This year’s Eurovision Song Contest will be hosted in Malmö, Sweden following Loreen’s historic second victory last year in Liverpool
The Cypriot broadcaster CyBC has chosen to internally select their entry this year to represent Cyprus this May in Malmö…And it has now been revealed that the 2024 Cypriot representative is Silia Kapsis with her song “Liar”. She will go on to represent her country at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö taking place on the 7th, 9th, and 11th May 2024

Initially she was my preferred winner too. Then Mustii. Now I think it’s Raiven. I had a moment with Nebulossa. Funny how Raiven was 5 when we only had 9. Something about Raiven grew on me and love Veronika is on a Loop for me.

I feel Britney Spears vibes, whom I love, and beside from the song, the melody and her voice, I like the meaning she is trying to pass threw the lyrics!

Silia basically described ”Liar” to be about being your true self. To not get sucked into what’s trendy or how you think others should view you. It’s all about trying to avoid a fake persona and not being afraid to be you. So it’s Liars as in the social media influencer type sense and pretending you have this lavish life when you don’t.
Don’t know why Cyprus selected a song that was rejected in the Greek selection last year. I honestly see this as a borderline qualifier and wouldn’t be shocked if it fails to qualify either
