Wait how does a gsx8r have 72 horse power and a gsxr 750 have 120 horsepower. I thought the 8 stood for 800cc and would have my horsepower then the gsxr 750???
Hard-core in-line 4 sport bike riders Won’t like this comment, but this bike is enough to keep you happy on the street and the track and that’s coming from a guy who rides a GSX-R750 if I didn’t already have an awesome bike, I would buy this one, I think it’s going to do well this year in Moto America
@@AlmostLakai94 the 8R is $3,000 less than the 750 & although I’ve never ridden one I’m sure it’s perfect for street or occasional track days, definitely way more comfortable and more practical for STREET riding, I would definitely buy this bike if I were in the market
@@jimmansi9046 I did a little more research after I asked and realized the 750 isn't like the 650s and has much more race positioning lol. Definitely leaning towards this instead at least til I'm more comfortable on sport ish bikes 😂
@@AlmostLakai94 I’m 62 & still love my 750, you just get used to the position. I do keep myself in great shape and do 3 or 4 track days a yr. I think you would love either bike
As much as I really dislike the front end of the 8S, that sports fairing makes this look a bit more presentable. Think I'd certainly consider sticking with Suzuki with this as an option!
Does this bike sit more upright than your traditional gsxr? Seems like the bars are a bit higher. I have a bad back and I can’t do the traditional sport bike position.
I thoughy this bike was awesome but 75 hp from 800cc?!? 75hp is great but thats only a few off the sv650 and thats....well thats an sv650 ie damn near perfect.
Evotech must have read my comments... those ant like antennas for mirrors can now be junked, mirror blanking plates are now available...they ruin the look of the bike...now someone make a nice tail tidy, somewhere, half between standard and where every other is at on the market at the moment, factory is too long, all the others do not look right!
Hepco Becker...rear rack, rear seat luggage plate, tank tag options, even crash bar options... already getting nearly 200miles to the tank dry(175 safely),only the stand and cruise to come, and no doubt McCruise are on that right now?
75hp. Is that all. I have a 1985 Honda cbx750 that does 93hp. A 2011 FZ8 that does 105hp. I’d have thought around 100hp was a good number for a balanced bike.
if you didnt know you would never guess gsx8 motor is under 85hp. It pulls like a train and is faster than my old bandit 1200 100hp at least till 180kmh
@@thisguy8100dont look only into spreadsheets and test one. You would be surprised how strong this engine is and well it corners and mainly breaks. Love the sv650 but in my country a 8s costs only 1500more and is miles away in terms of quality suspension parts, brakes and technology. Would buy a new sv650 in a heartbeat if the cost was not more than 6500eur.
Over engineered for reliability... go to the NW200 in Ireland, just watch how fast the SuperTwins go for 30mph exiting York Corner to the top of the hill...unbelievable pick up,and go
This bike is disgusting. 75hp at the tire is a beginner bike, not a middleweight. Also, its disgusting because its a Suzuki. Needs 3-4 cylinders. Get a real bike, not a budget twin.
Loving the "mad scientist" hairdo Adam.
Picking mine up on Saturday
does it pop up pretty easy bro?? lowkey want the gsxr 750 for that purpose hahaha
Gsxr 750 is gonna be way more power but probably less torque, also way less comfortable haha @@batmotontiktok
Did you get it broh? How is it?

The only draw back is it has the Gixxer name without sounding like a Gixxer.
Which of the two would you choose if you were buying a new one and didn't have either? The 750 is tempting as well lol

Paint it in Suzuki, Yoshimura red,the stacked h'lights resemble the SERT Endurance bikes, the likes of the Suzuka 8hr,Le Mans or the Bol d'Or?
Suzuki hit it out of the park with this one.
I like the looks
Looks like Adam took the Livewire for a spin.
Would not trade my gsx s750z for it. 114 hp to the rear tire.
More like 99HP to the wheel
Go on do another top 5 on the same bike 😂
the soundtrack is amazing, whats the song?

I sat on one today, it's definitely more upright, if you have a Suzuki shop nearby you should give it a try !
Just got that exact one today
Good job Suzuki! I wish I could buy it, but I’ll keep my Aprilia RS660.
The Jakezer.
The bars are set too high, it makes the ride feel like a naked

What are calling those handle bars?
Clip ons?
Sort of. Based on the arrangement, I think they are clip-ons but being that high they offer the same position as a classic handlebar.
It's a decent girls bike.
A GT version on this platform would be great. Bigger tank, center stand, luggage option

I’m not a Suzuki fanboy, but they knocked it out of the park with the 8R!
I’m not sure which is worse the hair or the glasses
Looks like they are taking power away from bikers my touring machine is 120bhp new sports is 72 bhp😂😂😂 is this a joke
How much does your touring machine weigh?
My issue is that there is no way it handles aswell as an sv650 but it has almost the same peak power
