really enjoyed this Jason. Unique and fascinating!
Thank you.
Amazing photos... Lots of work, but great results.
Thank you, but Tony did all the work. I just have the ability to take us anywhere.
Nice set-up, and looks like an awesome site!
We loved it. We filmed another one at a different and and are looking at taking the jeep to the top of a volcano for even darker skies.
I am looking to move to south Arizona. Land has me stumped. Your power concerns could probably be streamlined. I charge a mini deep cycle battery charged with a solar panel by day. Would you use a similar Celestron Astromaster ?
Since we filmed this episode, Tony has purchased a larger power source that now last through the night. I would love to get a setup like his, but I am more focused on building out the Jeep so we can head deeper into the wilderness :)
@@JasonYoder You might like a squarish 100 watt solar panel. It cuts down your motor time and can run not only computers, but a 12 volt chest freezer. They're cheap , now. I just bought one. 232 bucks. If you had a contact, I'd love to find vacant land there. No realtors....
Stanley, Arizona has only two areas of high population density. Phoenix and Tuscan. If astrophotography is what you are interested in, stay at least 100 miles from these cities. Take a look at a dark sky map and you will see why. I do not have any contacts, but most of the open land is BLM or Arizona Trust. The Trust land occasionally gets sold to fund our schools.
Hi Jason 😊if you used the technique ?
My astrophotography is limited. Tony has all the fun. I just Jeep us out to the middle of no where. We just did it again. I'll share those images in an upcoming episode.
