    Bidirectional DC-to-DC converter allows power flow in both forward and reverse directions. Such a converter is specially suited for applications like electric traction because Bidirectional converter is also called two quadrant converter or four quadrant converter (if both voltage and current can change directions).

    If you give complementary pulse to M1 and M2, the conduction through mosfet body diode can be avoided and power can be saved. the conduction will be through mosfet. Thanks a lot !!!!! Great video. Keep the good work.

    What is the difference if we use "continuous" power gui instead of the one using here "discrete ts=...."??

      It's state of solver, MATLAB is converting model to mathematics equation to run simulation, so discreat is a type of solver which includes a step time in which output of circuit will be in step time which we mention as approx 50e-6 (50uSec).
      In continuous there is not steps output it's continuous solution like integration and Laplace transform.

    This is totally wrong with the way you are explaining the operation of a Bi-directional converter. In a Buck-Boost Bi-directional converter, the Buck side and Boost side are fixed and not changing.
