  • We tried out our brand new iPhone 13 Pro for the very first time during the Light Festival of Ghent (2021 edition). We wanted to see how the iPhone 13 Pro camera performs in low light conditions and test its stability. Beside some basic color correction, we didn't apply other effects - except for transitions like cross dissolve, dip to black and gradient wipe. We filmed half of the film in 4K 30fps ProRes and the other half in normal video mode to compare the results. Any feedback to film better with this iPhone will be appreciated!

It's very beautiful ! It's been a long time since we had a light festival at home because of the crisis! Hate that it resumes

Yes it was cancelled here before too! This was a more COVID safe edition, with less shows and more a light walk. But it was crowded though! I hate it too, want to continue normal life!

Hola! I love this video! It’s so uplifting to see life open and free, with people out enjoying this cool event. Your low light shots are amazing. Are you happy with shooting on the iPhone? Sending you guys big hugs

Thank you! Yes I bought this iPhone because of its video stabilisation and it’s awesome!! Indeed, it’s good to see people back in the city, unfortunately there are some new restrictions, but thank god no lockdown this time! Love from Belgium 🥰

I am genuinely impressed by this iPhone camera! Not being an Apple person I hope this quality is available in a Samsung phone soon if it isn't already. The non ProRes in this video looked great IMHO. No need for ProRes for routine CZcams or other social media platforms.

I was an Android user too 😃 switched from apple to android in 2017 because it was much better for photos. Right now I couldn’t find an android smartphone with the same good stabilisation for video. But I’m sure it will come soon! And you are right, prores is not needed. I’m happy with the non prores results because the prores files are way too big! Thanks for your reaction and have a nice day!

@@Kiladera After posting the comment above I set out to see if the latest and greatest Samsung phone competes with this and I was happy to find out the S21 Ultra does indeed do a great job also. I'm cheap so I buy new phones that are 2 or more years old. Phones that didn't sell when they were brand new. I tend to save $800-$1000 that way so in a couple of years I will be looking for an S21 Ultra. :) My current Galaxy 9+ does an amazing job but nothing like these new ones.. I will continue using dedicated cameras because it's a hobby for me but I like knowing I have an adequate or very good phone camera with me at all times for those unexpected moments.

Yes you are right, the S21 ultra looks like a great alternative! I wanted to buy that one, but after watching a ton of reviews and compares, I decided to go for the iPhone 13 pro. It’s a huge amount of money, but all my iPhones lasts for like 6 years. It was also just a hobby for me, but since the first lockdown I started with professional video making because it’s really my passion 🤩 i think it’s very smart to save money with waiting till it’s not new anymore! Enjoy your S21 ultra when you will buy it, I’m sure the camera is fantastic!
