- This was a fun build! The bbq pit is built out of 1/4" plate, is 36" wide and is 18" deep. Two 4" smokestacks with dampers, two tel-tru temp gauges, two daisy wheel air intakes on the door, a wagon base with pneumatic tires, magnetic handle catch for the wagon pull bar, slide out front entry cooking grate and top loading charcoal basket for grilling (Totally got this idea from the new mini Chud Box from Chuds BBQ here on CZcams and I love it! Thanks Brad!). This thing pulls like a dream being on pneumatic tires! It cooks like a champ as well. Very cool pit.

What a cool build from you again, always a pleasure to watch. And cool idea for the front wheel :)
Thanks man!
He back! More cooks on this direct heat pit please!!!
This pit is IDEAL. Inspiring channel. Whatever niche you're aiming at, I'm in it. I will be cobbling together a shoddy version of this pit this winter.
That’s awesome! Good luck on your build!
Before I read the description just looking at the thumbnail I thought that’s a chudbox on steroids. Well done sir!!!
That’s a fair assessment 😁
What a great cooker. Great ideas all around on this build.
Thanks!
Watched this a couple of times, I need to build one. Great build video.
Thanks Stu!!
Great to see a new video! Nice pit!
I appreciate that!

Bro I love your videos when you make but that goes keep coming constantly. Please do a build on a drum smoker your way... looking forward to that vid
You have mad skills!
Welcome back bro
Feels good to be back 😁
Love the quality of the videos. I can probably take some notes 😂
Thanks man! I could take notes from you on video frequency though. Keep pumping them out :)
@@fabmakebuildcook6274 yeah gotta graduate to talking and explaining eventually if I actually want it to grow. I think you have the right formula. You and maybe 2 or 3 more channels are what inspired me to start building just wishing got on it 2 years ago. It's pretty flooded out here now lol
@@BullseyeMetalWerks You're not wrong! I had big dreams of building a lot of pits. Now I only want to build custom/interesting pits. more fun that way and keeps it interesting.

How is it the day after I started watching him he comes back
The stars aligned apparently 🤣

A. great build. B. how tall is the grill not counting the wheels. C. Keep it coming
Thank you. 24” tall. I’ll do my best
@@fabmakebuildcook6274 thanks. I am not sure if I’m going to make mine 32 tall or 24 tall. I have a sheet bent 32x24. Was thinking tall incase I want to burn logs. I know your other ones are taller but what one do you like best
@@timothyswatzell221 they both have their pros and cons. Take us nice since you can literally have a fire in them and still cook low and slow. The shorter ones take less time to heat up and are probably a bit more efficient. Both are good
Your builds look great! I’m attempting my first build now of something similar. My 3/16 inch plate has thick mill scale on it. Would you recommend removing all the mill scale to the bare shiny metal? I dont plan to paint, but season with oil like you do. Thanks!
I’d leave the mill scale on and oil over it. I think it’s a good look. Plus removing so that scale would take quite a bit of time. Good luck on the build!!
@@fabmakebuildcook6274 Thanks for the reply! That’s what I was hoping for. Like you said, that would take a huge time investment to strip off, but I wasn’t sure if it would adhere correctly. I’m going for a dark metal look, like how your build turned out. Did the metal in this video have mill scale on it or was it P&O?
@@ItsAlwaysGood the was all 1/4” hot rolled so definitely has the mill scale on it.
What would you estimate the weight to be? Found your channel looking for design ideas, love your work!
I appreciate that! I think the unit is just over 300 lbs.
🔥
How can we place an order for this cooker? Do you have a Facebook or instagram website?
Have you tried a pizza stone in this yet?
No I didn’t try that on this one but it’s a good idea!
I think it would be clutch! @@fabmakebuildcook6274 also what is the height of this - with out the casters? I am thinking about building on for the front of the 250 Reverse flow I am building.
where are you located?
Minneapolis Minnesota
How much does one of these cost without the extra wheel kit
Prices vary like crazy on pits. Metal thickness, options, etc. For specifics feel free to email me at fabmakebuildcook@gmail.com
Thanks!
@@fabmakebuildcook6274 your latest build with the big tires and wagon handle minus those two parts off
Here’s a ideal, design and build your self a better platform for the evolution metal saw and this won’t happen again 🫵👍
Not wrong
