    Aren't Dads great, especially when they have owned 18 different boat that mostly needed repairing, now retired and living at the beach. Along come the pandemic and I move in with said DAD to save money on rent. My dad spends a lot of time watching StaticCamperVan and My Scamp Adventures. So I go find a used 2018 Ram Pro-Master City with low milage. My education on electrical, plumbing, insulation, bed building, storage, etc begins. two months later I own a Rolling Chris Craft of a van. 3 years later after adding a 2014 Trillium Outback and traveling almost 3 thousand mile around the country, I now live in a Thor Tallero 20J . Work remote, travel with the Sun( I hate cold weather) Love Harvest Host and Cracker Barrels. Those who Wander are not lost, or as my Dad always said on the boat, never lost often ADRIFT

    Professional, clean, still being yourself. You have a great editing style and knack for keeping a video going without it seeming blocky. I watched your 4 mins of peace video too, would be cool to see you work on a documentary. I'm a big fan of Renan Ozturk and his partner Taylor, can see you in those ranks in whatever direction you go. Keep up the great work.

      @@Codacolor definitely seems to work well for the handy man and even more so for the digital nomad. This video definitely helps bring the reality of it in a nice package. The whole parking situation seemed pretty sketchy but at least there is that app to help show where you can park overnight and won’t have to worry about police called on you 😆

    Congrats on the 1k subscribers💫! I had a question… Have you had to deal with mice yet? I haven’t and am doing everything I can not to. I’m praying Nissan is built in such a way that mice don’t want to get in lol

    • @Codacolor
      @Codacolor  Před 2 lety +2

      Thank you thank you thank you! I did have a rodent in my van for one night. I think it got in through one of the doors though and I'm not sure where it went because it was gone the next day. That being said, I scoured my van for places it would have been able to get in or out and I haven't found anything so I think the Nissans are pretty solid in that department (knock on wood).

    Are allow to mount a propane tank under your car? What if you hit something hard enough to cause a puncture?

    • @Codacolor
      @Codacolor  Před 2 lety

      Your gas tank is mounted under the car as well and it's likely plastic, not 1/4" thick metal. Punctures aren't really a concern, and even if they were, the propane would have to be exposed to an open flame or temperatures in excess of 900 degrees to ignite, and even once it was ignited, it wouldn't cause an explosion. Appreciate your concern, but blockbuster movie logic doesn't apply here. It's quite safe.

  • @stevec3872
    @stevec3872 Před 3 lety +1

    No, I don't want to live the van life. I do have a no-build van I could live in but it's just an emergency shelter. If I were to find myself needing to live in the van, that would mean something bad has happened, that I had somehow lost my home.
    So the van life has no appeal to me and besides, I hate to travel.
