- After visiting the huge Brihadishvara Temple, I wanted to check out some other temples. So I picked one that had the most reviews on Google Maps. On my way to that temple I bought some dairy products that I have never tried before...and of course tea and coffee. But the coffee had a completely different taste.

I recommend you to visit these places in and around TamilNadu- Chennai - Pondy Bazaar market , Kora food street, Puduchery ,Ooty-Masinagudi death road and mudhumalai tiger reserve safari. 13 arch bridge which is longer the one in Sri Lanka located in Sengottai-punalur railway track . Thanjavur maratha palace, Pichavaram Boating in mangrove forest , Hogenakkal waterfalls parisal boating ,Dhanushkodi old harbour and dhanushkodi point(Arichal Munai), Theri kadu which is a red sand desert kinda place , ripple adventure munnar and tea estates of munnar Alapuzha boat house . Madurai Meenakshi temple and Nayakar palace . Of course you can’t travel to all place but atleast try to visit some places you’ll probably like them.

Thanjavur is somewhat cleaner than other south Indian cities. There are some good restaurants near the old and new bus stands. Roads are wider.
True, I have eaten some very delicious meals in Thanjavur 😇
Missed out on Thanjavur during my trip. Got any food spots or must-see places you'd recommend for when I eventually swing by?
@InvestedAdventure Brihadeeswar temple is a must see,loved the masala pori puffed rice at the entrance. Maratha palace is interesting. There is also Rajali birds park. I visited a couple of years ago. Being vegetarian, I liked the Arya Bhavan near old bus stand, especially their mushroom biriyani for lunch on some days. Lassi is good in Bombay sweets next to Arya Bhavan. I loved the Divya sweets, a short walk from Arya Bhavan, good cheap coffee and tried the masala potato sandwich, arrives fresh at 9.30 am. A little further north across the street is a rajastan tea shop with hot samosas. Google above restaurants for directions. For non vegetarian restaurants local friends please suggest. If not take a short daytrip to Trichy, which has plenty of non veg restaurants.

Mh I'm confused about the tea...Normal tea, milk tea, ginger tea, massala tea...I just don't like if there's too much milk taste. But almost every tea here in India is amazing. What's your favourite tea?
