best life & it’s was the best decision i made . To those wanting to be a doctor, persevere cause it’s worth the wait.Life is full of meaning, you’ ll save lives , heal those in pain,and comfort those in distress…. You will be rich eventually,not only materially but spiritually as well.
is this also applicable for first gen doctors of their family with no connections?? I heard that politics is also rampant in hospitals.

Well said!😊 contemplating whether I’ll get an 11, 12 or SE. Been using Iphone 6 for the past 6 years, im that loyal to it. Kung hindi ko pa binato kanina un phone ko dahil sa kabagalan at nagchip un lower part, hindi ko pa maiisipan bumili ng bagong phone :))

doc with all these downsides why did you choose to pursue this career? do you have a glorious reason such as wanting to save lives or help others (😁) or is it just your dream? nontheless, i feel this path is very risky and it takes away a lot of your life just studying and studying. since my family is just kind of in the middle and work hard to continue paying the bills, what do you think are the best paths to pursue if gusto kong maiahon yung family ko into a higher lifestyle and better life overall? is medicine still a good option? i know this is very late but i would very much appreciate anyone and everyone to answer this
In our Med Batch, now in our 50's....I don't know of anybody who is financial trouble or could be considered poor...the difference is if you practiced in the Phils (mostly above average) or abroad (mostly well off).
To add, you need to pay a huge amount for the privilege to practice. 🥺

Thanks doc. Actually i having a hard time to decide kung anong course ang kukunin ko sa college. From the start gusto ko talagang mag magdoctor at sisimulan ko yung sa pagkuha ng pre med. Pero madaminh factors na humahadlang; years of study, financial problem and yung salary na makukuha ko if ever. Gusto ko mang imotivate sarili ko pero haha di siguro talaga para sakin ang pagdodoctor

Doc, I really want to be a doctor. 100% being sincere for the job. Kaso lang po, di po kami mayaman and di rin po kami mahirap. Kumbaga middle lang po, nagkakayod ganern. I want to be General Surgeon po sana, ask ko lang po kung mga magkano po kaya kailangang pag ipunan/magagastos namin hanggang sa makatungtong na po ako sa first year ng residency?
Sana po manotice, I really wanna work hard po muna or try to earn money before po ako mag medschool. So bale pinaplano ko po na ngayong shs ako at gang mag college ako, gagawa ako ng paraan para kahit papaano mapaghandaan ko yung pavdodoctor ko.

Matagal ang ROI sa pagiging doctor. One of the things na hindi alam or nasasabi sa mga aspiring medical students is that your medical career will rob you of your 20’s. You cannot enjoy things kasi nag aaral or duty ka. You cannot destress like going sa palawan at magbakasyon kasi duty ka. Walang VL sa doctors.
Again, exemption dito kung well off na kayo talaga sa simula palang.
