The other marines, maybe they were trigger happy, but A) their power armor could easily capture or incapacitate Holden with no weapons, and B) Bobbie wouldn't shoot lethal rounds at someone she knows and likes, she would find another way.
What I find interesting is that we don’t really know who or what they were shooting at. It could be that they were shooting at the alien device, or just Bobbie was. One thing to remember though is Bobbie is a Marine first, Martian second, and Holden’s friend third. If she was ordered to shoot, she would.

If Holden had told her about Miller about his relative control over the security protocol and the "nucleus" that would have been another matter altogether. As it stand from her PoV that was an ugly call but still the right one. The investigator should have closed the way upon their arrival .

Totally agree with the points on Anna; if its a redemption arc, it's really unfocused atm. I'm kinda fine with Bobbie, but if they included her I wish we would've got some Martian viewpoints. Like, we get the Thomas Prince, Behemoth, and Roci; why not some Xuesen POV?
As opposed to the book narrative, my prediction is Ashford in this storyline will be the one staging a mutiny an fails then he will be sent to the brig like in the books and those belters loyal to him will try to save him and the narrrative continues as written

You mean the 30 year jump for the book coming out next, or what? Thee are pretty large jumps between each book already, like 3 to 5 years between some of them. I imagine they will just keep doing what they’ve been doing and making the time jumps smaller.
I don't think that Persepolis Rising really needed as big of a time jump as it had, and the story can easily be done with a shorter time jump between seasons. The book 7 plot doesn't really need 30 years to happen, and the success of that particular faction in Book 7 would be easier to justify if it happened only shortly after the events of books 5 and 6. Heck, there was a mid-season time jump a few episodes, and I think that it was fine. It would have been better as a season premiere, but it only took a small bit of getting used to.
I agree with most of your points. I am always loathe to pass judgement on what a book needs to be successful, since part of that is a story that inspired the author, or in this case, authors. As a writer myself I know things can get stagnant after a while, and something like a 30 year jump could be just what you need to feel inspired again.
CJD Explains there may be other reasons for it that become apparent in books 8 and 9, but in book 7, all it appears to be for is to allow the factions introduced in book 6 to develop more, in terms of their place in the solar systems, and technologically. But while that makes sense for the antagonists, the main characters felt like they hadn't changed that much, and sol had rebuilt and restructured things, but things were similar enough that no time jump would be needed in the show. The antagonists could find new tech and stuff rather than building it from the ground up, and since apparently Belter culture hasn't changed at all in 30 years, despite having a powerful working government, the show won't need to change anything.

Yes! This is sorely missing from the show as a whole. We really don’t see much from the martians at all, which is really a shame.
Bobbie was not in AG so i guess they put her in here to use Frankie Adams a bit in AG plot.. or put some familiar face in the MCRN side
