    These are some of, if not the best "Downswing" thoughts ever shared on CZcams. Thank you so much for sharing.

    I found this lesson very good. The three feels for correctly shallowing make sense. The elbow towards the pocket seems the best to me.

      Awesome, yes the elbow in the pocket is a great feel!

      Overdoing change is KEY! I see this all the time that amateurs are afraid to get out of their comfort zone.

    Good video. What a gorgeous athlete! Shallow the club as described, but it is just as important for the hands to move down toward the ground as the whole club shallows. Check out that right hip position at the top of her backswing. If the average golfer could achieve that position he or she would be well on their way to a great golf swing. Most amateurs don't get close to their right hip being so far away from the target line, what the ball sits on.

    Spot on. Three different thoughts on how to shallow. Haven't heard the shoulder to ear feel before. For me it seems to make my swing smoother vs the other 2. Thanks!
    loved chipping video as well.

    Great tip!.. I’ve been focusing on staying connected with my trail arm, but I’m worried about sacrificing width and subsequently power.

    • @davebaker7503
      @davebaker7503 Před 7 měsíci

      Trail arm connection is a no no. You're 100% correct about it causing lack of width and power. The guys over at AMG have shown on GEARS that most pros stay wide with the trail arm.

      Yep! Its the big muscles that drive the small ones! Takes out a ton of bad compensation patterns!

    What moves first during the transition - the left hip (rotation) or fhe right arm (falling)?

    • @coachcarolin
      @coachcarolin Před 7 měsíci +1

      Hey! Text book answer is the left hip. HOWEVER, back to my point of exaggeration, if we want to correct something we are doing wrong, like early rotation with the hip, we will need to feel the arms drop first. In reality, our hip will still move first but we "feel" like it doesnt. Feel and Real in the golf swing is so different from one another.

    • @ribusgan
      @ribusgan Před 7 měsíci

      @@coachcarolin I like Sergio's pulling the chain feel, and whenever I can channelise that, it's nice. But my problem is to keep that feeling and still get the timing of release correct and also the game within 100 yards (PW in for me). Nice video, anyway. Thanks.

    Hi Carolin, What is your opinion of sitting in transition and simply allowing the shaft to follow the sit motion?

    • @coachcarolin
      @coachcarolin Před 7 měsíci +1

      Hey there! I do think that the "sitting" motion has merit and can be helpful as long as you keep the upper body passive for a few seconds at the top while the lower body initiates that motion.

    • @s3gts
      @s3gts Před 7 měsíci

      @@coachcarolin Absolutely, It's a game of keep away with regard to the right shoulder. Let the shaft glide down the back prior to unwinding the upper body.

    How about bringing elbows closer together? Like you are kind of squeezing them closer? I am new to this move so I am trying to find a trigger….

    • @coachcarolin
      @coachcarolin Před 7 měsíci +1

      I like that thought, it can be a good one to start the downswing as it also promotes connection! Look at you coming up with some great ideas yourself! I love it! 5 star student over here :)
