My favorite contemporary Christian vocalist! Mystery is my favorite songs by Sheila Walsh. What a voice! Mystery was the first contemporary Christian video also.
Love this song. It was on a CCM compelition tape I bought in the 80s and was the first time I heard of her. I had to buy all her other recordings after hearing this song
When I think of voices that sound like angels, there are only two gals I think of, the first one is Sandi Patti, and Sheila Walsh. Surprisingly, the two albums that stand out to me for Sheila have to be A Time Such As This and Love Falls Down because all the songs are spot on lyrically.
Seems to me I've been this way before I just can’t seem to shake You off my mind All roads seem to lead me to Your door I just can't unwind Tonight, like any other night Tonight, I'm dreaming till the morning light Tonight, I just can’t understand Why You love me It's a mystery You're such a mystery Yes, it's a mystery It's a mystery You're such a mystery Yes, it's a mystery Time and time again I've let You down I’ve taken You for granted like a song Played You like a toy a child has found Left You in the cold And carried on, in callous certainty Carried on, forgetting all You’ve given me Carried on, sometimes I can't believe That You still love me It’s a mystery You're such a mystery Yes, it's a mystery It's a mystery You’re such a mystery Yes, it's a mystery Tonight won't be like any night Tonight, tonight I know I saw Your light Tonight, I think I understand That You love me It's a mystery You're such a mystery Yes, it's a mystery Oh, I know You love me It's a mystery You're such a mystery Yes, it's a mystery Oh, I know You love me...
You might wonder how her actions in the video have anything to do with the lyrics. I think it's like she's "praying without ceasing" as she reflects on her day. The video serves as a good example of how we can talk to the Lord even without bowing our heads and closing our eyes, which are actually modern practices for prayer, not biblical ones.

One of my favorite christian songs of all time!
I was a child back in Nigeria in the late 80s when our local TV station used to show this video. I am so glad I finally found it after so many years.

He is The Mystery and the great mystery also lies in that He has been revealed, Christ in us the hope of Glory.
Seems to me I've been this way before
I just can’t seem to shake You off my mind
All roads seem to lead me to Your door
I just can't unwind
Tonight, like any other night
Tonight, I'm dreaming till the morning light
Tonight, I just can’t understand
Why You love me
It's a mystery
You're such a mystery
Yes, it's a mystery
It's a mystery
You're such a mystery
Yes, it's a mystery
Time and time again I've let You down
I’ve taken You for granted like a song
Played You like a toy a child has found
Left You in the cold
And carried on, in callous certainty
Carried on, forgetting all You’ve given me
Carried on, sometimes I can't believe
That You still love me
It’s a mystery
You're such a mystery
Yes, it's a mystery
It's a mystery
You’re such a mystery
Yes, it's a mystery
Tonight won't be like any night
Tonight, tonight I know I saw Your light
Tonight, I think I understand
That You love me
It's a mystery
You're such a mystery
Yes, it's a mystery
Oh, I know You love me
It's a mystery
You're such a mystery
Yes, it's a mystery
Oh, I know You love me...
Thanks for sharing
