Funmi we are age mate, but the difference is that you take good care of yourself. I look way older than my Twin Brother because of my obesity though when I took ill I lost a bit of weight which I tried to maintain it in totality I lost 7kg but when Christiana said she lost 76 pounds I believe I can also do it, I need to loose much more weight cos its affecting me. I am really encouraged today though I have been watching videos on weightloss, now I said this is from my age mate and I must do it. Obesity goes with a lot of illness please beware

Im so appreciate of Fumi and Christina for this talk because God knows I needed to hear this. I just came back from shopping and today I saw myself at the changing rooms and felt so ashamed. At 18 stone and 5'4 at 26 years old. I have struggled with my weight since forever and finally decided to have a gastric sleeve. I choose this not because its "a quick way out" but because I needed a tool to help me on my health. By any means women we need to take care of our health. I had the gastric sleeve 8 weeks ago and down 2 stone 😍
It’s a tool. Good luck with your journey. Take it slow and concentrate on the inputs rather than the outcomes. Track your calories and how often you work out. I lost 65+ lbs and for me eating lower carbs worked.

Hi my 2 darlings, this presentation is just what I needed. I’m an older woman, and is much overweight. A doctor gave me a surgery that i really didn’t need, and my body isn’t making hormones like it should, and I’ve been suffering with hot flashes for over 20 years. I’ve tried every diet on the market and nothing have worked. I need to loose 75 pounds. I have strong cravings for sweets and chips. I know I need to exercise, have no energy and get short winded easily. Too hot to go walking outside. Im going to start using weights again or the bands. I do not want an early grave. Congratulations! My only take on healthy weight loss is to put the veggies before the fruit. Leafy greens, not lettuce, has fiber, vit K , green string beans, beets, beans... Many fruits have lots of sugar so be careful. Small dumbbells to trim arms. Otherwise you guys are amazing!

I am in my early 30s and I started applying everything you mention very early in my life, since I was 16 years old, I do not eat after 7, maybe one exception once every 8 months. Eating healthy is sooo very much important. It shouldn’t be about loosing weight, it should be a lifestyle.

My Rheumatologist told me that black women are at higher risk of heart disease. When there is an autoimmune disease present. #Healthiswealth continue on your journey ladies. You both look great.❤️🙏🏾

The best way to manage it is Healthy diet with lots of fresh fruits & veges, water, excercise, and reduce your stress as much as possible. I had watched some of your videos about a year ago. Recently you've been coming up in my CZcams feed and I have just fallen in love with you my beautiful beautiful sister! Your truthfulness you're bubbly personality and honesty truly is a blessing. This video was a piece of gold! I will be 59 in January. I have never been a skinny girl but I am aware that the older I get the harder it is to keep weight off. I've never had a metabolism.. never! So it means that I have to cut out specific foods especially carbs.. simple carbs, sugar and of course cut my portions. The heaviest that I got was 310.!! But 8 years ago I lost close to 90 lb. I went through a divorce 5 years ago and I gained back about 40 I lost 20 so I'm still working on trying to get that 20 off my body. I confess it's portion control and sugar control! It's so easy to slip back into old eating habits. Thank you so much for this video and the other ones that I see on your channel that are about aging gracefully. I wish that I could meet you in person and maybe Lord willing we would be able to cross paths the continue to put out videos that encourage women of color and women of other cultures to carry themselves with dignity and to be the woman that the Lord God Almighty has created them to be ❤️
Awesome!!! I daresay, I would decrease the carbs, increase the veggies! As for my sister with fibromyalgia, eat small amounts of raw ginger and garlic. Also make a tea with ginger, cinnamon, turmeric root, whole cloves and a few black pepper corns. Drink that every other day and see if that doesn't help the nerve flair ups. Only down side is that I don't know if you are taking pressure pills. I know that the tea has anti inflammatory properties.

Ms Christina, I am right there with you on the alopecia... I have it in the front of my head. It is a painful journey, especially for someone who really did not care much for having long hair and was free about cutting and growing it. Now I keep it low cut and can hide the thinning spot. I cannot braid or relax it and dreading the day I have to start wearing wigs. I have never been a wig person. I hate them... but Ican now see them in my future.....
My weight is not that bad. I am about 8 kgs overweight, but I want to start eating more nourshing food.
Keep it up ladies. Your presence on the internets as dark skinned over 50 ladies is SO SO NECESSARY AND REQUIRED. God bless the works of your hands.

Sis if you like tea you can get cold brew teabags and put in sparkling or still water, I started doing that and now drink 2-3 litres of water per day. Life changing for the skin. For treats I have the bottle green cordials. You look gorgeous ladies 🤩

You guys are amazing. Just recently found your channel and love it. for those older women out there if you'll take my humble suggestions. when on my weight loss Journey this year. I decided to only choose the activities I like which include swimming walking and biking I don't do anything else not doing weights right now, and I adjusted my diet just as you said, I picked the things I like and either try to do a vegan version of it it, less fat version of it, so that I'm not depriving myself. I'm down 40 lbs thus far with another 20 lb to go. Look forward to watching you guys in the future. Be blessed.
