Lovely to see you two hunting on the Lyme Regis foreshore. It looks so much different from last summer as I visited there. Those places with lots of rusty metal pieces were my favorite spot to look for treasures. I hope to be able to visit next year too. Happy days!
The metal clusters are the best spots to search for small treasures.
I live in Lyme and go on the beach several times a week. Found some PO tokens although I did not know what tokens they were. Have others of different shape too. Love copper boat nails too of which I have many. Your find could be a sixpence or truppenny bit as I found several over the years. Enjoyed your video like others in the past, thanks for sharing.

Your mysterious Victorian coin is in fact a pre 1860 Victorian Penny. Made from pure copper and bigger than the Bronze pennies from 1860 onwards.
Thanks Brian but we have 2 of the copper ones in our collection. This one is much thicker.
I'm going to do some electrolysis on the coin to bring up more detail but I still suspect it to be an Imperial Russian coin from the 1800s.

A permit is only required for the River Thames between Teddington Locks and the Thames barrier, nowhere else.
