    Tile floors are tacky, and not considered updated or nice in California. Add to this maybe open decks, leaves and SNAKES. In California there are not really decks. We have concrete covered patios mostly. And LEAVES. If you have deciduous trees, you will have to mulch them regularly each fall with your new riding lawnmower. You may have never had one but the yards can be big here. Set aside $ for that. If you don’t stay on top of your leaves here you might be inviting venomous COPPERHEAD SNAKES. I have found 11 in my badly neglected yard since I moved here 3.5 months ago. Nice video.

    Ok , I’ve been devouring some of your videos , love them , we live in Fl and we are considering moving to GA
    Spend some time in Dawsonville area couple months ago , I do hvac for a living and my company is part of Cool Ray located in Marietta , for loan purposes so I need proof that I’m part of the same company , even if the company names are different , they own companies all over from Fl to Arizona , and second is Buford or Woodstock a decent commute to Marietta for example
    Thanks , hopefully at some point you can help us find our new home

    1 story ranch was my goal. Most of these ranch homes are very boxy. I’m looking for more open concept

      Don’t give up. They are out there. I just got one. It was built in ‘80 but remodeled to be open.

    Why aren't the walls insulated, it still helps with keeping the house cool during the Summer months?????

    Hi Sarah, quick question. For a home that has an unfinished basement, is that considered as part of the value of a home for purposes of appraisal or is it just the finished/livable areas that matter?

    • @MovingtoGeorgia
      @MovingtoGeorgia  Před rokem +1

      Great question. An unfinished basement usually adds around $15-20k in value whereas a finished basement will add $30-40k depending on level of finishes,etc. Yes, a home on an unfinished basement will sell for more than a home without.

    • @anthonybanks2092
      @anthonybanks2092 Před rokem

      @Moving to Georgia I'm guessing that's because the unfinished basement is like a blank portrait which leaves it open for the buyer to do whatever they want?

    You forgot to mention you need to buy your own refridgerator for your house.

      Yes, especially in a new construction. Resale homes are 50/50 on if the seller is leaving the current refrigerator. Thanks for watching.
