    Something you did that I haven’t seen with any other training videos is you showed what to look for *from the rider’s prospective* in the saddle! This was super beneficial for me, and something not even my in-person trainer provides for me. Please keep these mini training videos coming!

    Yes, I’d love to see more videos like this! There are some terms like that, especially growing up riding western as a kid and having to restart as an adult riding english, that I have no idea what they’re supposed to mean. I’d also love to see more of the training aspect of some of these things too. Like where to start with it on the ground, and how to translate it on horseback, what things should look and feel like, etc. Loved this one!

    Now I understand what my instructor was talking about, "Getting my horse on the bit." Though I've been doing it, I wasn't sure of what the phrase meant. BTW, just checked out your store and I absolutely love the tee shirts!!

    Thank you for explaining this. I've always wondered what that meant and it just recently dawned on me after something my instructor said, that I need to be pushing the horse into the bit. But, I still don't understand how they can't be on the bit if I shorten my reins.

    Thank you! Great 'show and tell' of 'on the bit'! I like your clear description of how 'on the bit' should work. Tucker showed it really well, too! What about a 'show and tell' about 'half-halt'. That is another one that might be useful and a good 'show and tell' demo topic.

    Could you make a video on what to do if your horse is green I have a horse and i can put saddle on her and she was good you can mount her in a small pen and be just fine but if I let her out into the pasture for a ride she stops or refuses to move or she’ll do the opposite of what you want and she will try and go through any open gate if your on her she is stubborn but a smart horse and fast at learning plz I need help ❤

    Thank you for this video! I am getting a curly horse and he keeps throwing his head when he is on the bit. I have tried a bit less bridle, but am running into the same problem. I need more practice riding in general & using leg on him, which he is very responsive to. Overall, I love videos that I can try to learn from, so thank you!

    Hii. Thanks for the video. This is like one of the few videos on youtube that like really make us understand. Me, having no actual trainer kind of depends on these videos. And also if i am on a steady trot and i ask my horse to go a bit faster, he hollows out. What can i do in this case

    I think my horse's bit doesn't fit her properly which might be the problem. My horse doesn't understand that squeeze means go forward

    Yes how to teach them. I have a western horse and I can’t tell if he knows.

  • @horse_addictforlife_ECuestrian

    Isn't getting them on the bit just another way of saying - they'll be putting pressure on their mouth everytime they move to get them to concentrate on me?

    Your seat should not be used for impulsion. The aids are separated, basically, leg means go, seat to slow. By pushing with the seat, you push the horses back down, when you want it up.
    Your rising trot is nearly perfect, but slow it down and get balance before trying to up the tempo. Not enough balance or power from behind at the moment. A few weeks of slow trotting and you will see the difference. "Forward" does not mean "fast".

    • @Wackyponies
      @Wackyponies Před 3 měsíci +1

      That is an extremely slow trot, the seat can be used for many purposes, slowing or pushing into a forward momentum. Please do not comment if you haven't done complete research of a topic.
