Probably the most underrated song of the 90's. I saw this once on TV and could never forget about it. Can't find it on Spotify, it's a shame. Songs half this good from the same era have a million views on CZcams. This is an awesome song, yet some teenager playing with slime gets viewed ten time more than this. Humanity doesn't deserve this song.
Great Band. Just seen that they are still together !! and had a new album out in 2009. How did I miss that. Love this song, Life of Reily and sugar coated iceberg. This is their best video....finally one to go with the song. A band who wee ahead of their time. If they released this song now with the right promotion, it would be huge. Good luck guys.
Sadly, I reckon it would be even more ignored today than it was back then. They really pushed this track, top spots and interviews on all the chart shows, yet it still got nowhere. There just isn't enough appreciation for their style. And it's always somewhat baffled me, as to why not.
There's several longer remixes of it, I'll have to listen to them all! Way Out West Vocal Mix, 3 Jays Club Mix, ATFC Lightning Dub. (There's also Mercury Rev Remix, but it is shorter than the regular single mix.)
+Haris Baki : 100% agree with New Order, Pet Shop Boys, Genesis, Depeche Mode, Queen, the Smiths (so nice to see _someone_ give kudos to Genesis and PSB, not sure why so many give'em a miss), but I do also love me some Oasis and Lightning Seeds! Not too sure about Take That, boy bands aren't really my thing (though I have nothing against that genre). You do have mint taste, though, that yer do lad! ;)
Haha! Tilt was a great album. My favorite is City Bright Stars, but the song really didn't have a meaning to it. The instrumental is the best though (Pussyfoot Reprise) that is just awesome!

Hardly. The Lightning Seeds always had a 'dancy' element to their music. Tracks like Marvellous, Why Why Why, The Life of Riley, Happy Satellite and this one are particularly dance oriented. It was also very much what Ian Broudie wanted to do at the time. The band always sat comfortably between pure pop, 60s rock, indie and dance by combining all of them.
LS are one if the best bands of the 90s( my opinion) this is a great track but the vid is not LS , I'm a bit peed off that They are portrayed in a vid that looks like it belongs to Steps🤔
Quite laughable. Take That? Lightning Seeds? Oasis? A more correct list would be like this: New Order, Pet Shop Boys, Genesis, Depeche Mode, Queen, the Smitsh...and many more that are light years than these three.
