a distinctive version -and i mean that in a positive sense. I hope these two are still making music.
Yes some of the aspects of this version you can question (in English -Pourquoi? , some of the musical notation) but they made their own interpretation and bravo for that. Too many versions of this beautifully simple song get the tempo and thus the mood completely wrong or put complicated musical arrangements on it.
It needs a good voice and a simple accompaniment (preferably one instrument) and to be sung with passion and this has all three
yes, they are still making (good) music...! "tout va bien" was @ Les Ardentes yesterday (a great musical surprise for me, really!) and Sébastien Graux plays solo now (he played 4 years in a brilliant teenager band called RMS); both are very Young (20 years !!) that's what we can call "prodiges" in French language ;-)

De enige Engelstalige versie van dit nummer die ik echt mooi vind :) De essentie van het nummer wordt gevat in de zang en dat is iets wat ik tot nu toe enkel bij de originele Franstalige versie ervaren had.

Waarom in engels ? :(
Altijd speciaal om te zien hoe mensen Brel coveren, daar "ne me quitte pas" een verdomd moeilijk lied is.
De gitaar is er niet helemaal (vooral hoorbaar in het begin), de zang is goed, maar mankeert af en toe de emotionele klik. Al bij al een zeer verdienstelijke poging. Met wat meer ervaring achter de kiezen kan dit nog echt goed komen.
Heeft al veel eigen werk! Zeker eens opzoeken: Tout va bien met Tall, Between the lines, .. Fantastisch talent!
