Dream team! Thank you so much for making the Supergiant Games soundtrack that more rich and beautiful!
Monaco was one of my favorite games when i was younger, I played through the whole thing with my dad and brother while jamming out to the soundtrack the entire time, you and Supergiant working together is truly a match made in Hades!
It brought such a fullness to the tracks, Austin!! Hearing them for the first time was a gift.
Oh look it’s the guy who composed soundtracks for the game about furries cannibalizing each other.
@Oh Yes Yes Tooth and Tail
I remembered Hades saying once that "Death and I" was his favorite song, so then I heard it in this playlist and realized it's his favorite because its the song that plays whenever Zagreus dies 😂
Oh snaaapp I didn't realise XDXD

Hey nice Kano picture :)

It's also what plays when Than comes and helps Zagreus out though, if I'm remembering right. So... Hades ships it?

theres also the saz which is a turkish instrument haha
Don’t forget the 808’s. A Greek classic
You know what would be nice to see an artwork of zagreus with different deathly decorated guitars while playing them
well obviously the theremin was powered by zeus
Bouzouki and guitar combination top notch
Props to Supergiant for making their incredible soundtrack free to listen with no ads whatsoever.

I mean, why wouldn't they? Their source of income is game sales. Whatever money ads on this video may have made them would pale in comparison.
@@verified_tinker1818 Many games either don't release the OST separately, or have it for sale next to the game. Supergiant does sell an MP3 version of the soundtrack, but they also put it up on CZcams for free, which is nice. I mean, they could have just as well not done it, so I consider it worth the praise.

So, this is actually the first game I have ever paid money to buy. My family isn't that well off so I don't usually buy games. The first time I watched Hades, I felt like electricity was passing through me. The art, the visuals, the AMAZING music, it was one of the coolest things I had ever seen. I haven't played this game much at all honestly, barely 50 hours total, but I guarantee that the feeling of euphoria I got listening to the the whole ost after playing the game for these few hours was literally orgasmic, and well worth the price. Even if I don't play the game much because I completely suck at it, this music and feeling will forever be in my heart. I love you supergiant games, thank you for this piece of art.
Play well and have grand Orphic journey through Hell as Zagreus! 💪❤❤
Just a recommendation in the case that you'd like to buy something when you have the opportunity and obviously doing to support the developers. G2A and Cdkeys are usually my go-to for discounts. I know the feeling all to well on not being able to buy anything, so a big part of my life I was in the same shoes.
I know that feeling man. Enjoy the game
@@Besnada G2A and CDkeys are actually grey market sellers. I understand that when you're in a difficult financial situation, you might be looking for the best deal possible. However, keep in mind that by using these, you're most probably not supporting the developers of the game, just the re-seller of the key.
Steam regional pricing has us covered for the most part; I was better off converting G2A balance to Steam
I can totally imagine an animated series for this game. Hope you have the success that you deserve.
Absolutely! I’d love a Hades anime akin to the masterpiece that was Castlevania.
Yes...i was thi king the exact same thing...it would be so amazing
@SSJ It would be different though... the art ist different and the vibe is more personal in the game. You could actually do totally different episodes. Some of them were Zag dies at the end. More of a mix between fantasy, comedy, action and relations. It doesn't have to be one storyline.
Should check out Blood of Zeus on Netflix. Heard it was good and it's set in the Greek mythological world.
My desire is Live Action, not animated. Chaos irl would be amaaaaazing.

The first time I beat Hades' first stage I was so f**king hyped that when the second stage started I almost cried. If I had to use a situation as an example of an emotional rollercoaster, this would be it.

I remember listening to ancient Greek music, a long time ago. And I remember reading mythology avidly. And then 15 years later I stumbled on Hades. Everything was so accurately Greek, but just a bit distorted, finely put together in the form of a game. But then, I remember thinking a game cannot reach the same levels as the mythological lore they get inspired from.
I was so wrong. The game is so deep, so beautiful, it has so much content. The graphics and the music are so amazing... The roguelite mechanics make the narration so great... I never thought the true spirit of mythology would sprout out again in a video game! But it's still so fresh and modern! You guys have really done the greatest job imaginable, I haven't been impressed like that in quite a while...
Thank you, Supergiant, you guys are legends.
I agree, it's a wonderfully human re-telling of a lot of the mythos, they really knocked it out of the park in marrying gameplay and narrative. I still get a rush of adolescent "yeah up yours, Dad" whenever I clear a run. As much as he's a little shit, Zagreus is a fun character to relate to.
Do you have any ancient greek music recommend?
I remember listening to Ancient Greek music in Ancient Greece...
The music for primordial chaos really captures the essence of “the land of the creator” and “beyond our mental grasp” and I love it

I really want an animated series for this game. It could literally be the same exact story as it’s written in the game and I would watch the shit out of it.
I would absolutely watch it too - and yet I can't help but think that it's the repetition of the game, doing the same thing over and over and experiencing it differently each time to finally get to the "end," that makes the story meaningful. That feeling would be tough to get across in an anime. (But I'd still totally watch it.)

But I love that people enjoy it, and I loved the game, so...
For a year as strong as this one, in regards to music and art, this is deffinetely the best I've heard. I'm listening to this every day and I still find new things to like in it. And I'm still playing the game every day. Supergiant - you guys rock.
Just beat this game with my son and it is an absolute masterpiece.... great job Supergiant! Was not expecting such an amazing soundtrack on top of a solid game.
bro I literally LIVED for the 1 note played at 7:08 in Tartarus rooms. idk why its so good, but its such a clean finisher that sounds awesome at any part in the track
Finally started playing it today and absolutely loved it. This was my first supergiant game and I can definitely see why they have such a great reputation. Everything from music, art style, gameplay, voice acting (which I found later is first time for any of their game so far) was excellent. And I am enjoying the story and funny dialogues as well.
I mean as soon as 'House of Hades' started playing I just knew I am in for something special. You guys rock! 🙌
Good timing! Waiting for the full OST release on Spotify now =)
Keep an eye out this weekend, thank you for your interest!
@@supergiantgames What about Deezer ? :'(
@@icearth526 Deezer, please!
I have bad ADHD. I played a few rounds of a game that normally holds my focus really well but, it just wasn't cutting it tonight. My skin felt off, I was fidgeting terribly, and just could not settle. I flicked through about half my playlists on Spotify that normally work well enough. It helped, but I was still tense and just uncomfortable.
So I turned to youtube and stumbled upon this in my recommended. Immediate relief. I can't tell you why but it works like a charm. I can relax and my thoughts are no longer buzzing painfully. Thank you so much.
In The Blood still gives me goosebumps.
real
Anyone else feel that big sense of relief when hearing the charon theme
Until you decide to "borrow" some money off him anyway...
I have not played game in a while (parenting and stuff) but your game made me play for 8 hours straight. Yesterday i got the ending and Wow ! I have never felt like that for a videogame.
Thx supergiant for your work. You got a life customer of your products.
I've never played the game but this ost hits hard. Makes me want to play the game
i really really recommend you to play hades ^_^
Just bought the game and I am enjoying every bit of it. Awesome artwork, voices so well mixed and mastered and bro this soundtrack is fire. Thanks for the good work.
I was so torn apart between Hades and FF7R winning the GOTY, unfortunately neither of them did. But it pleases me so much that this game was up there competing against the giants of the industry. Like their bio states, this game brought joy and creativity into my life. Just like when I sat in front of my CCTV and PS1 back in the mid 90's and played games I truly loved as a kid. You, supergiant games, gave me so much hope for the future of the industry. Thank you.
Still hurts knowing Hades's VA didn't get the reward for best performance, though. 😥
Didn't it win?
Ahh, only best Action & Indie of 2020 ~ definitely should've won best music
Huge soundtrack. A lot of mixing between some kinda thematic "old" Greek tunes with some tool style riffs in off timings. Its great
Just like the Tool, yep.
AYO HADES II HAS BEEN ANNOUCED!! MORE GOD-LIKE LEGENDARY SONGS FROM DARREN LETS FUCKING GOOOOOO
Never before had this kind of music integrate this masterfully in a video game. I don't think any amount of words can do justice to this masterpiece of a soundtrack. Been listening to this since it came out. Simply speechless.
Only played for about 6 hours so far but its incredible, the ost, the visuals, the gameplay. Supergiant are such an incredible group of developers, consistent masterpieces
12:56 That guitar makes defeating Meg incredibly epic
I was trying to describe this combination of musical genres and instruments to a group of people who hadn't played the game, and I landed on the phrase "Mythological Metal." Whatever you call it, it's great music to create by.
The biggest genre I would pin to this is stoner rock
darren described it as ""Mediterranean prog rock Halloween".
@@milovanovicmatija lol, I can hear that for sure. But most stoner rock that I've heard doesn't use a theremin or a bouzouki. Maybe I've been listening to the wrong bands.
@@abigailw7146 that sums it up pretty well!
This game has become my favorite game of them all in less than a single month.
Great job on making this absolute masterpiece
Always wait at the menu for the song to play and finish. Builds up the hunger to slay.
This feels like the result of giving Apollo an electric guitar and I love it so much!
The whole soundtrack is amazing. I cannot describe it, it almost feels eerie. It's like a mix of sounds I wouldn;t expect to hear together but they all work together in harmony, producing a sound I never knew I needed.
Hades OST is unbelievable. I believe it will be praised for many decades to come!
Well done to everyone who worked on this amazing and unforgettable OST.
Ashley Barret's voice is warm honey to my ears
All of the Supergiant soundtracks are just amazing. What great work, you all.
When the Unseen Ones track starts playing during the REDACTED fight, my blood just starts pumping even harder, you can feel the adrenaline! It really gives you strength imo even after many victories against REDACTED. Love this game, so much!
On the Coast and the story associated with it in the game brought me to tears.
Hades Devs being the real ones by posting the whole soundtrack to CZcams AND not having ads
No ads and making this AMAZING ost available on CZcams. Thanks! Have the switch and Xbox versions of the game and listen to this everyday during work - Hades taking over and I'm ok with that
coming back and listening to this when you know hades two is coming out hits different
Hades 2 is coming out? I'm officially doomed.
Back to bask in the awesomeness post-Hades 2 reveal.
Well, games haven't been working for me as a form of relax for a while.. Until I have found this masterpiece. This game bring me back the joy I can feel while playing game, this happiness and feel that I WANT TO PLAY MORE AND MORE. This is so good to have this feeling back. Hades is one of those game I must have 100% complet. Thank you for that Supergiant games, your game is this what I can call art. I could pay any.. ANY money for this
Thank you for always uploading the soundtracks!
Oh this is absolutely INCREDIBLE! Thank you for this Supergiant!
This is not just a game. This is art.
Darren Korb knows his way around a mandolin and I absolutely love him for it.
This game is so beautiful, the amount of attetion to detail on everything, the soundtrack, the art, the gameplay, the story. I just love it.
I'm so glad that you have this on CZcams!! I typically don't care for game soundtracks but this game is an exception for me. I'll have to purchase this.
Also, I already have Hades on my Switch but I feel obsessed enough to also get a copy for my Steam account!
