My buddies Pat and Tim visited the farm to help build a meat smoker. I play the part of the welder, Tim is the electronics whiz, and Pat is the smoke master. We wanted to use a vertical design, thinking it'll take up less room when it's being stored, and Tim had some ideas of how to use a programmable fan to control the temperature of the fire. Tim also had the idea of using a boat horn as an alarm to alert/wake up the smoke master (pat) if the fire gets too hot or when the meat reaches the programmed temperature. Once we finished building the smoker, we fired it up and got two briskets smoking for the big Halloween party we were having in the barn.
As a viewer, I appreciate the way you turn a "message from our sponsors" into entertainment, instead of the usual shill that goes on, if I was a potential sponsor it would encourage me to partner with you, well done.
Great job on the smoker as well.
I agree with you Peter. Its a very intelligent way!
I know im randomly asking but does anybody know a tool to get back into an instagram account??
I somehow lost my password. I appreciate any tips you can give me
@Sylas Maurice instablaster :)
@Grey Cullen I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
@Grey Cullen It did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thanks so much, you really help me out !
Amazing- even your ads are better than most CZcams content
Freedom Toast Why’s that, Mr Toast?
What adds are you getting?!?!
Pat is a real bro, for real.
That’s the first ad I’ve ever voluntarily watched on CZcams
Can't say enough how much I enjoyed on all building the smoker and cooking the briskets. Thanks for sharing. Family n friends, they go hand in hand.
just seen this video and got to say that your craftsmanship on this smoker was excellent ! I like the design with the vents going from bottom firebox to the top. You guys put together a piece of art. I BBQ all the time and If I seen that smoker you build in a store, I would have bought it. very nice. That smoker was built from the heart and sole. Great Job!!
"Any special holidays to cook large pieces of meat?" Well in Texas we call it Saturday! Lol
Texans consider chicken to be a vegetable.
You wait until Saturday?
Any of the days that end in Y Are the days I used to say were good for smoking meat. Do you really think you need a holiday for it?
That brisket as well as the smoker are beautiful!!! You ought to be proud of yourselves for an exceptional job on both!!!
In Texas it not uncommon to cook a mix of meats that way just keep the chicken on the bottom rack. You can hang a lot of sausage in that thing. I wonder if you could crack up the fan keeping a low really low heat and make jerky. True jerky is made with almost no heat.
Saturday and Sunday at my house. Occasionally on weekdays if I get off work early.
I'm 2 minutes in and Tim seems like he's a lot of fun to hang out with.
That smoker is fantastic!
It looks like it's built to last 100 years!
And, "Hey Trade", if you keep supporting my friend here, I'll buy your coffee regularly!
I should just "stick" to welding
This kind of sentences are the one that get written down in book full of smart people's citations !
I love the video ! A ton of steel, and a ton of fun ! Best from far away Switzerland !
Hehe, the old "Safety Squint". AvE would be proud.
Holiday, why wait! Any day of the week that ends in "y" is a great day for smoking something. Very nice and unique build.
Holidays with smoked meat? You haven't lived till you have had a smoked turkey for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Summertime...is just a damn good excuse to smoke meat for a big ass party. You could do ribs and meatloaf and dinosaur eggs (hardboiled eggs wrapped with spiced ground beef and smoke\cooked) ABT's (atomic buffalo terds aka cream cheese stuffed jalapeno's with a sprinkle of rub on top) just slice the jalapeno's in half and scoop out the seeds. Anytime is smoke time man. Love the smoker, awesome build. That is a great plasma table, gotta get me one of those.
Just throwing this out there. Vinegar or muriatic acid are great at removing galvanizing. As I’m sure you know, welding galvanized parts are a no no. Happy fabricating!
Yeah I was wondering that myself, releases cyanide iirc? I have a couple fume extractors for that.
Awesome build! I love a good smoker. Just FYI: Wrapping the brisket also helps overcome "The Stall" which is when the temp of the meat gets up to a certain point then stalls out or plateaus. This happens because the evaporation of the moisture coming out of the meat is able to cool the meat as fast as it is being heated by the smoke. Effectively the meat is being cooled in the same way that our bodies cool down by sweating. Wrapping prevents this evaporation allowing the meat to come up to the needed temperature without drying out.
Great video!
My friend you are creating functional ART!
It’s looking amazing, l love your design. Thank you for sharing your amazing story. God bless you and your family
First time viewer. Love the smoker. One of my fondest memories was my Grandpa built a smoker. In it was bacon, hams, turkey and a couple pheasants. Don't even see many pheasants anymore, but that was some tasty bird.
I used to work at a factory that made wood stoves. It's kind of cathartic seeing you guys rip one to pieces, gotta say.
Holy cow, that was a sweet build. Love the attention to detail.
These are some of the best project videos on the internet.
Best one built so far to me. Love the design
Your videos never disappoint. There is so much to learn from watching your videos plus it is relaxing and you always see through to the end. Thank you for sharing.
I never welded both hinges upside down, but I once welded one upside down.
That door is never coming off without a grinder.
Almost never watch a full video, this was an amazing experience.
thank you!
Amazing build! Glad I'm not the only welder that occasionally forgets to hook up the ground! Lol
That is a great looking smoker! For as much bending of metal as you do, you should really look into Swag Off Road finger brake kit to fit into a shop press. They are pretty easy to build and are very useful. I have had mine for several years and it has really enhanced my metal work projects for the farm.
This is awesome. I definitely appreciate seeing all the intricate pieces. Next up is an automatic wood or pellet feed system!
Awesome, this might be something me and my dad will be building for him some day. Nice job!
Man I wish I had friends to hang out with and build stuff with like ya'll, I love building stuff but none of my very few friends do.
I've built one very similar
The outwood fled lip is a good design
Inwood fled lip causes complications for your meat racks
Love it! Great design, great execution, great time with friends.
I love the way you incorporate your sponsors and make a project for them. Super cool and creative!
I love welding and building smokers. Not so good at cooking on them. That was an awesome design. Good work and craftsmanship
I WANT THAT COFFEE POT YOU MADE IN THE AD 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
I love the Christmas tree look done with the fir tree 🌲 It really adds a beautiful picture perfect 👌✅👍
Man I wish There was good shows like this on TV ,well done Buddy ,thank you .
This was awesome!!! Great build. Checking out the rest of the channel right now!
I bet welding the inside corners of those smoke vents was a pain. Excellent job. Looks like some awesome friends.
Pat is a damn good buddy!
You guys did a great job on this smoker, thanks for sharing the video cheers🥃
Wow I smoke a lot. I have an ugly drum. But this one is by far the best smoker build on CZcams
Your videos always make my day better. Great content. Thank you.
very nice build , i like the re-ose uf the old fire box and stacking the boxes
youll have to include that smoker with the farm if you ever sell it; unless youre friends with Hulk so you can move it xD.
Super Cool.
This was such a great project and a really great video.
Pacing and content were top notch as always.
Thanks for making awesome stuff!

Easter will be a perfect holiday to smoke meat, thank you for sharing your amazing project. God bless you and your family.
Man that smoker is awesome! I would really like to see a video of you guys about the steps when smoking something like that brisket. 🤔
Greetings from Germany! Awesome videos!
Just found your channel today.
This was the first vid I watched.
Went right into your 4 part chandelier series.
EXCELLENT work.
I've been a pipefitter/welder for 31 years.
8 years of welder/fabricator before that.
Always enjoy channels with professional quality.
Subscribed and liked.
Keep up the good work and good content.
Nice project! What a champ staying up all night!
Very interesting smoker, Ad is very well done and relatable. The meat looked great, Awesome job all around. Congrats.
Nice build! I like that you can put a lot of racks in it. It gives you the option of being able to make a ton of jerky!!
That was by far one of your best projects great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome build I'm working on my fourth smoker build, can't wait to try it out
DiResta would be proud. I am inspired. Thanks for sharing.
I was watching another favorite you tuber and put it on pause when I saw this come in. I knew there would be a smoker build vid when it was shown in the Halloween vid...This is good stuff!
As a lot of people say, I love your commercials.
Wow!! Another great build. 👍👍👍 Who doesn’t need a big smoker?!?!?! I don’t think you’ll have any noise complaints from the neighbors. Looks amazing. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
This is cool, been wanting to take on a project like this, you made it look easy!
I'm down here in Texas and I'm hoping to build my place next year. I have full intentions of building a smoker and this raises the bar on ideas. Love the video and keep on smoking my friend.
Don't forget to invite me over once you get that smoker done.
So cool! Well done guys!
Another well done video. I really enjoy your work and editing projects.
Sick project brisket got my mouth watering!
Very nice smoker.Thank you for sharing.
Everything looks really cool but I think you need to put a grease drain some sort of plate at the bottom at the angle leading to an outside drain into a coffee can or something other than that everything looks pretty sharp. Thanks for the great CZcams content. 🇺🇸
another amazing build, amazing video, and amazing Ad. Love it! so creative
Dude!!!! Your skills are amazing!!! Well done and congrats.
I didn't know Tom Brady makes smokers, nice job Tom!
Great job on the build and the video! I came looking for exactly such a build. You earned another subscriber.
Great smoker and fine video. Been missing your stuff for a while. Hope you will be back with more.
Great job on the smoker! That brisket looked incredible!
Add a turkey for Thanksgiving and a ham for Christmas..Mmmm And don't forget some homemade sausages just for the heck of it. Good looking smoker
Great project and great team work getting it all together to include the smoked briskets! I finally got around to a life goal of smoking Texas style brisket recently and Pat's steps/techniques are pretty close to my own! Great job Pat! Man, it takes some time to smoke a brisket...but the results are really worth it! Guess I'll have to fabricate a better smoker that holds the heat better than my off-the-shelf vertical smoker! Thanks for sharing and enjoy! You're one hard working guy! Best to the family! :)
I envy your friends,
having a friend like you :)
Wow what a killer build! Awesome job
A little creativity and some know how goes a long way. Well done I dont smoke meat but the craftsmanship kept me tuned in
As always stellar work, that brisket looked mouth watering
Great build and story, man. Well done
what a awesome smoker well designed.
Great design and craftsmanship!
Man I am glad I found this channel, I'm hooked! My old man passed away this last year and left behind a huge shop (previous horse riding arena) and a ton of tools. They are completely unorganized and buried with cars, and a lot of junk. I sure hope to get the shop to the point you have yours. I'm a mechanical engineer and did fabrication in college working nights...can't wait to get back to welding. This is getting me excited. Nice work!
Sorry for your loss. Lost may Dad too, and it hurts. But what a wonderful thing to get to build your shop with his old tools. He'd be really happy about that, and you'll remember him every time you're out using them in your shop.
I’m new to the channel and wow I’m impressed already! Keep up the great work!
Wicked awesome! That smoker would be my prize possession, if I owned it!
This is a work of art and love! You, sir area true visionary! I subscribed because of this video and the barrel smoker build with your friend that got me to this video :)
Bel lavoro, complimenti!
WOW!! Very Nice Smoker. You did awesome job!👍
Brisket looks so GOOD!!🤗
I really like that build. Great job.
Very nicely done.
That’s a great smoker y’all did a fantastic job on it!
Brilliant Work. I'm very glad I got this channel.👍🙏
Nice one mate . She come out a treat
Great video and nice smoker. Thanks
Tack det var intressant .
Your parts for the Marble Machine X lead me here. The chances of me ever welding up a smoker are as low as they are of my making something like Martin's music machine ... meaning zero ... but DAMN I enjoy watching talented people do what they do!! Bravo!
Awesome job man. You should be a tv or radio announcer. You have a good listening voice. Like mike row. Shit. I could listen to row talk about cow farts and it would sound amazingly interesting. Your projects are great. Well thought out and planed. Great execution. And the final product is what you expected in the first place. 🙏👍🙏👍👍
Good sheet. This was inspiring
i like how you put so much work into your sponsors
Great video and great build!
Mah man with the Le Creuset French press and high quality Costco flannel. Two of my favorite things.
Nicely done.
