Lucid and Tesla are funded by China.
The Chinese designed the Tesla's autopilot with FSD source code and not to mention Tesla, SpaceX, Solar city are all Chinese rebranded technology incase you didn't know.
As a technician working on these cars it's so cool to see all my favorite CZcams car reviewers get their hands on it. Reviews like this make the blood, sweat, and tears worth it!

@@tarrdani6326 for 1 it only takes on average 300-500 gal to put a ice fire out, an even fire takes over 20,000 gallons, keep crying about droughts though you won't have any water to drink because it will be used to put that garbage out. Btw you obviously don't do any research, the model x weights over 5,000lbs thats 2.6 tons genius and 2.1 for the 3 and im not comparing a sedan to a crossover pos.
I have to admit that this is the first EV, that if I could afford it, I would buy. The styling, coupled with its range, is amazing!

@@LyonLoi they would be as it’s still very early for them. Customer deliveries began only last October, and their factory is still under construction I believe. But Lucid is doing some groundbreaking stuff here. It took many years for Tesla to turn a profit.

I clicked for the legs, I stayed for the entertainment, and I got more than I paid for... Like buying a lucid.
I'd love to see a wagon version of this, a fast American wagon is long overdue!

Lucid is basically on life support. The Saudi sovereign wealth fund is purchasing the stake it doesn't own. Lucid has to build vehicles that people actually want to purchase. As much as I love wagons, it would not be in the Company's best interest to go that route. Americans just don't buy them.
A tough looking high performance station wagon would be AWESOME. I haven't seen that done since the Dodge Magnum and I thought that car was ... SO BADD ASS.

Worked the die (tooling) that made the chrome roof rail that goes over the door, and the front subframe. (Yes that’s what the front aluminum part is).Happy that you liked the car. Hands down the best car made in America.
Besides these and Tesla's, and I think Stellantis, do any other US brands still have factories in the USA?
@@PiDsPagePrototypes Umm they all do, heck even Foreign brands have factories in US. The labor cost ain't that bad anymore relatively to the world.
@@Neojhun last I heard, GM and Ford did not, but that was also when I still watched NASCAR, and the reason they gave for letting Toyota race, was that they had factories in the US, while sone US brands did not.

Your excitement and enthusiasm mirrored this unique and extreme car. It is so well built with all the luxury I like. The MB EV was impressive, but this is a sex panther of a car. This review was worth the wait.
If you see it in person you will be amazed. I saw it and I was driving a U-Haul could see top to bottom and inside the glass roof. But the Red color of it is something that cannot be translated well on camera . It is exquisite ! I wrote the name of the car down while driving and came home and looked it up.

California offers a $10 000 incentive if you are below the poverty line. Should help you heaps with affordability.
So it technically starts in the $80k’s for the RWD version (which is still fast AF w/ great range).
I certainly hope Lucid survives because some of the tech and engineering the company is coming up with is insane. Oh well designed cars too.
Also would love for you to do a factory tour with an interview with the engineers. That would be fun to watch.
And to add, I think the bears is suppose to signify where the company is headquartered (California). It looks like the bear on the CA state flag.

7:10 Had to re-watch this. Take a look at the scenery whizzing by in the side/rear glass when Sarah 'gives it the beans'. That's some brutal acceleration!
I stopped by a Lucid showroom recently just to drool over the cars. I fell in love with the driver's layout, it looks fantastic. So glad you were able to review this car! Reinforced my goal of buying one of these.
That rear opening basically a low entry bed not unlike a small truck bed. That alone is worth the buy. very convenient Grocery Getter. Way cool

Oh yes! That was a sweet surprise - did not expect you to review this space-ship. Buy far the best looking American car for sale at the moment and exactly that type of luxury I like; the opposite of a Bentley, futurist instead of looking like the first half of last century. As always a top notch review - and I too would love to see a Lucid hot-hatch! That would be other-worldly! Thank you for what you do and Stay Awesome! (gonna have to watch this a few more times - totally awesome!

Sarah I told you about this car a long time ago and to review it! You did! Thank you so much. I knew you would love it. Yes its like a fighter jet on wheels. You can tell people but until they feel the G forces they wont understand . They just think its a sports car kind of fast. NO its on a whole different level than automobile. Im so glad you like it so much. It beat a Hayabusa motorcycle in a race for phug sake. Ya - you can watch it on CZcams. Tesla has NOTHING on this company. Everyone knows Tesla but Im telling you one day they will Know LUCID and realize that it is on a whole different level and in a class by itself. The fighter jet class. The Motors are DC not AC and 900 volts not 300 or 350, its 900 volts! It sets the bar!

I'm so happy you got to review one!! I've owned their stock since before they went public. I would love to own one! Check out their Sapphire! That one really $hits and gits! But it will be $250K. Also they will have a 200 hp motor the size of a shoebox,. These cars are awesome.

With EVs, should you mention the effect of regenerative braking on relevant axles where applicable during the 'This braking was accomplished with...' section, perhaps?

Great review. Lucid is definitely building amazing vehicles. I’m looking at buying an electric vehicle, but just as a commuter vehicle. I’m going to own as simple of a gas powered vehicle until they ban gas for my fun time
Gas will never be completely banned. It will just be slowly phased out over the next 20 or 30 years. Then it will become an expensive niche fuel for enthusiasts.
This is one of those vehicles that look amazing in pictures. And looks even more amazing in person. It’s a BIG car and sexy as ever. I see them cruising around often and always stop to take a look as they go by

I'm not generally a fan of EVs, but this vehicle is impressive. Only time will tell the durability story, but at first blush I'm really taken with it. Now, if I only had 180K burning a hole in my pocket.

@@SarahnTuned it works in a Tesla (Model X at least) my 2020 AWD can ride at 4 heights between 6.1” and 8.9” I’m not saying it’s a awesome off-roader but under 15 mph and a camera under the car, it’s fairly capable. Please review a Tesla S or X PLAID!! Just rent one!

Funny, my in-laws live in Casa Grande, but I'd never heard of Lucid until now. Expensive, but it looks like they thought of everything and did it well. Probably not overpriced.
It’s expensive.. but when you think of what it does and see how nice it is in person, it’s acutely priced if not better.
This is the first EV that has really got my interest. Great review.

The scroll wheel for the volume is BRILLIANT. Hard buttons for the most important things EXACTLY where they need to be, and simple but usable.

the trunk lid and adjustable seats are neat. that 360 camera implementation is next-level, I can't see any stitching!
