Hassan gets so defensive about dramas and characters played by anyone from his inner friend circle. Badzaat is an awful over-dramatised & exaggerated, senseless drama but because it has Hassan’s favourites Imran & Urwa, hence he will try no end to be defensive about it. He has never ever said why Urwa chooses similar mute roles where the girl’s character is treated like crap. Come on Hassan….have the guts to criticise your friends and their choices as well just like you do to others.
Amna, you're right about Mehru's character giving out maternal vibes towards Mahir but I think this is because Mahir's exposure to love is 'romantic' only (in form of Zoya's character) and Hadiqa's exposure to love has only been 'maternal' (in form of Affan & Minal). I think since that's the only exposure to love they've had in their lives, it reflects in their character.
I had such high hopes for Dobara & I used to praise the makers for choosing & backing this story, which is kind of unconventional premise to be shown on Pakistani TV (as far as I know), but it seems that they are trying to ruin it for everyone just for the sake of monetary gain. Like seriously, why is it that when the drama is running so well and the viewers are starting to like it, the makers will seize that opportunity and start stalling & dragging the story unnecessarily to make more money. I believe, they are still underestimating the viewers that they wont notice when a story is being stalled or dragged, but they are totally wrong, because the viewers now are quite aware and much more intelligent. I hope soon Dobara will get back on track and pick up the pace that we saw in earlier episodes. It is a good story and I really want to see how it advances ahead!
Badshah Begum has a Netflix-like feel and has the appeal to draw a wider audience. As sex and violence are two very strong themes for Netflix shows of such ilk, it'll be interesting to watch how BB evolves within the constrictions of the drama platform. A Lot of room for creativity exists, hope it lives up to the hype and we remain interested in all the characters' arc. Badzaat feels like an Amanat 2.0. Then I realized it's specifically designed for the 8 pm audience who expect a dream world with zero reality. Unfortunately it excludes me. Pass
Yeah hard pass on badzaat. GEO has lost it imo. Only one or two good dramas a year. ARY also has the same problem. Hum tv is the only hope for our industry
Hassan’s excitement about SRK is so cute! A suggestion for the show: when any show ends, can you please do a final review, keeping in mind the entire show? Your reviews per episodes are amazing but we’d like to know your final thoughts about the series as a whole, as opposed to just the final episode. For many of us who might watch the show once all the episodes are out, it would be great help!
Good suggestion. I watch their reviews and then decide if I want to watch a drama or not. And a final yay or nay after the whole drama ends like you suggest would be so nice !!
Honestly the first episode of "Badshah Begum" was okay. Zara and Ali donot look university students. If anything it put me off to watch them act like one. The whole sister rivalry where two girls fight for a man, is such a cheap plot point. I don't know why it's added or what it contributes to the story. Some rich people fighting for a non existent "gaddi" is also jarring, I mean you are already rich why fight for something minor? Why did Yasir had smudged eye-shadow under his eye? Just to show he is evil? It was just okay episode to be honest, I'm honestly let down by it.
Gandhi is not something minor, my dear, it’s a money printing machine, plus power. They are rich because of that business of gadhi nashini. It’s the throne of the empire.
@@mahnoorqureshi3281 What I mean by minor is, these people must have generational wealth. Gadhi must be important, ofcourse but these younger generation must have other life motives won't they? I assume these are Syeds so they're telling me all Syeds care about is gadi and just care of all of this?
@@teadrinker1260 It’s a dynasty. In reality, despite studying and living abroad, they are conservative to the extent that they don’t even marry outside their family and Zaat, leading to serious genetic medical problems in children. I don’t want to take names but there is a rich Syed family like that. Similarly, these peers, gadhi nasheens, they are conservative for their mureeds in their native rural areas, but opposite while living abroad. As far as the name Syed and Qureshi is concerned, although I am a Qureshi myself, but I always laugh and joke with my husband about his Qureshi family. My mom’s uncle settled in Saudi Arabia before partition, married there. Whenever his wife visited Pakistan she used to say, “I wonder how all Quresh and Syed moved to Pakistan because there are non in Saudi Arabia”. 😂
@@teadrinker1260 These people are nothing without the gadhi. They’ll lose everything, power, money. They may become industrialists, come into politics, but their identity is gadhi nasheeni. Look at Shah Mahmoud Qureshi when he is in his native land.
@@teadrinker1260 There is no superior, inferior zaat in islam. In fact, Islam does not believe in zaats. It’s only in Pakistani that one is considered pious due to their zaat.
Badshah Begum opened impressively. Looks like a strong script dealing with realistic issues, the actual dark side of peeri mureedi, the most lucrative business in Pakistan, and the struggle to get the ‘ Gadhi’, which is like a throne. Multiple marriages, with multiple heirs and their animosities and clashes due to the gadhi. A Dynasty ruling through a system of creating fear, and manipulation. Badshah Begum would turn out to be more powerful than Sang e mah which is mainly based on a fantasy world. This drama, in comparison would be more fierce and explosive and larger in scale. Looking forward to the dominion of female badshah of the Gadhi, Tahkt, Throne.
@@saniyakhan3110 Sister rivalry is a minus. I only hope it exposes the reality of these peers and gadhi nashini, how they manipulate people, exploit religion and rule through fear. But you are right, shouldn’t expect much. Sang e mah looked very strong in teasers too, turned out to be just an interesting watch with little reality.
@@saniyakhan3110 Peeri mureedi is very deep rooted in Pakistan. They have blind followers who are willing to die for them. Very young girls are given in marriage to even a 80 year old peer. They are rich and powerful, and are in politics too. Our First Lady is a peerni, gadhi nasheen. Her son was caught drunk, driving with friends. They are hypocrites, and spread biddahs and all sorts of unislamic rituals for their own survival and business. They prostrate in front of graves and their mudeers do sajda in front of them. They are feudals with the same mentality. Their mureedi are like their slaves.
@@saniyakhan3110 Ali Rehman Khan is the only flaw in Badshah Begum, why does he keep choosing average roles after having spent a decade in the industry I fail to understand. I feel this drama is slightly far from reality and has a fantasy feel. Loving it regardless
I might be the only one but in the first episode of Badzaat I found Imran Ashraf lacking in his performance. His expressions are on point but the dialogue delivery to me seemed fake and over the top. Idk maybe I want the hero to be a normal person not one who has to say everything with a dramatic flair.
Thts the thing about imran ashraf Too dramatic diaolg delivery Character de do to wo bhot acha krte h..jaise bhola But normal insan ka krna ho to i dont know ki unko kya ho jata h..quite annoying acting krte h wo Mujhe kaafi dafa lgta h ki unki acting rajesh khanna ji se inspired h Unko improve krna chahiye iss ko
@@mamanain wo hi na Characters acha kr lete h wo..but normal logo ki acting nhi kr pate Jhatke de ke bolna ya tone me neeche se upar leke jana voice thts what he does..
Hassan torturing himself with watching Amanat just for the sake of audience is commendable 😁😁😁😆😆😅 and then reviewing in full detail😂 Amna describing the side hustles of Daayi in Ae mushte khak😀 shutarmurgh ki farming and tajar Union 😆😆😆
Unfortunately Badshah Begum was a bit underwhelming! The direction and the camera work didn’t do justice to the whole vibe and plot of the drama; there were a couple scenes if shot properly would have been a treat to watch i.e., when that man was being drowned, the face off between yasir and ferhan when they were hunting ( the dialogues in that scene were also just weird, abrupt and didnt have the required impact either). There was something missing and made the watch not enjoyable enough for me to not skip through it.
Yup. Too loud and in the face, mediocre acting by some, no depth in dialogues with unnecessarily long pauses. Too many big actors but not utilised to their potential. Good plot not handled well at all.
Badshah begum had a fantastic first episode. Everyone’s acting was great but kudos to Saman Ansari especially. She has completely fit in the role of Badshah begum. It’s also very evident that Khizer Idrees is the director because the execution is so unique and youthful just like it was in Laapata. So nice to see an unconventional story which such a different cast as well. Dobara: it was an ok episode with some minor developments but we need the story to pick up the pace now. Aye musht e khaak: so many confusing moments this week. Why does Dua agree to meet Bobby if she’s a non mahram now? I don’t understand the scope of religiosity they show in these dramas. At one end she’s literally studying Islam and can never stop preaching in every scene. And now she hops in a car with her violet, alcoholic ex husband?? Where’s the logic? Also, that scene where Feroze kinda freaks out in front of his mom and says whatever he said - his worst performance to date. It was so unbelievably over the top that I was cringing throughout. They just love showing women submitting to “love” when it’s really just a toxic man who can’t take no for an answer. Badzaat: Imran ashraf was of course great. That beginning scene where he envisions his past was wonderful. Saba Faisal is always amazing as well. But then it kinda falls apart with Urwa. With credit to Siraj ul Haq and his oh so favourite dreamy 8 pm dramas, this is one of Urwas worst performances. This director really loves giving us star plus vibes lol. Hopefully he toned it down later on
On point re aye must e khak,Dua is now seemingly a hypocrite re her faith, as she doesn’t create a boundary between herself and Hamza! It’s quite outrageous even for me, who is not of your faith!
@@gerryburntwood9617 yeah it seems so out of character! Someone who has learned about Islam on a professional level and literally cannot stop preaching in each and every scene is acting so unreligious if that makes sense. Her dupatta comes on and off in front of non mehrams and it’s just all over the place
Aamna cant agree more. Wali could have been Zaid Ahmed. He has that aura. Also his baritone, velvet voice ufff. Imran's gol gol face is too cute for the rough tough , angry young man. hahahah
Two fascinating things about Badshah Begum are the perfect balance of rural/urban and unapologetic characters (specially Yasir Hussain and Abul Hassan, Farhan Saeed not so much). Direction is also a plus point. Coming to Zara, her wardrobe was not of a university student. For God sake there is a difference between getting ready for University and getting ready for Eid. Sister rivalry is also a bit off. Otherwise the story has so much potential. Looking forward to it!!
Your SRK Moment is so cute! That’s how I felt when you responded to my DM And then a week later……none other than our very own Hilmand AKA Atif Aslam responded!!! Ahhhh that feeling is ♥️
Ishq e laa actually is a spin off of "yakeen ka safar" Same treatment of story with a bit of azaan's journey to faith n belief.. Yakeen ka safar bhi medical college pe based tha jisme protagonist doctor bnna chahti hoti h..mushkilo se lddke wo medical school me jaa pati h..yks me sajal ka character bhi aise hi ek ldke se preshan rhta h jo ki ussko baad tak haunt krta h yja abid ka character h Same ussme ek social issue uthaya tha about thru lawyers..ussme lawyer ka murder ho jata h ache cause ke liye ldne ke liye Yha ishq e laa me journalist ka murder ho jata h good cause ke liye Yks me hira n ahad preshan hote rhte h murder ke baad yha bhi azka n family preshan hote dikhaye h Ishq e laa is nothing but a spin off of yks..
Yakeen ka safar was an amazing drama, well executed, and I loved all the hospital scenes, and also the whole issue about the characters so marred by the death of their brother who was set up as a rapist!Ahad was amazing in his Asfandyar role from a cool guitar playing carefree lad into a very serious, disciplined committed Doctor running valuable health services in the rural region! The different storyline was well developed and each character was rounded and believable! From Hira and Mani, to Sajals famiky, and her being duped by that boy, and rejected by her family, , even the specialist couple working with Asfandyar were so natural, and relatable people, Ishq a La is nothing of the sort, it’s doesn’t even have the power to grip its audience nor any character relatable, whereas in YKS, the characters were relatable! There were many lesson and messages in this YKS, about women’s lot, the abuse of that girl who later went to school to study, the rural gangsters, the rural setting was fabulous, and so calming!
Ae Musht e Khaak: Queen of Islam who gives sermons to everyone on how they are lesser mortals if not as religious as her, Miss Dua doesn't seem to know the concept of na-mehram which even me, an Indian Hindu knows through years of watching Pakistani dramas. She's such a horribly written character.
After watching pilot episode of Badshah Begum (BB) & Badzaat, my pick would be BB. The premise and the characters appears to be intriguing. Besides the established actors, the new actors also performed well. Let's see how the story unfolds!
Dobara: I believe that wherever he was telling Mehru to call her son and not leave her children because of him was sincere because he himself has gone through all of this and does not want another parent to neglect their children like he was. Moreover, we shall also not forget that Mahir is not always speaking pretentiously to stay in Mehru's good books( at least I would like to believe that) because she, besides being Mahir's wife has also had a frank dynamic with him as friends. They were actual friends who shared each other's sorrows and happiness, much before they got married. Moreover, as much as I hate that Mahir is actually being untruthful to Mehru and how lightly he is taking her for granted, the harder he will fall and get the shock of realization that Mehru has been residing in his heart from long before. I really liked the development of the Bahu and Susar relationship and it was shown very naturally too. It all felt satisfying in the viewer's heart deeply when Mehru helps Jahangir in walking and showing concern. Seriously cannot avoid how Attractive and Exquisite Hadiqa Kiani has been looking throughout this drama. I have also seen the teaser where Mahir will actually be talking to Babar about how he has realized that Mehru is actually so loving and devoted to him which he wasn't expecting. I wish the drama shows more of Mehry and Mahir's chemistry, but the stroking of hair was 2x amplified in this episode compared to the last 2 episodes which were really disappointing. I wish Mehru has held his hand close to her own face or sat close to him on the bed or rested her head on his chest would have been a more loving and intimate gesture than stroking his head throughout the past 3 episodes. it almost feels like Mehru is obsessed with Mahir's hair volume or hairstyle. I remember vividly how on their wedding night, she initiated by stroking his hair for the first time and this has continued ever since then.
I dont get why in our communities half brothers and sisters where they share one parent its always stated as step brother/sister or soteli behn bhai? Its not correct. They share a parent so its half brother or sister. We need a word in urdu/punjabi for it. Its not just. A step brother or sister is with whom's one parent has married your one parent.
Badzaat looked totally filmy, melodramatic and fake, but, still I want to watch it.😀Would provide good roasting material to Amna, Hassan. 😄 Another 8 pm, larger than life, OTT fantasy for viewers. 🙃I liked the beginning scene, though, hero going around the old house, and his backstory shown as flashbacks. Urwa’s character is cute, kind of funny.
They need to stop showing this pitty innocent stupid girl aura....noone like her exist especially with all pinpoint makeup and dressing and open hair....unless shwo complete simple girl like yumna in dar si jati hai sila.....please stop
First, Hasan jee your knowledge about animals is amazing. Dove is a fakhta in Urdu. As for Turkey, it is called feel Murgh, wherein feel from Arabic means Elephant and Murgh means bird. So considering its size and since its a fowl that's an apt name. My grandma's house was in Saddar Lahore, and near Lal Kurti was a poultry farm. She kept chickens so we would visit the poultry farm sometimes to get the feed from there. They had Turkeys and that was the first time I saw the bird. They told me it was a Perrhoo, like in perrha the mithai. So I think it may be a slang in Punjabi for it Badshah Begum: Loving it so far. After total turn offs like Mein aisi kion hoon, Amanat, Mohabbat dagh ki soorat, Ibn-e-hawwa which can drive anybody to insanity out of sheer frustration, this one is very welcome. I can already see the different threads and looking forward to the interweaving. Loving the cast, the premise, and the background score. Badzaat: Interesting so far. I am not impressed by Urwa's acting at all so far. Hopefully the drama will pick some steam on the way. Interesting watch though.
that SRK fan moment at the beginning had me smiling the entire time. I love him so much and Hassan I TOTALLY get how happy you must be, its so cute how you said mera ek bhai hai (referring to his tweet) YOURE SOO LUCKY, I hope I meet him once before I die
First we watched drama Now we see the production quality, camera shots, dissect the character , become opinionated , became critics….. 🥰WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO US HASSAN AND AAMNA 🥰
In Badzaat, I don't know if you guys noticed or not but after Urwa comes home from shopping with her cousins, and her mom looks at the dresses she bought ...one of the dresses she got ( the one her mom tells her to try on) was the exact same yellow dress she was wearing when she was on the train and afterwards.....
Dobara - classic case of stretching a drama. Episode 18 and 19 could've been condensed together. I don't think it was beykar like Aamna's saying - just slow. Characters are becoming dark. Hope pace picks up, and doesn't become too saazishy.
Ae musht e khaak - mustajaab is stalker and they are promoting stalker behaviour, as far as Duaa is considered she is shown to be religious but somehow her demeanour is so frank with Taki and Mustajab( after divorce also).
Loving and enjoying the drama Aye Musht E Khaak from my whole heart❤️.....and its Mustajab's character is the most intriguing part of the show,he keeps us hooked what he is trying to do or going to do.......I loved Feroze's performance.. He is tooo good..brilliant in his craft!absolutely amazing performance by him!...there is going to be a tragic consequence for Mustajab for sure!definitely, his downfall is written..but I feel..he is not going to kill anyone!he just cant, he is aggressive&egoistic obviously can play mind games but he is not criminal minded,..yes there is a chance to lose his dearest one's like shaqeela or experience someone's death infront him that will lead him towards the real path of faith, and the last thing he is doing all fake..but..it will definitely have an impact on him!he will going to recite qalma next week!! So very very excited!!
Actually badshah begum reminded me bit of of ullu baraye farokht nahin by premise. Urban/Rural thing is not a new thing like you suggest, i think. This has been done more convincingly in other dramas like UBFN and Mera Sayein. Execution of this one was just ok. Not like the masterpieces i just mentioned at all. Overall, BB was extremely boring until badshah begum apears and the most weird thing happens leaving me stunned. I have seen a lot of crap on our television but nothing beats this scene. Completely lost it for me when they pointed out that the unborn child could be a male and how dare she brought a na mehram in the darbar. I mean. like seriously???? In one way, it was a mockery of the entire concept of pardah. wildly exaggerated, and so disturbing that i decided to drop a comment. Atleast badzaat didnot make me puke this way although it seems like another toxic romantic love story with a guy having trust issues and the woman trying to live upto his expectations. And this YRF factor of trains and urtay huay dupattay ain’t gonna work for Pakistani audience. We much prefer the fight sequence of bubbly badmash on the train. Also, It wouldve been interesting if the heroine was more than eye candy, Haye mien mar gae types. But she is like mujhe police kai hawaly kardena :/ matlab had hai
Ullu baraye farokht nahin was such an engaging drama with phenomenal cast and acting. I don't think BB can reach upto that level in any way except the Haveli 😄
Aesa real mein hota hey, pregnant woman ko permission nhi aesi bibion k pas jaany ki, 😕 boht jahaalt hey, logic ka door tk taluq nhi aesy traditions sey
for me Badshah Begum wasn't impressive at all. All over the place, many scenes were cut short and seemed like small pieces are joined haphazardly. Too much over acting. I know the genre is unconventional but come on! feet cutting scene was shamelessly cruel. The scene between Farhan Saeed and Saman Ansari was badly executed. He comes inside her room and closes the door like he wants to talk in privacy and completely ignores the woman standing inside next to him! then Saman shouted without any reason in the middle of the dialogue. so many other flaws but yes it has been hyped already so lets see how it unfolds.
Its Mrs and Mr Shameem not Mr and Mrs Shameem . If you didn't notice you'll smile after knowing it . Its like the last piece of puzzle that summed up the trailer for you . 😀
An actor is known by the character he plays and not by looks and doesn’t matter if is hero material…. I sometimes think you guys are bit bias about people with good looks…
Not really..everything matters. And for screen presence specially big screen there should be hero material. And as far as feroze is concerned he is Matchless in khaani, havent watched KAM3 thoroughly but few scenes 3/4 jo dekhi us mn jo usky expressions hn wo yahan male actors k kam hi dekhne ko milte hn. Feroze's expressions game is very high.its just that drama is executed well or not.
@A if a person has everything but he keep portraying same kind of character which keep trolling girls and keep making life miserable doesn’t make him a good actor. A person who can portray different characters is considered as a good actor…. For example AHMED ALI AKBAR, Bilal Abbas Khan, Ahsan Khan and few others….
Yes Aamna is right I think even i feel duaa will die by accidentally & mustajab will have this guilt in his heart for life that he has lost her forever & he will reform then & become the next imam in the masjid in remembrance of duaa..
Yei to dukh hy itna handsome feroz khan. Third class serials back to back krra without break😭😭😭😭 break ly ly thori deir ky lia phr hum ye ary py kisi strong script mn aye or ek normal insan bn ky 🤪🤪🤪
Hi Hassan and Amanah # Badhsa begum is a character of a women who is I guess supposed to not allowed to get married as badsha begum, that will eventually lead Zara to become Badsha begum and not allowed to live a normal life, So Saji being my NCA class fellow and a good friend, he is very talented and always writes in depth, m sure he will not disappoint us, whole premise looks very strong and high budget
I have not watched badzaat but by watching your review i can assume that it will become a high rated drama (like many other geo dramas) but it will not make sense to the sensible audience because of writing and direction. On the other hand, badshah begum has strong premise, direction and it is feeling good to watch because of (as you said) fresh locations. Shortly, i have not found many loop holes in badshah begum unlike badzaat so far.
Badshah begum for me off the bat was very impressive. The production and the ost are very phenomenal. I like that it’s finally a different kind of story that we get to see. Looking forward to watching this serial every week!
I think you guys should do Haute Bites on ratings. Because despite everything you say , this week too Amanat had highest TRP of 8.0 on Tuesday slot even when the much promoted drama Badshah Begum's first episode aired that time. AMEK also runs on same time.
Amanat’s star casts is great…Imran Abbas is already very popular and established actor since a long time…and his chemistry with Urwa is just awesome…and people like to watch masala in drama rather than more artistic approach. I personally enjoy watching Amanat …I enjoy my morning tea watching Amanat every week. currently, I am eagerly waiting for Imran and Urwa’s scenes together though..haven’t seen them together from last few weeks..
Dobara: Mehru's gestures were too maternal, I didn't agree with Amna last week but this week I totally agree. Also agree about Jehangir being so invested in Mehru's goodwill. Other than Mehru, all characters are conspiring & it's getting on my nerves
Disappointed with your review on dobara. Every dramas get little dragged at middle space. So It's not new. Aur do hi episode stretch kiya hain, jo nahi karna chahiye tha. I hope jaldi track pe ajaye. But I'm loving it as always. Amna don't get disheartened plz ❤️
There is nothing excited about Badzaat. However, I am sure SH will continue to review it because of its cast. The way they are roasting Amanat and the way they are reviewing the crap AMK.
Badshah Begum , Did not open with a bang . Hope the acting and and direction improve as the story seems interesting . Dobaara, was repeat of episode 18 and seems to be in a lull moment and gets its grip back . Otherwise what a waste of a good story and some good performances by lead actors . Not interested in others . The best three come on Saturday , Sunday with a double scoop of Gelato .jo Bichar Gaye, and Sang e Mah 😋
I thought it was clear that the current badshah begum is the phupho, not mother of the children. Farhan's character stands at the door of the room at first when he comes to talk to her and she tells him he can come in. It made it obvious that she was his phupho, not mother. Loved the first episode. Komal's performance was very good. Finally she's got a good role, not a damsel in distress type one. I hope the drama stays interesting and doesn't stretch needlessly. Production quality is really good. As for badzaat, I started watching it just for Imran Ashraf, I hope it doesn't disappoint me like other dramas of Geo. It was a bit ott like Geo dramas usually are but if the story stays strong, I can bear it.
I think something will happen to dua or mustajab's mom as in ost video we can see mustajab was coming from room with blood in his hand And totally agree with Hassan as this type of role didn't do justice to feroze khan
I didn't like Badshah begum because I don't like Zara Noor's acting ....One more thing have noticed that Hadiqa Kiani keeps her head tilted most of the times..idk why 😐 though she is gorgeous and beautiful And For Badzaat..i really hate Urwa's pathetic acting 😖.. Last but not the least Sang-E-Mah 🔥 Superb drama 👍hatts of to the team
Very Unpopular Opinion: Although, i did like the premise and the scale of BADSHAH BEGUM but, the first episode was below the expectations for me. Some of the scenes were very unimpactful (including the both violent scenes of Saman Ansari and Farhan Saeed), the writing seemed good but i think the execution and acting didn't combined well. However, i am looking forward to the next episode. My Rating for the FIRST EPISODE was kind of 1.5/5
9:20 , aur kya chahiye Humein hassan sahab , roj apki vedio aati rhe to kya hi baat hai 🤓,,,yours words made my day ........ab 7 din accha content dekhne ko milega 😀 Shaturmurg - peacock 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂hassan sahab kya baat hai apki Today review is wonderful 😁😁😁😁 so funny
I loved badshah begum. Looks strong, the cast, the story, the direction, the performances 👏 Badzaat: story is good but looks ott. Right from the poster, where Ali abbas is giving an evil smile. Way to be subtle man 🙌 Acha khasa the character is being built while it looks like positive character, should've kept that mystery. Plus, all the background music n that whole scene of imran's encounter with urwa was all ott. Even that flamboyant dressing of his mother. Come on. Without making someone wear such chamkeely dresses, u CAN suggest that she's been a pros****** . Anyway, on the whole this drama is ott but since the story and especially the premise of urwah n imran looks interesting so watching it.
Badshah Begum and Badzaat both were oh so underwhelming and unimpressive😪😪😪 Was so looking forward to these two dramas but I guess all they are going to provide is more roastable material to Hassan and Aamna which we all are going to thoroughly enjoy 😂😂😂
I mean Badshah Begum was okay for a first episode, but Badzaat has too much over THE TOP acting and production! This is because it's made on GEO! If it was launched on ARY or HUM TV, then there will be sutitly and it will be more pleasant to watch!!!
BADZAAT..its all filmy but i will watch it to see imran and urwa cute chemistry the way wali scared her intentionally and also to see some man to man rivalry between wali and danyal..DOBARA is on slow track and have not seen badshah begum yet..
Badzaat is perfect example of how Geo dramas are! Over dramatic for no reason! Not impressive at all….. and I find Urwa’s character too annoying! Badshah Begum is far more better interesting n intriguing
Yeah, I checked badzaat and realized Urwa’s character is way too cringey for my taste…couldn’t finish watching it…she doesn’t look the part no matter how doe-eyed she forces herself to be…she doesn’t pass for someone in her teens or early 20’s, her look is way too mature for that…like Aamna said, it becomes more of a caricature…Imran Ashraf, as usual, is overrated…cannot pull off the somber, yet cynical, brooding, yet appealing, character that he tries to portray…
I had high hopes from Badshah begum...considering the cast. However for me,the first episode failed to hook me in.The characters were over the top. They lacked subtlety. If anyone remembers Ghulam Gardish from PTV days,Starring Abid Ali,Naveed Shehazad,Amna Haq...it addressed peeri mureedi but which such an impact. The plot line was ominous and you could feel it...Where as in this one,as Hasan very correctly described, the characters, esp that of Badsha begum looked extremely caricaturised..expecially when she punished the pregnant woman and we see her crawling on the floor. Its giving me Zaibaish vibes...I hope I'm wrong!
Also, what was Yasit Hussian's eye makeup all about.I have met my fair share of Gaddi Nasheens and their kids. Some are urbanised while others are still very orthodox and raised completely in their area of gaddi, and aren't even formally educated...but no one goes around walking like that!
What is the point for affan waiting for his mom to call him and ask to come home? Will he accept maahir if she calls? Will he go home? The answer is NO, he will ask mehru to kick mahir out if she want him to return home. But wait... Why is he actually expecting her to call, even if he is her son, it doesn't mean that an attempt to kill an innocent(bazahir😜) man will be forgiven that easily. Even if mehru's decision to marry a young man was wrong, affan's attempt to try to kill maahir or even himself was more wrong, so it should not be mehru this time who will bend, we wanna see affan coming home on insistence of other people, his wife, sister, phupho.
Hasan & Aamna, I'm surprised you guys didn't point out the biggest blunder in Badzaat right from the start! Bia's entry clothes right form the train scene till the house scene was the same clothes that she later bought from the shopping mall......LMAO
Salam Hasan, Why we are continuously showing “clubbing”, “drinking” and “drugs” in our TV dramas? Also in the movies. In my opinion, this is not right for so many reasons. I can understand that all of this is now the new normal in our society. But we don’t have to promote this in our dramas and the movies. Geo exceeded my expectations with badzaat. dramatize karne ki had paar kardi. baadi mahanat ki hai poori team ne. Jiss tarah har ek scene ko paanch das minute keecha 👏👏👏 rona aagya mujhe 🌊🌊 per bhai, urwa imran ashraf ke saath bilkul acchi nahi lag rahi 🙏
Badzaat. It’s too dramatic, filmy and over the top. Too unrealistic. I can’t bring myself to watch it any further. I find Imran Ashraf’s acting same as his other dramas (apart from bhola).
"BADZAAT " #Story prediction Wali and daniyaal are rivals , wali and beea will fall in love but daniyaal will come in between not because he's in love with beea or something, it's just a part of hate game between the brothers. Daniyaal seems sweet which he's not.
it will be very kind of u if it can be explained.why in pak drama lady of the house sitting on beautiful sofa cutting veges and onoin. secondly. with hair long as horse working in kitchen. we r sick of these HAir pieces.
With due respect and sorry to say amna n hassan it seems ur guys were holding back ur real feedback on badshah begum......bcz in many scenes execution was very bad....n girls being that much urbanised calling "roshan ara " in club while her maid is calling her roshi😜
I agree...I thought would dobara they are showing older woman can marry younger guy ang and live normally...but all her intimate hand gestures started to give maternal vibes which shows woman shouldn't..disappointed
Aamna & Hassan , you both do a great job with your reviews! Even if I “conveniently” miss a drama or a few episodes I get caught up through your reviews :) However I think the advise you give out to your actors/ directors and writers not to promote a certain concept or not to show a certain type of content , applies to you as well . I think you shouldn’t spend your precious time to review such dramas that are not worth watching , for example aye mushte khaq / Amanat , Qissa meherbano ka …. This would be a good way to show that they are not worth our time and maybe such content would stop being created. As for your question : Badshah Begum : seems like a different storyline and yes I would like to watch it for now . Badzat: includes abuse and totally not interested . From the teasers it seems Ali Abbas’s character is abusive towards Urwa’s character and is going to be a painful watch . Especially more because the lead female character is shown to be extremely weak and helpless .
Yar your review of badshah begum didn't do justice to the first episode. There was no ' oh my God wow' which I think it deserved. It's refreshing to see a different drama with such strong story, direction and production. I literally had goosebumps watching the whole episode. It was whole new level.
Badshah Begum is best, different story, unique concept (at least in Pakistan), giving Game of Thrones, Ertugrul vibes. But Badshah Begum is way better than these two...
Don't know in what reference you mentioned this but yes Mah e Tamaam was such a lovely treat.....very, very underrated. And Wahaj and Ramsha were too good together.
@@homeschoolindianmom it breaks my heart when I see nearly no one who knows about Mah e Tamaam. Wahaj's portrayal as Taqi was BRILLIANT. Comic timing is NOT easy and he sailed through it like a summer breeze.........i so wish koi Mah e Tamaam ki baat karay but unfortunately it was not popular........keeping the whole family politics dynamics aside, it was such a sweet love story.........simple and heartfelt! And the chemistry between Wahaj and Ramsha was awesome.
@@mehreenmisbah9556 wahaj himself is not a fan of Taqi... He doesnt talk about Mah E tamam thats why people have forgot about it... Mah e Tamam was my 1st introduction to Wahaj... After that I watched Dil Nawaz... And then there was no way back... He is always brilliant in his every role...
@@fatimaahmed2118 yeah despite his excellent acting skills, the dude has really bad taste when it comes to his roles. He considers Hamza as one of his favorite characters and he is not a fan of Taqi.......level hota hai budzauqi ka bhi. p.s. his fans love Taqi......abhi recently at the 4th year anniversary of MeT, they posted so many vms and tributes to Taqi and Shifa and Mah e Tamaam.....the messages were really cute and heart-warming.....despite the passage of 4 years, Mah e Tamaam still has an impact over Wahaj fans (apne fans se hee achhaa taste udhaar mein lele)
Come on Hassan….have the guts to criticise your friends and their choices as well just like you do to others.
yes you're right '
Soooo true
Amna, you're right about Mehru's character giving out maternal vibes towards Mahir but I think this is because Mahir's exposure to love is 'romantic' only (in form of Zoya's character) and Hadiqa's exposure to love has only been 'maternal' (in form of Affan & Minal). I think since that's the only exposure to love they've had in their lives, it reflects in their character.
Good analysis
Badzaat is typical Geo production, and why should we hesitate in saying Imran was not very impressive in the role.
Pass
So agree re badshah begum. It's Netflix material totally

@@saniyakhan3110 Yes, but it’s for zee 5, won’t be able to watch 😕
Mahnoor by spelling it this way you're making it look like a female donkey 😖
@@saniyakhan3110 Ali Rehman Khan is the only flaw in Badshah Begum, why does he keep choosing average roles after having spent a decade in the industry I fail to understand. I feel this drama is slightly far from reality and has a fantasy feel. Loving it regardless
I might be the only one but in the first episode of Badzaat I found Imran Ashraf lacking in his performance. His expressions are on point but the dialogue delivery to me seemed fake and over the top. Idk maybe I want the hero to be a normal person not one who has to say everything with a dramatic flair.

I enjoy watching Amanat…
Agreed. Looked like every one is reading lines from book😂
Hopefully he toned it down later on
Can’t agree more. You just penned down my thoughts
Oye TOO MUCH LONG I CANT READ 😁🤭😂
On point re aye must e khak,Dua is now seemingly a hypocrite re her faith, as she doesn’t create a boundary between herself and Hamza! It’s quite outrageous even for me, who is not of your faith!
@@gerryburntwood9617 yeah it seems so out of character! Someone who has learned about Islam on a professional level and literally cannot stop preaching in each and every scene is acting so unreligious if that makes sense.

Yha ishq e laa me journalist ka murder ho jata h good cause ke liye
Yks me hira n ahad preshan hote rhte h murder ke baad yha bhi azka n family preshan hote dikhaye h
Ishq e laa is nothing but a spin off of yks..
Very intresting observation
Big failed attempt
This was the exacttttt thing on my mind tooo, but yks was amazinggggg i still watch that drama. Isqh e la on the other hand is not grabbing me so much
Yakeen ka safar was an amazing drama, well executed, and I loved all the hospital scenes, and also the whole issue about the characters so marred by the death of their brother who was set up as a rapist!Ahad was amazing in his Asfandyar role from a cool guitar playing carefree lad into a very serious, disciplined committed Doctor running valuable health services in the rural region!
Exactly 💯💯

More over she ask takki to lie ...that moment she lost all the respect for me ...more than mustajaab dua is a flawed character...
Spot on!

Imran Ashraf is going to be next 7th Sky Entertainment's Feroze Khan!
Badzaat seems so toxic.
Same. No offence to Imran But no bhae...it's seems like a same typical geo tv story!
So I think it may be a slang in Punjabi for it
Badshah Begum: Loving it so far. After total turn offs like Mein aisi kion hoon, Amanat, Mohabbat dagh ki soorat, Ibn-e-hawwa which can drive anybody to insanity out of sheer frustration, this one is very welcome. Everything is important that's why...
Exactly i noticed that too
Dobara - classic case of stretching a drama.
Badzat is officially our next guilty pleasure
Ullu baraye farokht nahin was such an engaging drama with phenomenal cast and acting.

for me Badshah Begum wasn't impressive at all.

Yeah SRK replied Hassan!!! I'm so so so happy!!!!! Lollll love SRK and Hassan ♥️♥️
Hassan, Salman Saeed's brother Humayun Saeed is producer of Amanat. Still he picked up that side role.
Modelling Eastern wear and festive couture ki bhi hoti hai, you don't necessarily have to wear revealing attires.
Yes feroze khan is a very good looking actor & his acting skills are superb..
Interview Sana Javed plz 🥺
I think something will happen to dua or mustajab's mom as in ost video we can see mustajab was coming from room with blood in his hand
And totally agree with Hassan as this type of role didn't do justice to feroze khan
For some reason Amnas mic is lower in volume then hassan. Please check this
I didn't like Badshah begum because I don't like Zara Noor's acting ....One more thing have noticed that Hadiqa Kiani keeps her head tilted most of the times..idk why 😐
though she is gorgeous and beautiful
And For Badzaat..i really hate Urwa's pathetic acting 😖..
Last but not the least Sang-E-Mah 🔥 Superb drama 👍hatts of to the team
Bradshaw Begum !!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Extremely good direction cast background music. Fantastic PK style drama.
Very Unpopular Opinion:
Although, i did like the premise and the scale of BADSHAH BEGUM but, the first episode was below the expectations for me. Some of the scenes were very unimpactful (including the both violent scenes of Saman Ansari and Farhan Saeed), the writing seemed good but i think the execution and acting didn't combined well. However, i am looking forward to the next episode.
My Rating for the FIRST EPISODE was kind of 1.5/5
Thankyou, from this Friday to next Friday...
It is a great news.
May Allah Bless you
Badsha Begham is outclass but Badzat is not good at all bcz of amna and you said its over the top and melodramtic
Love this episode!! Specially feroz khan drama
Badshah Begum has an amazing premier episode with a stellar caste and script...the soundtrack is also amazing!
9:20 , aur kya chahiye Humein hassan sahab , roj apki vedio aati rhe to kya hi baat hai 🤓,,,yours words made my day ........ab 7 din accha content dekhne ko milega 😀
Shaturmurg - peacock 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂hassan sahab kya baat hai apki
Today review is wonderful 😁😁😁😁 so funny
I loved badshah begum. Looks strong, the cast, the story, the direction, the performances 👏
Badzaat: story is good but looks ott.
When is the Daastan HauteGold coming?? Still waiting :) BTW great review as always!!
Imran ashraf is repetitive after ranjha ranjha... Tabeer and alif allah
In recent dramas he is same in all
@@rahmed5701 you are right to much over ratted. His acting is only good in ranja ranja kardhi.
In all other dramas he is 👎
Badshah Begum and Badzaat both were oh so underwhelming and unimpressive😪😪😪 Was so looking forward to these two dramas but I guess all they are going to provide is more roastable material to Hassan and Aamna which we all are going to thoroughly enjoy 😂😂😂
I mean Badshah Begum was okay for a first episode, but Badzaat has too much over THE TOP acting and production! This is because it's made on GEO! If it was launched on ARY or HUM TV, then there will be sutitly and it will be more pleasant to watch!!!
BADZAAT..its all filmy but i will watch it to see imran and urwa cute chemistry the way wali scared her intentionally and also to see some man to man rivalry between wali and danyal..DOBARA is on slow track and have not seen badshah begum yet..
we are not watching Amanat n aey musht e khak... why you people are still watching????
"hello" k bagair koe baat nahi kerta except in dramas
Throughly enjoyed the review especially aye muste Khaak.
Ghulam Gardish was excellent! Old is gold
Bia's entry clothes right form the train scene till the house scene was the same clothes that she later bought from the shopping mall......LMAO
i know right! such a cringe moment 🤣
@@purplestarm8864 😆😆😆
Salam Hasan,
Why we are continuously showing “clubbing”, “drinking” and “drugs” in our TV dramas? Also in the movies.
In my opinion, this is not right for so many reasons.
I can understand that all of this is now the new normal in our society.
But we don’t have to promote this in our dramas and the movies.
Can you please have a discussion on your next CZcams video, if possible?
Geo exceeded my expectations with badzaat. dramatize karne ki had paar kardi. baadi mahanat ki hai poori team ne. Jiss tarah har ek scene ko paanch das minute keecha 👏👏👏 rona aagya mujhe 🌊🌊
per bhai, urwa imran ashraf ke saath bilkul acchi nahi lag rahi 🙏
Badzaat. It’s too dramatic, filmy and over the top. Too unrealistic. I can’t bring myself to watch it any further. I find Imran Ashraf’s acting same as his other dramas (apart from bhola).
I am very glad on your review on Badzat it was too much dramatic. Bad Shah begum looks better than bad daat but wait and watch.
Plz interview yumna zaidi.
"BADZAAT "
#Story prediction
Wali and daniyaal are rivals , wali and beea will fall in love but daniyaal will come in between not because he's in love with beea or something, it's just a part of hate game between the brothers. Daniyaal seems sweet which he's not.
it will be very kind of u if it can be explained.why in pak drama lady of the house sitting on beautiful sofa cutting veges and onoin.
secondly. with hair long as horse working in kitchen.
we r sick of these HAir pieces.
Let's been honest here ...Badzaat is bad direction and acting. Let's try not sugar coat Imran's acting...it was quite horrid.
I agree hassan .
In dono ki jori bohut achi LG rahi hai
MY favorite drama Badzaat ❤️
Love
Another nonsense drama of Geo...Badzaat....But Badshah Begum seemed really good and totally in a different way than other ongoing Pakistani dramas.
With due respect and sorry to say amna n hassan it seems ur guys were holding back ur real feedback on badshah begum......bcz in many scenes execution was very bad....n girls being that much urbanised calling "roshan ara " in club while her maid is calling her roshi😜
Yesss we almost heard this word "roshan ara" atleast 20 times in episode and o my gawddd it was annoying as hell😂
@@sania.s3472 exactly...it was very annoying
I agree...I thought would dobara they are showing older woman can marry younger guy ang and live normally...but all her intimate hand gestures started to give maternal vibes which shows woman shouldn't..disappointed
Badshah begum- enjoyable 👍🏻
Badzaat- enjoyable 👍🏻👍🏻
Really looking forward to Haute Bites feature on Mrs and Mr Shameem!!
Aamna & Hassan , you both do a great job with your reviews! Even if I “conveniently” miss a drama or a few episodes I get caught up through your reviews :)
However I think the advise you give out to your actors/ directors and writers not to promote a certain concept or not to show a certain type of content , applies to you as well . I think you shouldn’t spend your precious time to review such dramas that are not worth watching , for example aye mushte khaq / Amanat , Qissa meherbano ka …. This would be a good way to show that they are not worth our time and maybe such content would stop being created.
As for your question :
Badshah Begum : seems like a different storyline and yes I would like to watch it for now .
Badzat: includes abuse and totally not interested . From the teasers it seems Ali Abbas’s character is abusive towards Urwa’s character and is going to be a painful watch . Especially more because the lead female character is shown to be extremely weak and helpless .
I liked badshah begum a lot
Saman ansari and farhan saeed stood out For me. Wonderful performances
Dobara: I am surprised you guys didn't discuss if Maher was such an evil character and what could happen, going forward.
Aye mushte khak ka story bahot unpredictable hogaya hai bcz next promo me mustajab sahada Le raha hai
Wahaj did Mahe Tamam before you started SH. He and Ramsha were really good.
Don't know in what reference you mentioned this but yes Mah e Tamaam was such a lovely treat.....very, very underrated. And Wahaj and Ramsha were too good together.
@@mehreenmisbah9556 it was in response to Amna's comment that his current work has been good.
