.4Ghz is not going to be reliable if you install anywhere near other wi-fi.
