This is my favorite Sheila Walsh song and is from her album "Shadowlands" released in 1986. It's the only song from this album that I remember from the radio.
There are times when artists hit their mark. This is where Sheila Walsh hit her stride. Shadowland is where she did just that. Each song is beautifully crafted both lyrically and musically.
só o começo é de arrepiar, é o típico som dos anos 80. a bateria, guitarra o teclado e lógico o saxophone a melhor década da música em geral sendo a música não cristã ou sendo cristã como essa.
I have enjoyed Sheila Walsh's music ever since I first heard her "Triumph in the Air" album and saw her in concert back in the 80's. Her music is still as relevant to me today as it was 30+ years ago. Thanks for posting this!
I only started watching Sheila recently 2018 on our christian channel. She was one of the first people to lead me to the Lord, by just watching her on tv. I also watched Daystar who helped by just watching. I’m an ex-moslem and took the not easy step to the world,by being baptised on Palm Sunday. I had the privilege of seeing and hearing her at the Colour Conference Hillsong in Cape Town. She brought me to tears. I so much wanted to meet. But impossible as we were 5000 women who attended. Maybe we never know what God has in store for us. 👏💖💞💕🌹
Romy ... Yes, welcome to Christendom. I am happy that you have made a step toward a more worldly-open viewpoint. And, yes, it is hard to leave something that you grew up with. I grew up in a Cult, so I know how you feel to find something better. Kudos for you having the braveness to be something more than you were.
This is also one of my favorite Sheila Walsh songs. Sheila was one of the best, if not the best Christian female artist to hit the Christian music scenen in the 80's. AlthoughShadowlands showcases Sheila decidely moving in a more commercial direction, the songs still appealed to those who loved her more synth/ new wave/rock/pop sound from earlier albums.
Thanks for posting this! I played this song so much that it was a wonder my cassette ribbon didn't snap; it was where I was at the time. It's a song that gets you thinking. The entire album was great, but this song spoke volumes to me.
Thanks for posting THIS song... It brought so many good memories back to me! (I really used to like Sheila Walsh and her message a whole lot!) Nancy-Jo Morris Colorado Springs
absolutely incredible record and so underrated. Music ahead of it's time and superb artistry. I will never get over Sheila leaving the music industry what a major loss,
IMET HER SEVERAL TIMES AND I SAW HER I CONCERT AND I KNOW GOD HAD BLESSED MY LIFE LIFE ALL THESE YEARS THRU HER MUSIIC AL THINGS ARE SO TRIVIAL IN THESE DAYS ONLY THE LORD JESUES CAN COME CAN TAKE US FROM THIS TERRIBLE WORLD IN 2012
Totally love this album and song! I'm a heavy rock fan but I do love good alt pop and this one rocks! I bought this when it first came out and lost it. I'd love to repurchase the whole album. The whole thing was fantastic. Sheila's best ever, in my opinion.
visionbear Same...I started listening to CCM in the 90's & there were several veteran artists around but I never really heard much about her. I first saw her on American Bible Challenge & then was impressed with her interview of Rich Mullins. I decided to look up some of her songs & am liking what I'm hearing.
I loved Sheila on 'War of Love' and 'Triumph in the Air,' but lost touch with her recordings after that, so I never heard this song. It reminds me of Sweet Comfort Band's 'What Have You Got?'
have you written to sheilawalsh.com ? There was talk of them releasing some of her old music again but not sure if it ever happened. I also want Shadowlands on CD or even Vinyl
Thanks for uploading the song, Hermeyjdi If YOUr able to would you please load any one of these other songs from the CD? Or, all three? "Sand In The Hand" ; "Ship Of Love" ; "Valley Of Tears".

I use to bump this song as a little kid...lol

As is Steve Taylor's music too ...
Had this one on cassette tape and it was fantastic
Just too fabulous for words

OMG! This was such an excellent song from the 80s. It was hard to find good quality christian music during that time. Great sound! I miss this album.
Yeah, about only musicians worth listening to were Steve Taylor, Brian Duncan, Petra, David Meece, Shiela, and few others ...
By far her best album ever! Now if only my like will stay up here-should be 54 now.

Probably one of the most remarkable records in the history of CCM - I wish this album could be re released on CD & Vinyl.

omg, I loved this song! Thanks for posting - of all the early CCM artists I think her music still holds up.
trixiedance along with Rich Mullins, Phil Keaggy, Twila Paris, Michael Card & a few others.
@@kentlewis987 Yeah, also Steve Taylor still holds up, even more nowadays. His heart was after the Heart of God, if anyone ever was.

Wow!!!! I only wish I could get a copy of this Album again. Priceless. Timeless. Thank you, Sheila Walsh. God bless you!

Yeah, funny, all of my old stuff was on cassette tape. I have no idea how I'd ever get a good listen to it again -- if it weren't for CZcams.
I AM JUST LEARNING ABOUT SHEILA WALSH . I AM LEARNING SO VERY MUCH I DID NOT KNOW OR EVEN REALIZE ABOUT THIS TOTALLY AWESOME LADY AND SINGER .

This was her first album for Word Records and during this time she did mover to Southern California where at that time met her great times

Fun fact: the UK mix of this song is a little bit different in some parts.
I WISH I COULD FIND A COPY OF THIS ALBUM..... MY CD WAS STOLEN AND IT'S OUT OF PRINT.... I WANT IT BACK SO BAD!!!!!!
have you written to sheilawalsh.com ? There was talk of them releasing some of her old music again but not sure if it ever happened. I also want Shadowlands on CD or even Vinyl
Hopefully they came to repent. They must've needed it! 😀
@@stylebudd204 So much of the older music is hard to find. Thankfully, CZcams will let us listen to some of it.
this was an awesome album. its too bad someone cant post anymore tracks.
Wish I knew how...I have lots of it.
@@boomer1579 Get some cd to mp3 software (called rippers), then post it on youtube. It's not illegal as long as you don't make money off of it.
Thanks for uploading the song, Hermeyjdi

Does anyone have a recording of her song Sail On..that probably one that I really remember. Still great to hear this amazing voice again.
Sorry my name is Amina not Romy, that’s my daughter’s name. The comment below. 👏💕💖💞🌹💐
