Near as I can tell, the phrase "Light this Candle" was originally coined by Alan B. Shepard Jr. (the first American in space) right before his first launch. He'd been lying on his back inside the capsule for 4 hours, and still hadn't launched yet due to a series of holds, delays, and problems. So when they encountered another problem two minutes before launch, and had to choose between pushing on and cancelling the flight, he said to control, "Why don’t you fix your little problem and light this candle?” Since then, "Light this Candle" has become synonymous with "let's go", at least within the spaceflight community.
Cory and Feeny played it so cool when they were plotting to get even with Eric and turner lol. That was funny they pushed them both on the rollercoaster and made them do it.
"At one point, I was thrown forward, out of the car. I had to run in front of the car!" That cracked me up years ago, when I first heard it, and it cracks me up now.
Speaking as someone who wears glasses and has been on quite a few roller coasters while leaving said glasses on, the force and speed from the ride keeps the glasses in place. It's kinda like if you swing a bucket of water over your head repeatedly, the water doesn't fall out.
I laugh SO HARD every time they come back after riding the roller coaster...the look on Cory and Feeny's faces kills me....and somehow they switched spots that Cory ended up in the back and Feeny in the front....and then when they trick Eric and Mr. Turner....I LOVE this scene....

The harness is loose, Cory almost gets out as it starts. I guess the idea is it hit a sudden jolt, the harness opened up, and Mr. Feeny was thrown forward over Cory onto the track. Then Feeny had to climb back in before he got run over, and Cory quickly went into the back to make way.
There are perfect scenes that have perfect dialogue, punchline, attention to detail that makes them funnier, with a hint of mystique about them (how they switched car seats) and fitting ending. This is one of those scenes.
I personally think that Disney Channel should just let Michael Jacobs do some of the same things for GMW that he did for BMW. Boy meets world taught us so many life lessons in a way that anyone could relate to. From the episode where that girl's dad was beating her up to the episode where Cory and Shawn get hooked on drinking. In the episode where that girl gets beaten up by her dad, it showed us what to do whenever someone is being abusive and what we can do to help. In the episode where Cory and Shawn start drinking, Cory learns to stop after getting a lecture from his dad. But with Shawn, however, the show showed us that for some people, drinking is not an easy habit to get out of. Nowadays, Disney Channel wouldn't even dream of showing any of this stuff on its network. These kids watching Disney Channel are almost completely unaware of what the world is really gonna be like as they grow older. Disney Channel should just tap the show as TV-PG and show their audience what kind of obstacles and urges they will face later on in life. But if they censor too much, you won't be able to see with your own eyes what kind of temptations and difficulties you'll face as you mature. I'm not saying that I think GMW should go, because I don't, but I just think Disney Channel should just crawl a little bit out of its shell with the acting and spread the life lessons a little more. Only then, will it come even remotely close to getting the same kinds of ratings as BMW.
Jackson W that’s why im so glad my mom let me watch boy meets world. I learned many things from boy meets world and its one of my favorite shows. Like all of my friends have never heard of boy meets world.
I wish they would have kept it that way instead of making him dangerously stupid. Seeing him struggle to get into college was real and added dimension to his character. After that, although he still has some of the absolute funniest moments in TV, seeing that cool Eric continue to grow and develop would have been welcome.

***** Maybe its because they had a longer history with each other in a lot of interviews with the cast they said how they all really got along and even kept in touch when they stopped filming. Its the chemistry and the fact that there was so many funny characters in the show.
