    You lost me at the 6D mkii as it is not a good astrophotography camera, I should know as I bought one when it came out.
    I wish I had bought the mki as it's much less noisy than the mkii.

    it all changes when you put these on a tracker and shoot for something like 60-240 seconds. I prefer the original canon 6D over my original A7S. how cameras retain detail and color of the Milky Way doesn't seem to have much coverage on the internet. it's all about the specs which simply isn't the whole story.

    I know this is old but any of the A Canon cameras (astrophotography modded) or a fujifilm with x-trans sensor is the only way to go unless you want to modify your camera by replacing the uv/ir filter in the camera.

    For those prices why would you not buy a dedicated astro cmos like a ZWO? In some cases half the price of these Mirrorless Cameras.

    I'm a bit puzzled. Most of the camera features you focused onto (autofocus, white balance, noise reduction, continuous shooting...) are completely useless on the ground when you make astrophotography. I would have expected some more attention paid on to sensors' read out noise, availability of needed accessories (like clip filters), the chance to use third party lenses (even the "vintage" ones) without loosing the infinte focusing. So, meh... I can't say this video was really useful.

      It feels like a repurposed infomercial using stock footage…

    So, this is not a video about dedicated astrophotography cameras.

    The 6D mark II is terrible. It has terrible noise performance. And it’s overpriced compared to the better performing and cheaper original 6D

      @@abelcdk hey I'm looking at buying the a7iii because somebody is selling it used for a very good price. May I ask why you specifically recommend the a7siii over it? Thanks.

    • @abelcdk
      @abelcdk Před rokem +1

      @@carpetman9191 the main difference is the pixel density. The Sony a7SIII has a much lower pixel density so their pixels have a much greater size. This will make each pixel absorbe a much greater amount of light which in return gives a better overall image quality in low light conditions

      The a7 S3 pp is 8.4 but only a 12mp camera, the a7 3 is 5.9 but a 24mp camera and the trade off in pp and newer sensor would be worth the extra mp imo
