    my favourite South Indian temple is Brihadisvara temple in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. at least 130000 tonnes of granite has been used to construct the Temple. but there is no granite mountain or rocky hill 100 km radius around Thanjavur. it is said that around 3,000 elephants were used to bring those stones from far away. the architecture is based on interlock method also known as puzzle technique. no cement, stucco, plaster, adhesive were used between the stones. one stone is placed over another to lock it. it was built without digging the land which means it was built on plain land. 81 tonnes stone is placed over the temple Tower at the height of over 160 feet known as kumbam. there were no crane or Power machinery to lift the stone to height. to the top of the temple tower they made a ramp 6 km long which took 6 years to build. elephants, horses, bulls and labourers worked together to bring this single piece of stone and placed over the temple, exquisitely carved. Temple said to have several underground passages which connects to several other places most of them are now sealed. it is over 1000 years old gone through 6 earthquakes, a major fire and still standing in style.

      Do you know when Ramayana is written? Grammar and meter were perfectly followed in this legend. So, the language of Sanskrit should be sufficiently older than Ramayana. Tamil is ancient, beautiful and respect worthy. But to say that no other language existed at that time can not be accepted.

      @user-tm2fy5mi1i Před 2 měsíci +33

      @@IKnowIt448 Well my friend.
      Ramayana - FICTION - must be written after 2 AD just 1800 years ago cos there was NO such written language called Sanskrit before 2AD.
      We Tamils never belittle other languages or races but telling the facts cos others spread diabolical lies about the Mixed language Sanskrit which started writing after 2 AD by borrowing others' letters.

      @@user-tm2fy5mi1i No authority has dated Ramayana after 1 BCE. Please mention your sources. Vedas are ancient than Ramayana and Vedas too have established grammar and meter. Why are you suddenly talking about script while you were talking about existence of a language before 2000 years ago? Now you talk about Mixed language Sanskrit-why? Was there any other language other than Tamil 2000 years ago? - Yes there was , it is Sanskrit. In it, Vedas and Ramayana were already present.

      @@IKnowIt448 Well my friend
      There was NO such language called Sanskrit before 2 AD at all cos NO hard evidence for that + Sanskrit ONLY started writing after 2 AD by borrowing others' letters or scripts till today.
      Then how the hell the so called Vedhas + FICTIONAL Ramayana could have written in NON EXISTENT language Sanskrit?
      Mixed language Sanskrit actually a COCKTAIL of Tamil, Prakiri, Pali and others and Brahmins DIDN'T create thar either as Brahmins never ever had or have a land of their own to create a language or anything.

    • @ancientminds199
      @ancientminds199 Před 2 měsíci +4

      Let’s take two languages X and Y at time t0. Then at a later date through times t1-t5, we will have Xt1, Xt2, Xt3, Xt4 and Xt5 similarly, Yt1, Yt2, Yt3, Yt4 and Yt5. Now, which of these is oldest? Most would answer Xt0 and Yt0. But, in fact none exists other than Xt5 and Yt5. Since, languages are primarily spoken they don't exist beyond the point of utterance. Assume now, we have written records left for each of these, viz., Xt3, Xt4 and Xt5 but Yt4, and Yt5. Which of these is oldest? People would quip with Xt3. In fact, Xt3 wouldn't have come into existence without Xt0, Xt1, Xt2. Therefore, the answer is wrong. Hence we should say Xt3 and Yt4 were the earliest recorded stages of X and Y but not the oldest representations of X and Y. Logically, Xt5 and Yt5 are the continuities of Xt0 and Yt0 through ages. Neither of X and Y is older than the other. Ofcourse! It's lot more complex than this. The closeness between X0 and X3 than the closeness between Y0 and Y1. It gets even more complex. X0 not only creates X1 in T1, but also X1-1,X1-2 and so on,in the same T.X1-2 then to X2-2--1,X2-2--2etc.... Then X2-2--2 to X2-2--2---1,X2-2--2---2 etc.... So does Y0. You can call them different languages or different dialects. It's subjective. Things don't end here. X3-3--3---4 might influence X3-3--1---2 to create a new language (X3-3--3---4)(X3-3--1---2). But whether this newly created language be given an independent language status is subjective. It depends on the magnitude of influence. Just like there's magnitude of influence, there's magnitude of mutation too to pave the way for more vagueness.(Plot twist: The language X0 was P5-6--9---2----7-----12 and Y0 was P5-2--4---2----7-----1). Now I'd like to know which one is the oldest living language. ((X3-3--3---4)(Y3-3--1---2)3-3) ((X2-1--3)(X2-3--1)3-1--3). Or..((Y3-1--2---1)(Y3-3--1---2)3-2) ((X2-1--2)(X2-1--1)3-2--3)?????

    You discovered one of the pride of India.
    Its Lord Shiva Temple.
    Don't again divide us by saying North and South, like the colonialists did.
    You can say Tamilnadu region of India.
    Unfortunately we already lost our temples is so called northern parts of India and Pakistan because of foreign attacks in past.
    Kailasa Temple in Maharashtra region.
    Konark Sun Temple in Orissa region.
    Nalanda in Bihar region.
    Khajuraho in Madhyapradesh region.
    and many more..
    are waiting for you..
    Thank you for visiting India.
