PURPLE RAIN CELEBRATES 40th ANNIVERSARY!

THIS WEEK IN ROCK HISTORY: We focus on the 40th anniversary of the release of Prince's PURPLE RAIN soundtrack and film!
Released on June 25th 1984, "Purple Rain" saw Prince and his band The Revolution take a major leap forward musically and creatively, as well as in popularity, with the album eventually selling over 25 million copies and the film garnering over $70 Million dollars, as well as many awards and nominations.
