    Hi everyone, so today we prepared Roti using Spelt Flour and Virgin Coconut Oil , what is Spelt Flour? This type of flour is a healthy alternative to regular flour, it is known for its high fiber and protein content which aids in digestion; very light on the stomach and easy to digest! There are so many other healthy flours out there to choose from but the spelt four reminds me of traditional white flour , especially coming from a soul food background, comment your thoughts but once you try this , you won’t be missing anything. It’s nice and soft, flaky and delicious. Even when you store in refrigerator and you warm it, it still tastes soft. Thanks for watching and see you in my next video?

    I will be trying these, just wondering can you use ghee instead of coconut oil? Thanks!

      Yes any alternative you desire. The virgin coconut oil was what I preferred, but there are so many different options that you can use. The virgin coconut oil was in butter form when I applied it to the dough so once your ghee is in the same form, I see no problem using it. Any additional questions or comments, feel free and thank you for watching!

    Which temperature you put the pan?

    • @Naturalethics-NE
      @Naturalethics-NE  Před 4 měsíci

      Thank you for this question, the temperature was up and down, all depends on the type of stove you have, some have electric and some like myself have gas, with electric stove, it’s somewhat easier to control the temperature but with gas you gotta play with it. Checking it at first it was 250 degrees and then as I put the stove on low to prevent crunchy roti, it dropped to 230. So you can play with it after heating to 350 degrees, remain between 250 to 280 degrees and if using an electric griddle, 300 degrees is good. Hope this helps,

      @@Naturalethics-NE I think is because I used meal instead of fluor. Over here in NL the Vita brand is hard to acquire

      Thanks for responding. I do apologize for the delay, for some reason I’m just seeing your last comment. You are so correct. I only use the white vita spelt flour. Can you provide me with the exact name of the flour you used? So I can research to purchase and modify the recipe for you?
