Heel jammer dat het in deze versie nooit meer te horen was op de radio. Mooi dat ik hier getuige kon zijn als kijker. Niet elk TV moment is verloederd en gelukkig kunnen we bepaalde momenten van kwaliteit terugkijken op CZcams tegenwoordig.

Beste song die perfect tot z’n recht komt door de hoogwaardige opname met super microfoons. Daarbij de echte Steinway vleugel en alles komt tot z’n perfectie. Helaas daarna nooit meer gehoord op die manier. Dit is de absolute top.

I missed out on this series because I lived abroad at the time, but as much as Maaike's song "Dat ik je mis" made me cry a few weeks ago coming across it on CZcams, Michaels "Close to you" hit me like a ton of bricks. Unrequited love is, in my opinion, the worst form of love there is, and this song in all its beauty exactly tells you why. It happened to me: I hopelessly en desperately fell in love with this sweet and lovely girl, but while she was quite fond of me, there were no feelings beyond friendship from her side. I understood and accepted it, but it still hurt like a MF...
