She says a problem with a more edgy fan base is that if you change they might revolt. This is true of all fan bases. If you change, then some of them are not going to be happy with the change.
There are real downsides to having a more edgy fan base, but i think the example she gave was a terrible example. Real examples would be: harder to get sponsors, will get blamed for what your fans do/say, might get targeted by journalists, etc.
She mentioned it her last drinking stream that she has chilled for the most part so that the other talents in Phase dont have to deal with the backlash as much and create rifts.
There are also downsides to not having a fan base at all. As a Vtuber, you have to distinguish yourself from the crowd somehow.
Pippa appeals to normal people. Because she's based and tells the straight truth (when not goofing off).
Remember that Rima Evenstar is woke. Just not rabid about it.
I really like Pippa every since I found her content.

"Controversial" is a tag people attach to public figures they don't like. Pippa isn't controversial. The Hogwart's thing was just a small number of twitter bullies attacking people they discovered to be weak. Normal people ignored them, which you can see in the game's sales figures, and the fact that nobody who streamed it paid a price for doing so.
one of the reasons I love Pippa. shes real. I get annoyed when you follow a youtuber thinking you like their personality only to find they have been lying for years (i know everyone puts on a small persona but I am on about the likes of boogie2988 etc who were completely lying) then turn on their fans after so many years because they get sick of it. 26:35 - This was actually a mistake. This is called "telling the internet what to do." Once you do that, you admit to being responsible for their actions in the first place. Shouldn't try to get on to certain people who always stir confrontation as though trying to shame or gatekeep them is your responsibility. It isn't. And they're allowed to be annoying around and to people you associate with anyway. Including while claiming to agree with you. That's part of it. You ignore them unless and until they say you said something you didn't say. Even then, you still probably ignore them because there's too many people to police all of them. People are going to be wrong. It's not your job to shame them into having your point of view. Telling the truth should be enough to do that.
