Dirtwire - Steppegrass | The Pinecone Series - Episode 1

- During some downtime from life on the road, the Dirtwire trio brought their mind-bending instrumentation up to The Pinecone and debuted an unreleased song. The song was so new, in fact, that during b-roll captures, they were still ironing out the arrangement on the forest floor.
Describing the music that Evan Fraser (ngoni), David Satori (guitarjo), and Mark Reveley (bass) create is no simple task. “Future revival, swamptronica, spaghetti-step or electro-twang” could all fit the bill. There are few bands akin to Dirtwire, with their instruments from all over the globe, instantly recognizable Caballero outfits, and boot-stomping, booty shaking shows that are difficult to top.
The band recorded two songs in the fabled Pinecone: Steppegrass, seen here, and an off-the-cuff jaw-harp jam to be released at a later date.

This ranks as one of the coolest visually and audibly entertaining new artists I’ve stumbled onto lately. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve heard so far and the video just compliments it all...
Awesome. They're one of our favorites and put on such a great live show.

Yes JT fest be there!!!!
Oh man, you guys need one of the former drummers from Ozric Tentacles. Imagine a live percussionist with the same sensibilities as you guys but with enough of an organic feel to the contribution that a drum machine will never produce.
Dig it.
SMASHIN that like button 2023 checking in
intersting. So wkth that bow you may as well just be playing a turkish cumbus tambur. And a kora? Yiu guys arw wild 😂
Hey y'all, may I ask what method of audio recording was used for this performance? doing a bit of research to best figure out how I should mic my own live recordings. Thanks!
🥀🥀🥀🥀
Love you guys! JT music fest in October?
JTMF!
:( :( Damn you, Covid.
Reminds me a lot of Taureg music.
This is beautifully made music. May I please use it in a video I'm making?
Thank you so much. We appreciate the inquiry but our content is exclusively for The Pinecone Series and the artists we are featuring and not available for free use.
@@thepineconeseries could I use this for something I wouldn't make money off of and credit you?
@@gett4461 I'd say for this, specifically, you're probably best to get a mechanical license if you haven't gotten permission. That would cover your bases, essentially; even monetarily! Check out this link- it is good information, regardless of your decision!! ( assuming you are not aware ) -3K
I was gifted a 5 string banjo. Is there a tutorial to learn the banjo part?
Where can i find the guy with the beard and what he is doing with music now?
Hillbilly trance, cool....
Where is the Pine Cone i want to visit
What is that odd looking but beautiful sounding instrument called???
Evan is playing a ngoni
