Hand made knife...

they produce tends of kids so yes they need to work hard to feed them. Sell your house and give them donation.
Maybe the process is the same as Japanese knives 🔪 but the metal is not the same !😮
Somehow I think that 99% of "japanese knives" on sale on the internets are made exactly this way...
So where can we buy an authentic Japanese chef's knife?
@@AhnDhyYhu Pakistan obviously.
the low cost, yes. If you paye the good price, you have the good blade...
@@AhnDhyYhusearch internet
Visit their official site n place order.they r expensive knives .
No water cooling during sharpening.
Edge will be soft and dull easy.
It looks thin enough not to even matter since the geometry is so thin it can cut way after the edge is no longer sharp
I don’t think the Japanese make knives out of dump truck leaf springs.
😂
Exactly my thought.
It is referring to a blade style. Not who and how it is made. As for leaf spring steel it is well suited for high carbone knife blades. It is off course not a stainless steel but so do original Japanese knife blades. They do what they can with what they have.
@Vlade_the_impaler exactly real Japanese chef knives are made of high carbon steel, which leaf string is.
@@stevenbaker43 Absolutely agree. One problem is bad heat treatment, poor quality control and a knife blade needs to be water cooled during sharpening. It removes all benefits of heat treatment. Whatever they do with torch is not a proper heat treatment. Metall needs some time to change in to austentitic or martensitic phase. Which even further destroyed by sharpening with out water cooling. Manufacturers do not recommend to wash knives in dishwasher for same reason. Overtime it recerts heat treatment.
I dig the fake forging marks hammered in by hand-lol
I enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
I love to have those knives. They’re all working so hard. 💐🥰🌚

@@cosmodesant czcams.com/video/PTj1EKWBeoQ/video.html
Very good quality knives, not inferior to japanese
The hammering here is just decorative, there is no purpose, other than possibly creating microfractures. The hammer marks from Japanese work is from actually working the metal while it's hot. I appreciate that so many places are making knives these days, but this is visual copycatting only. With a few minor adjustments, these guys could be making great knives instead of garbage.
The dude with 4 thumbs freaked me out.
This is Japanese knife duplicate. Good job sir.

That heat treatment which is called quenching the knife
But it even has further process of tempering which they have skipped
It might have been a half decent knife if you could be bothered to cool it down from time to time?
It's intended to be a fake from the beginning
But it's Japanese.
@@mcyclonegt No, it's not. These are knock-offs designed to look like a forged Japanese knife as cheaply as possible. The only thing they have in common with the real thing is superficial appearance.
So , you don't think these guys know what their doing ? OK , 'Sparky ' . Stick to Home Depot .
@@oldbuzzard76 They do know what they're doing, making a cheap counterfit. The people you see here don't care that these are trash, because it's the work they can get, wherever this is. It probably doesn't pay well either. Their employers don't care either.
The time and effort that goes into these, with a few changes minor changes they could be sold for alot more and would actually be highly sought after. Just make the tang longer, actually heat treat the blades, then DONT let the grinders ruin it when grinding. It would change everything
Hmmmm....
Car bumper chefs knife 👌🏻
It's clear that this product is hand made in Pakistan!
Guy at 9:05 won’t ever be able to give people a high 5. Lol
God Bless these people who are working very hard with what they have, making knives.
Hard working
wow @ 8:20 they have Super Glue how innovative
Now I will always fear when buying a knife online with a good price that this will be made like this... new fear :(
Just look online for good knife steel info. A knife maker who uses good steel will know usually how to make a good knife. Their not cheap. Read reviews.
WMF and Zwilling are very good brands for knives
That knife is made from quality steel and a quality process.
Safety first!
Santoku knife, is Japanese in design.
The shape is a santoku, but these are fakes.
@@orbatos Agreed, only look-alikes, not heirloom quality.
Very nice knife
They look like Japanese, but process is totaly different, and metal results may not be as good
they used used leaf spring steel 5160 carbon. It's a quality metal which makes good knives.

Japanese knife which is made in Pakistan 😂😂😂😂
Nice job !
So this is why when i use a sharpening device with preset angles it has difficulty sharpening. If they used an angle stock while grinding the knives it will make everyone who buys one easy to maintain and keep it sharp. But then again they never correctly tempered the steel so it’s crap anyway.
You got it right! Quick buck, not quality product. As far as the workers, at least they got a job to help feed their families.
The reason you use a sharpening device is because you have no idea of how to sharpen by hand. Your father, grandfather, and millions and millions and millions of people around the world sharpen by hand and get their knives very sharp...............You could never do what these do.
Bla bla. Nothing else. 😂
@@BennyCFDYou obviously don't understand that they weren't talking about being unable to sharpen it at all. These are counterfeits, made to be counterfeits. The lack of temper means they are also bad at holding a good edge and have poor characteristics when sharpening. FYI I've made knives properly .
He’s not sharpening by hand he’s using a grinder!
OSHA,The HSE and the likes have a place in this world.

What a beautiful experience, the chef's blade from start to finish,a top quality product
Not top quality at all. The process they use with what tools they have is amazing. But the end result will be an edge that goes as blunt as a butter knife. The title of the video is so misleading. There is nothing in the process of these knives that is even slightly Japanese, except Maybe the silhouette of the knife if you squint hard enough.
😅😅 i know where they are sell the product😂😂😂 they are sell to aliexpres😂😂

Где.вы.берете.столько. или..по.всей.стране.
So it’s a Japanese knife made in India😂😂
Not in India its in Pakistan
Heat treating then grinding it so hot kiss goodbye to the hardness! ( no temper anyway so it will be very brittle) spring steel makes great knife steel if hardened and tempered correctly....£5 aliexpress knife....
copy sort of, how about quality steel that wont rust? just a crap imitation.
Quality Japanese knives are also made from carbon steel and will also rust if not properly maintained.
Ancient Japanese province of jun Kai. Rare subculture of Japan mixed with its neighbors in India. All of this is the same as it was done in 200-400 BC. The stone grinders date back to 1000 BC. Beautiful.
That's Pakistani Japanese Knives. Not India.
Super annaa
But wait a minute.... the absolutely only criteria for a knife to be called a Japanese knife... "Is if it was actually made in Japan!"
❤❤❤❤❤

Just because you call it Japanese doesn't make it so. This is about as authentic as pleather.

Hello where can I buy these knife
Look very Japanese
Japanese knives takes half a day to make one !!!
Don´t have to be bad knifes if the steel was halfways right, but japanese are those not. Please give those man water cooled grinding stones, they ruined the heat treatment by overheating the steel.
after watching this...I no longer believe in all the famous and very expensive Japanese and Chinese brand knife products...
It's better if the knife is made by a local expert. If it's dull, just sharpen it again...
